  1. My best friend of many years has parents who constantly look over his shoulder and are overprotective, and he's 15...

...the sad thing is, THEY would let HIM go to the show. And when those people decide to let my friend do something that extreme while some other stupid fucker says its wrong, that's really telling you something.

And jumping in on Matt13's post, there are two kinds of kids: Kids whose parents can trust them and parents who just don't give a shit. If I went to the GNR show (and I wish I did out here) here in Chicago, my folks would let my friend and I go, because they trust us and know we'll be responsible.

So, she is a stupid cunt, because her kid is probably one she can trust in that position...

  2. I'm hoping that they'll be back next year.

This is only the first leg of the tour, so I'm assuming more dates should be added sometme around January.

You think? This tour has raked in some VERY poor sales and would highly doubt more dates being tossed in after its over.

As for another tour next year, I might see it. To attract interest, the album needs to come out. End of story.

  3. -3x LESS than we paid for Van Halen two years ago for better seats, as well as 3x LESS than what we paid for Aerosmith / Motley Crue earlier this summer.

-To be honest, who knows when these guys will tour again?

-Its not that far from home.

I gave my folks ALL of this, yet they still won't give in. I'll be 15 next Sunday, so I still can't just drive out there. What should I do?

  4. I said the announcement can be made in a TUESDAY,not the album release like it's being hyped.

the tuesday is about the announcement, not about the album release date.

But why in the hell would they set up an announcement for an album, in advance mind you, for a Tuesday. Its pointless. The album will be released on the Tuesday it was announced (I read 11/21, I don't frequent the board often so I could be wrong), the announcement has already been made...

  5. Its one of the better songs in their catalog (no pun intended)

Of all the songs in the GNR catalog, I definitely rank this in my top 3. I love the song, and have since I first heard it on Rock In Rio (never downloaded the demo, never understood why).

  6. I heard $38-58 for seats, and around $70 for floor. And there's no general admission.

$38-58? If THAT'S the case, I can do that! I'd go the really cheap route, but hell, as long as I can see GNFR! I wonder if my folks would let me do this one alone? I know my dad would. He let me go to Cubs games by myself before, and those people get insane sometimes :P

  7. So what are ticket prices anyway? Because if they're good enough I may just be able to go see GNR.

I looked on gunsnroses.com, and the ticket prices varied from show to show. The average was around $75. Add in venue charges and ticket fees and all the other fun things, and tickets will probably run you close to $100 each.

OK, thanks. I can try to work with that.

  8. I'd say save your lunch money or allowance. I always save my lunch money and I get 20-30 a week. I just got 40 dollars for homecoming tonight, but I'm not going to spend it. I just need 30 more dollars for floor tickets. And I'm 15 too, my dad will only let me go if I also have a bunch of friends with, but my brother is going too so it's fine, he's 17. Are you planning on going yourself or something? Just say you're going with a bunch of friends if you have any that are older than you. I think about it now, all my friends are older than me.

Haha, good idea. The problem with saving money though is that on Thursday I'm going to see Motley Crue and Aerosmith, and don't even have much money for that. I'll see if I can pull some strings and get to the show, because I wasn't too into GNR in 2002 when they came by. I also pretty much know I'm going to see the Who if they come by again in December (which I'm pretty certain will happen).

So what are ticket prices anyway? Because if they're good enough I may just be able to go see GNR.
