Anyone know if/who the special guest is?

I know its suicide sisters in Toronto, have they taken over from papa roach for all dates or just that one?

Not that I care... but if there is no special guest slot, I may try and make it to the show a bit earlier than I originally planned.

I wasnt thinking of even getting to the arena till 10, but if theres only one support act... maybe I should be careful. Axl may choose Friday to be on time for once.

Actually, I live in Kanata and it is part of the City of Ottawa now that the City almalgamated in 2003. But you're absolutely right - I think the problem in 1987 was that it was an outdoor concert. Ottawa has some strict bylaws on outdoor events, but I can't see that impacting a concert inside an arena.

Thanks for all of your replies - I'm feeling much better about the timing isssue now.

Lots of bands go past the 11 pm curfew. Pearl Jam played here last year and didn't stop until close to 12. They just have to pay fines/overtime for staff is the concert goes past 11. Most arenas work the same way, so I'm sure this is nothing new for GnR.

That said, my biggest worry is the beer. Most concerts I've been to at Scotiabank Place stop serving at 9 or so. If the concert is going on until close to 1 am, I need my beer.

Well, there was a pre-sale going on there that started at 10 am. I bought my tickets through it.
