  1. For a forum that consists of hard core Guns N' Roses fans there seems to be an unusually high number of people who can't seem to wrap their mind around the reality of the band. I look at the board each day only to find yet another bullshit thread from the world most hypocritical whining knob. I won't use any names, I don't need to...everyone knows who I mean, right? That’s right; he's the guy whose screen name is simply the misspelling of that country east of the US where GNR are selling out every show (apparently without enough promotion). Canada, that's the one!

It mystifies me to see that so many people raving and ranting and grunting on and on and on and on about things that are such horseshit. O.K. So we don't have a release date yet. Wooptie fuck, we just had a successful European tour. Then a few more warm-up show. A Chinese democracy tour coming up and there is still plenty of time left in the year to get the album out. I really want a release date so I don't have to listen to all these retards complain about not having one just as much as to feed my curiosity about when the album will see the light of day.

And no, we don't have a single yet. Wooptie Fuck, we have plenty of leaks to listen to. Lots of shows on the net. Concerts coming up and not to mention a billion other rock bands of the same genre. Sure it will be nice to see GNR light up the screen on music stations again. To hear the studio work we have been waiting for all this time and its coming people its coming and we will hear it and see it soon.

"Some people" like to bring up stupid points like "nobody knows about GN'R, they don't know who's in the band". But oddly at the same time they say “If Axl doesn't give us a release date or a single soon, he's fucked".

Well if nobody knows about GN'R because there wasn't enough promotion, how is not having a single or release date before the tour starts up going to have an effect? Why didn't it have an effect before? DUMBASS HAS ALSO POINTED OUT THAT THE SHOWS SOLD OUT WAAAY FASTER IN 2002 THAT IN 2006... ... ... ... ... ... wait a minute... waaaait a damn minute here....

In 2002 the Chinese democracy tour was announced with...

    1. no release date

    2. no singles

    3. no LEAKS

    4. a poor showing at MTV

    5. Axl still hiding from the spotlight for the most part

    6. a band that didn't look as good or sound as good

There is more "promotion" and media attention now for Guns N' Roses that in 02... all you have to do is think a bit...

    Let’s try that, shall we?

    Ok, here we go.

    The 2006 tour...

    1. Is following a hugely successful European tour

    2. The New York warm-up shows that sold out in minutes

    3. plenty of leaks of new material

    4. redemption from the 02 MTV showing

    5. a load of media attention

    6. A band that is truly a band that looks as good as they sound

    7. an official website

    8. lots more

Like I said above we don't a single or release date yet, but if we whine and cry about that, we are just plain greedy. As you can see we have way more in 06 than in 02. Call it promotion, call it awareness, call it whatever the fuck you want. We have more now than ever and YES! THERE IS MORE TO COME AND WE DON'T EVEN NEED THAT MUCH PATIENCE FOR IT.

We have heard in the "daily bullshit threads" a lot about things like industrial promotion, commercials, radio announcements, bla bla bla bla. Do we need them? Do they absolutely have to sell into the media advertisements directly? No, they don't. They don't. But just for arguments sake, I live in a relatively small city on the east coast of Canada and a few days ago, I heard a radio advertisement for the tour. So there is to some degree some advertising. Wooptie Fuck, it doesn't even matter.

It doesn't matter because being a huge commercial success doesn't matter to anyone who is a true fan of the music. I'm sure CD will be a big success regardless, but why are some assholes so bent on complaining about the thought THAT IT JUST MIGHT NOT BE A COMMERCIAL SUCESS BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AND SELLING OUT?

I think it’s because they are failing to see that this is GNR's style. They come on stage late at the last minute, they announce shows late, at the last minute, just as they will with the announcement of CD. And the first single.

They come on stage late because this makes the audience intense and eager to hear them play. Same idea for CD. We will on edge, and hungry, and eager to hear the rest of it.

So with that being said? Are you really surprised we haven't got a single or release date yet? Does it matter?

I'm not. To anyone who still wants to rant on about promotion and popularity and advertisements... and all that bullshit...

    Kiss my ass, will ya?

Thanks for reading... and to some, thanks in advance for the effort in flaming...it won't work

    A8R

    Who the fuck is "we"?

  2. If we get enough people interested I know of a place that would host it. We could choose the music. The beer is quite decently priced and I could work on getting a cheap set rate based on how many people we bring. ID will be less of a problem but I don't want to fuck these guys over either. It would be nice but we'd have to get a number of people interested. Even 50 would be awesome. Its basically Dufferin and Queen but a few more blocks west.

Going to a nice place would be cool but it would be better if we just made our own party happen. Then we could control it. There are a few other reasons that it would be good to go there but I won't bother posting.

Oh yeah and Im talking about an afterparty. Not before the show.
