Shadow sounds good. Wouldn't mind them dusting it off for the upcoming Euro leg. I don't know why people think release has any bearing on future original material being released. This is just something to tide people over while Axl/DC and Slash's solo take over 2019.

Why is the Shadow single not on Apple Music yet?

I found it in Apple Music in the albums section for Guns N’ Roses. It didn’t show up when I searched for the song title.

Guys... guys. We were overthinking it and looking it it from completely the wrong light.

Winnipeg litho is based on this image from the Manitoba Department of Mines and Natural Resources from almost a hundred years ago.

I thought I KINDA recognized the art style and sure enough, after being pointed in the right direction, it turns out it's a style that is synonymous with a very famous poster artist by the name of Tom Purvis. I recognized the artwork but never knew the artist's name until now. If you've ever seen old British propaganda posters (which Purvis did a few of) or the classic series of vintage London Rail posters, you would probably recognize the style. But if you're like me, you'd have no idea about the name of the artist. Well, now I know. I can't confirm whether the original Manitoba artwork is by Tom Purvis but it is at least done to imitate his style. Some of his famous rail posters:

    Thank you for this!

I'm so fucking stoked for this. Never thought I'd see Slash and Axl together, let alone live and in person.

I work somewhat in the area. Debating leaving early to try and check out soundcheck if there's any way to determine roughly what time that all goes down at.

I've only seen Axl, Duff and Slash together live once and I was 16 years old way up in the rafters at the old Winnipeg Arena. Had to go for the pit this time! My tickets are at Will Call so I'm hoping that process goes smoothly.

  4. Most t-shirts are $40.00. The one I got was $30.00. There were hoodies for $70.00, wallets and wristbands for $10-20, bags (Don't remember the price), belt buckles.

    No tax on anything.

At the Winnipeg concert the price of the hoodie was $80. It had the current GNR logo on the front and the How Are You Grenade graphic on the back. I am still regretting not picking it up. sad.gif

  5. They played 3 hours???? Great!!!

But Winnipeg crowd didn't deserve it.

    what's wrong with Winnipeg's people ?

    They throwed things to Tommy.

You guys are blowing this shit way out of proportion. One fucking guy threw something at the stage....one fucking time...and that was it. The rest of the night was fine. You make it sound like they were throwing shit all night.

  6. Great fucking concert! Finally getting to bed now at 4am. Would have liked to have heard There was A Time...maybe next time! I have to admit I was a little disappointed at the crowd reaction to some of the new stuff. Come on guys, this shit has been out for over a year. You're at a Guns N' Roses concert...get into it!

  7. I REALLY want to be in the front row. Not only is this my first ever Gnr concert, but it's my first concert period. I found a way to be in Toronto for buisness the day before, but day of the concert I have NOTHING to do. So I'll be sitting in my thermal gear nice and early.

The anticipation of being there for 12 hours before Uncle Axl starts kicking ass will be awesome.

imo, being front row on the rail is the best place to be most of the time. Only problem being at some venues the sound, especially the vocals will travel right over you. That happened to me in Mexico 2007. I was in the front row & couldn't here Axl singing! I thought maybe his voice was off, but the stage was too high and his vocals simply soared over me. On the other hand, in Greensboro the sound got more clear & powerful the closer to the stage you got.

My suggestion is go up front like you planned, but if you can't hear the vocals, get the hell out of there & find the "sweet" spot a bit further back.

This is sound advice. I agree. Besides if you're a bigger guy it doesn't matter when you get there, you can always make your way up to the front.

  8. Has Axl reached Winterpeg yet. I mean Winnipeg :P

When he played Ottawa in 2006, he was still in Toronto three hours after the doors opened. So I'm going to go ahead and say "no".

That is too funny. Do we know who is in Winnipeg yet. I know Ashba is but anyone else?

My nephew said he went to the MTS Centre two hours ago to pick up his tickets and could hear GNR rehearsing...including Axl. He's not the type to bullshit so I believe him.

  9. Dj ASHBA™ commented on his status:

"Finally got to my room, haven't been to bed yet. . . . and it's cold as shit!! hA! wow!"

Does this mean he's already in Winnipeg? It's actually quite warm here for this time of year. Two mare days!

  10. Not gonna lie, it's fucking cold here right now. But hopefully the temperature mellows out a bit by next week.

They're forecasting a high of 3 degrees celsius on Wednesday so it could warm up just in time! I've been looking forward to this concert ever since the last one ended in 2006!

  11. Axl sounds awful in "This I Love". He sounds like an American Idol auditions reject. He needs to practice (on his own time) how to sing this song live. Either learn how to sing it or just drop it from the set.

    My ears are bleeding.

I think this assessment is delusional, and is a perfect example of your over the top "projecting" in an attempt to feel better about yourself, and to gain attention. In no way whatsoever am I a blind follower--in fact I think he is weak on part of Catcher and Prostitute (1st verse, great on 2nd), but on This I Love, he sounds great! That is a tough one to sing in that setting, and for the most part, he was solid. I've never seen a wannabe on Idol have the natural presence, realness, and emotion that Axl displays. They guy has more talent in one of his cells, than all the Idol contestants I've ever seen do combined.

    That's right!!

I was not a fan of this song at first but it grew on me and it grew on me fast. I am fucking impressed by Axl's live vocals! I really hope they play TIL on January 13th in Winnipeg!...I never would have said that a year ago.
