  1. awesome!!! rock3

I wondering why they aren't playing CD though, it's the Chinese Democracy world tour and they don't play CHinese Democracy?

maybe because CD sucks live. All the bootlegs I've heard of it suck. IRS, Better, The Blues, and Maddy are all sooooo much better live.

And please, stfu about the setlist. Nobody who isn't a hardcore fan like us wants to go hear songs they've never heard before. They play 3 or 4 a night and that's fine. Trust me, when they play the new songs the excitement for most people in the crowd goes down, except for the few of us there who know them.

  2. Great quality! Thanks for posting.

EDIT: Of all the songs off Appetite, the one Axl sounds the worst singing is definitely Sweet Child, which is unfortunate considering it's the band's calling card and most popular song amongst the mainstream. He generally sounds pretty great on Jungle, Rocket Queen, Think About You, etc., but SCOM just sounds awful IMO. I'd say he should drop it from the setlist along with YCBM but they're the band's two biggest hits!

Yeah but even in the old days SCOM was his worst song live. He sang the intro songs like Bad Time and Sail Away Sweet Sister better than he sang his own song. YWBM is impossible to keep up with live at the end. He used to be amazing at it though. But they can't drop them, as you said they're 2 of the biggest songs, and they're great for the crowd.

  3. Like I said in the worst voices thread, to me, some of the best voices ever are Bob Dylan, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Axl Rose, Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger, Kurt Cobain and Izzy Stradlin

The best technical singing-voice in rock was Freddie Mercury, by far.

??? Bob Dylan, best voice?? lol, Bob Dylan is one of the greatest lyricists and music writers ever, but he has a terrible voice. It's one of the reasons why GN'R plays Knockin' on Heaven's Door so much better, cause Dylan's voice isn't half as good. When he plays live it's only good because the lyrics are good and you're actually seeing him play live, but if you listen to the vocals they suck. I agree with everybody else you said though, as I love Izzy's voice.

  4. I love both bands, although I'd have to put GN'R ahead by quite a ways. You know when an AC/DC song is being played because the guitar and drums sound the same in almost every song. Angus busted out a few good solos, but nowhere close to anything Slash did. AC/DC was able to still be good after losing their first lead singer, but GN'R would never have been able to continue nearly as well without Axl (just check out Velvet Revolver). In a way it's a good thing that they went the direction they did the the Illusions because they weren't repetitive at all, and it brought out a new style that still kicked ass.

And how'd you just hear about Back In Black? It has some of the most famous songs ever on it...Back In Black, You Shook Me All Nite Long, Hells Bells, Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution, Have A Drink on Me, etc.

  5. Better is not a summer song.

By the way, only 3 more weeks and we'll be listening to Guns N'Roses' new album !

We'll know by the next couple of weeks. Cause by then either Axl will say that the album will be delayed even longer, or we'll have a radio single/music video, so the album will probably be coming out.

  6. hmm...I'd have to go with every rap song made these last 3 years.

"Lean with it, rock with it(x25000234231)"

    The whole song.

"We fly high, no lie, you know it, ballin."

What a gay fucking retarded ass mother fucking shitty song.

"Snap your fingers, do your step, you can do it all by yourself, let me see you do it."

(shoots himself in the head to end misery).

  7. Ok, so death metal is the absolute worst thing in music history. I'd rather listen to Toby Keith over any death metal, or most music these days for that matter...well, that's a lie, but the death metal things aren't.

Velvet Revolver and Wolfmother have been the only half-decent things in music these past few years. Now with rap going down the drain 10x worse, I'm going mental.

CAN"T WAIT FOR GN'R TO STRAIGHTEN MUSIC OUT!

  8. TWAT is closer to Estranged and November Rain than to Paradise City as a song....

Would Estranged or November Rain be a good closer ? I doubt it.

TWAT has a much more rock n roll vibe than either of those. Really guitar heavy and epic in rock n roll terms, not piano epic.

The guitar solo seems perfect to close the show to me personally.

You can't ever close a show on a guitar solo. Paradise City is the perfect closer and I wouldn't want any other song over it.

  9. It's unfortunate that they only focused on the bad in that article. Having said that, Axl really let himself in for it this year by promising the album and then not delivering.

And in '99 or 2000, one of the two, '02, '05...see a pattern? I still think it will TRULY be out by '07.

  10. I was wondering if you guys think that Axl should sing those short parts of other songs like Since I Don't Have You, Bad Time To Be In Love(I don't even know if that's the name), or whatever like he used to. I think he should, I watch old clips of when he used to during the Illusion tour, and I think that they're awesome. What do you guys think?

  11. Please stop wasting your time and stop.

Ill stop since this is not the place for this, but I'LL decide if I am wasting my time, k? :fuckyou:

No, you are wasting your time...and your wasting space. Nobody else cares about your views and this isn't the right place. So yes, you are wasting your time.
