agree, I was in the pit and it was embarrassing looking around and everyone was standing there and I was the only one who seemed to be having fun

I was in the pit on Slash's side and majority of people were having fun.

I was embarrassed by grown ass men holding their phones up vs living in the present. But that's the world we live in.

Bottom line is I had fun and the show exceeded my expectations.

Everywhere in downtown Minneapolis? Spending my day bar hopping up by Target Center/TCF Stadium/First Ave. and then making the drunken walk to the show. First time seeing Axl, Slash, and Duff share the stage since the Metallica/FNM show at the dome. I saw them all separately since then, but this is going to be special.

Agreed, this is special and the party will be all over Mpls.  Just wanted to pinpoint a general area to meet up with fellow members.

I will not go to all of them, but considering the dates are unknown, I have four options which is nice.  I probably won't go to Chicago mainly b/c it is a very expensive city to visit and I'm going there in June for Copa America semi-finals and a cubs game with my son.  However, I may go to the other three all depending if the dates fit into my schedule and I either win money in Vegas or don't blow a bunch of money on gambling and tickets for the second night's show lol.

Jealous. I looked at semi final tix and they were too spendy for me.  That and the Cubs game sound like a mega weekend!!

if you end up going to Guns in Chicago I'll buy you a beer at the pre party.

  4. I've never been to a GNR concert and never been in GA standing for any rock concert. One question: Will I die?

For those prices you are going to be standing with Yuppied up moneyed thirtysomething GN'R fans so I do not think you have to worry. In the good old days you would depart smelling of beer and majurana as well as sweat, body odour and urine - none of which would be your own.

    Frontman speaks the truth.

  5. Created demand through the presale to increase price for the general sale.

You're probably right if that's indeed the case. I still think a couple of things are going on with these Vegas gigs:

    1) If they plan to charge $250 top tier for stadium shows, then they've likely increased the price because this is two arena shows and they're trying to make the same money with a smaller audience over two nights instead of one (the promoters that is), and of course, it's to test the waters for tour pricing as far as demand goes.

    2) They figure if people are willing to spend $350+ on scalper tickets, they might as well make that money for themselves. If the demand doesn't turn out to be there then those might drop once the tour hits, but if it sells out anyways then the prices will probably stay. Greedy perhaps, but that's the business, the promoters will milk it to get as much money for themselves after they've paid the band the $3 million per show.

Less people will probably buy merch with these ticket prices, but they've already guaranteed an "x" income where any merch sales will just be a bonus.

    Agree with this.

  6. I heard the Powertrip that morning and the "Superstar" and his crew were commenting on the price of the ticket and whether or not the Guns would sell out the Target Center. Without a doubt morons regardless of their thoughts of Axl based on the fact they are morning radio guys.

Your enthusiasm about the band is great to see/read. See ya Dec 2!!
