  1. Axl, Slash, Duff, Dizzy, Richard, Frank. No one knows anything about whether or not they'll continue on with a third guitarist, but if they do it seems Dave Kushner's name keeps coming up. Izzy will no doubt at least make guest appearances. Who the hell knows with Steven and Matt other than that they definitely won't be regulars? And all signs seem to point to Shitman being out now (at least for touring), and good fucking riddance.

As said many times, there's no fucking logical reason to even bother playing the nu songs. No one cares, and there's literally no pay off doing it in the long run. But Axl's fragile ego will never allow the songs to just be dumpstered babied. So we'll probably be force fed at least 1 or 2. I'd imagine, especially if Kushner is really involved in this gig, we'll probably get 1 or 2 VR songs as well. Personally, I hope they just stick to 87-91 stuff, but again I highly doubt Axl's stubbornness will admit the reality that the CD stuff never connected with a major audience, and that nobody cares. Abandoning the material is doing just that.

I don't know if "forced fed" is right. There were some songs on CD that were good. I know we all have our opinions but I liked some of the songs on CD. I would prefer if Matt and Steven were part of any future tour. I have no feelings toward Frank. He was a hired drummer. I agree Izzy will pop up every now and then and I think for fun Gilby should be allowed to show up. If they come to LA I will go. But ultimately, I hope new music comes from this. From the original writers.

  2. What is the lineup going to be? We know Duff, Slash, and Axl but what about Matt/Steven, Izzy/Gilby, Dizzy/Pittman, etc. And will this "reunion" play the new GnR songs like "Better" or "Prostitute" or "Catcher in The Rye" etc?

We're the other 452 threads speculating the same thing not good enough?

first off it is "were" not "we're" Second, why don't you cry some more.

  3. Not that impressed. I listened to Shackler's, Prostitute, and TWAT, and didn't like them. Don't know what all the hype is about. On a side note, in TWAT why is the lyric "nevermind who gave you head" muddled in the original and blanked out on this remix. I think it is a good line that should be clearer. Like I said, just a side note.

  4. It was great to see Duff on stage with Axl. I agree with the previous people who pointed out the lack of interaction between the two. Even though Axl previously said he would have no problem having Duff on stage he didn't exactly seem welcoming. The first time in around 18 years or so these guys play live together and no hug, did they even shake hands, or say, "It is great to see you?"

I am hoping Duff shares this moment in his Seattle Weekly column. Would like to get the inside dope.

  5. I love Top Gear. Axl would be a great fit. He is a fan of Formula 1 racing. Jeremy would be a great person to interview him. Axl would have to practice driving with the gear box on his left. But I think Axl would get a kick out of being on the show. Doesn't he own a Ford GT 40? He and Jeremy would have lots to talk about.

  6. I loved Little Caesar. Great bar rock band. They just didn't catch on. "From the Start" is one of my favorite songs. ron Young has a great R&B voice. I would love to see them open for GnR.

  7. Beach Boys. Whether you like it or not they were THE American Band in the 60's. Only The Beatles rivaled them. Infact the the Beach Boys set the bar. Pet Sounds forced The Beatles to "up their game." McCartney said the album blew him away. Later on came The Doors, LS, Eagles, Aero, etc.

  8. I saw both versions. Once in Vegas for their warm up before Rio and last night at Universal. I liked this band. I'm not sold on Fortus. I just don't like his stage mannerisms. I don't know if they need that many guitarists all walking around the stage doing their "Rock Star" poses (especially Fortus). But I was struck when they just started jamming during the piano set up. They were doing this bluesy, rock, groove, music and they seemed to just put all that posing on hold and just play TOGETHER. It really struck me that they were intuned with one another in those jamming moments. It felt like I snuck into rehearsals and they were just exploring a groove and even Axl joined in with the maracas.

  9. Obviously, not Slash. But I could see Matt hanging out, watching the show, ready to party, maybe with some of the guys from Camp Freddy. Besides Matt said he and Axl buried the hatchet. Who knows maybe Duff. i don't remember any bad blood between Duff and Axl.

  10. Great show! Very tight. I am very tired and have to get up in 3 hours for work but worth it. I loved the jam sessions while setting up and taking down the piano. The grooves were awesome I hope they have some of this groovey blues stuff on the cd. Axl's voice was spot on but seemed to get rough at the end but he was on top of his game. Izzy was awesome! He stuck around till the end which was cool. Any reports of former gunners in the audience?

  11. Did Axl take his lunch money? Talk about a petty and venomous attack! For a "music" review he spends a lot of time calling a Axl a sham and a beefy bloated 44yr old. What about the music, set list, Axl's voice which was spot on? This guy needs to learn how to review. I don't mind a negative review as long as it's objective. Not a personal hit piece.

  12. I only caught the last third of the show but he seemed to be with a good voice. I don't think he should wear that vest anymore. Everytime they showed him sideways it accentuated his out of shapeness. He looked good with the T-shirt and jeans.

Is it me or does Ron Thal have a Steve Perry haircut?

Anybody go to the show? What was the vibe? What about the Y generation? Did you overhear anything from them on their take on GnR?

  13. I don't see any evidence of surgery or botox. After growing up in L.A. I would recognize the work. Why do people keep on wanting to insist he has had work done when he hasn't? These are the same people who wouldn't know botox if it came up and injected itself into their ass!

  14. no, i already have an ipod.

Regarding problems with ipods. Mine crashed within the first four months. Luckily it was still under warranty. I asked the Apple guy at their "bar" and he said it was not unusual to have people coming back because of it crashing.

To the Bono people . . why don't you jerk off to Bono on a Bono forum not GnR.
