  1. They probably went on a little earlier because Greenville SC is stricter about their curfews. I have been there a few times myself, and have heard of bands being warned before hand about playing really late. I dont know about the show getting shut down though, like that person said, but it is true they are strict.

Wish I could be at the show, it looks awesome. The venue is smaller than most (still holds 20,000 I believe) but there really isnt a bad seat in the house. And its a great sounding venue. Hope the people there get a great show without anything going wrong, so far so good.

A strict mignight curfew I am told.... But this is GN'R they can shove the curfew well.. you know where lol

I from Greenville and I seen it before with other bands. Believe me they would have no problem telling axl to go stick it.

Anyway Im heading to Dallas Saturday to see them. Hopefully they will show up and come on at a reasonable time.

Wait wait, so the show will end 12am?

Alot of people from Greenville seem to think the cops will shut it down if it goes past 12, I don't see that every city has curfew and Guns blow it all the time.

Yes it is not a venue or contract issue there. It is a city ordinance and the law. It usually not a matter of fines as it can lead to arrest. It's happened before.

But I have been to concerts there before that went to 12:30 am with no problem.

  3. Axl I would like to know why you avoid the press so much. I think it's definitely hurting album sales, I mean, you haven't even done one interview. I know for sure you'd be able to get a few magazine covers. So why don't you? Why be such a hermit/recluse?

That's ur opinion and it very well could be true.

What I have to say a lot of people have no desire to hear.

With our team we were able to negotiate thru a mountain of issues to be able to release the album. Within' those negotiations I believed I had secured agreements, commitments and assurances that would have allowed a promotional strategy to be implemented that obviously I've had a fair amount of time to consider. Unfortunately those things never happened and once the record was closer to release the biz went about things in their standard business as usual mode.

Your fans want to hear what you have to say. That should be good enough...

  4. Axl do you really have 2 or 3 other albums of material? B)

For now we'll concentrate and keep our focus on this album but I will say I've always thought of it as a double.

And no offence but no one's trying to talk in parables. The issues are a bit more complex than anyone would like.

    Thanks for the info.

I think I speak for most of the fans on this board that all we want it to be kept in the loop with some info time to time on what is going on with band.

It helps everybody to keep interested.

    Thanks for posting :)

  5. Dexter,

Thanks for a great album. It is really awesome on so many levels.

I'm sure it is rewarding for you with all the hard work put into it.

I do think you should get out promote what you have been doing. That is why there is so much misconceptions because

you don't control the spin. Your silence allows the people with your best interest not at heart to construct your image in a negative way.

You owe it to yourself and the current band.

Thanks for participating in the conversation.

  6. the full album leaking too early can only be bad for sales in my view

lots of people on this board said they would download it and not buy it so what does that say if fans have that attitude

Past evidence does not support this. For example, the new metallica album leaked over a week before it's release and it sold over 500,000 copies first week.
