As far as I know, the 2006 tours haven't had any official names.

I might be wrong, then. I could have sworn promotional material listed them as Chinese Democracy tours.

Yeah the 2006 tours were named the European Summer and North American Tours, respectively. The only "Chinese Democracy" stamp was on the European tour, which had a blue logo similar to the 02 day's in blue and on the ring it said 'Chinese Democracy starts now' from what I can recall.

There's a band from Detroit called The Hard Lessons, and they're really awesome. I've known them since they just started out, but they rock pretty hard. They're mainstream rock band with blues and soul influences, it's really good stuff. Not super hard, but you should hear some of Augie's licks, amazing. I suggest seeing them live, their CD's don't sound horrible, but them live is 400% better.

Thought I'd open a thread for the Grammys tonight. I haven't been following developments closely enough to know if we can rule GN'R out. I just checked the Hookers & Blow site and I do see that they did cancel shows for last night and tonight. Having said that, there doesn't seem to be any buzz regarding GN'R doing anything, so it probably won't happen. As usual, I'll be watching again...just in case.

Yeah, I doubt it too, I'm pretty uninterested from the Grammys this year. Expecially the performances, the last great Grammy performance was probably The White Stripes rocking some serious face a few years back.

I just had a premonition. Chinese Democracy is never going to come out, but in like 10-15 years, they'll do a computer simulation seeing if the album was going to be good, and the result will come out that it would have sucked. Then Axl would have to train his voice back into shape while trying to prove it's greatness to the world without releasing the record, complete with an 80s-style montage, and then he'd fight a black guy.

they are probably gonna have a little article about it AFTER it has actually happened. And it is actually news to report.
