Either South America or Wembley. Definitely not Tokyo Dome. The crowd on the 1992 concert are so dull and polite. GNR is a rock and roll band, so we need a rock and roll audience that goes crazy!

I'm not hating on Frank, he's a good technical drummer but I would much rather have Steven or even Matt instead. That's not because I dislike this new hybrid line up, because I do like it. I'm just not a fan of Franks drumming on a few of the songs. Listening to Estranged from the first Vegas show, some of the drum fills just sounded odd and out of place. As far as Steven goes, there must be a very good reason why he's been so quiet. Izzy will just be Izzy and we have to respect his decisions.

Haven't looked through all the videos on youtube yet but here's a little clip I took of Estranged (not the full song I know but I only took like 4-5 quick photos and 2 clips last night, this being the longest):
Damn it gives me goosebumps hearing Slash play on this song again.

Does anyone have a link to a full recording of Estranged? I'm not having much luck finding one.

the 1st of April 2004 where IRS leaked + the following leak years were definately more exciting than this reunion. I always wanted a reunion but its simply 10-12 years to late IMO.Great news.
That said, I'm annoyed no one else remembered the guy on this who claimed he was hiding under a desk at Universal illegally recording 'IRS'. Surely someone remembers that?
Fuck sake.
The leak years is when this forum was at its peak. I remember those days well

Just came back to this forum for the first time in many years after hearing about the reunion. All I can say is that I'm super excited, I've been waiting far too long for this. I can remember the days of this forum discussing whether or not Chinese Democracy would ever be released... oh how far we've come

Dream Theater releasing 'Black Clouds & Silver Linings' this summer is probably what I am most looking forward too!
I'll see Dream Theater live this year!
Never seen them live before. It will be great!
I shall be seeing them too
Aslong as they come to the U.K in their European Progressive Nation tour like they said they will!
Dont fancy seeing them at Download Festival, so I shall wait unil PN.

Dont really like the song tbh, it just seems way too repetitive.
The video isn't bad though, nothing special.
It's a shame I don't like this new song, as I like all of Green Days previous work.

Dave Matthews
Why do you say that?
Hes a great singer, his ability to play in odd time signatures and still sing at the same time is great!
He's barely known at all over here in the UK.
I am still yet to hear anyone cover a song like Rapunzel well enough.

J.J. Johnson (John Mayer)
Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater)
Jeremy Colson (Steve Vai)
They are my favourite drummers.

On my Ibanez RG550 with the Lo Pro trem, I do but not as much as I do on my Les Paul. (Because of the double locking trem).
Having one of the best double locking trems in the world means that it holds the tuning like no other!

It's a damn shame he's unable to play anymore, I was just listening to him and wondering how even more AMAZING the guy would be now if he could still physically play.
Personally I think his technique is near to perfect and his phrasing is fantastic too (just listen to Opus Pocus for awesome phrasing).
Which is why I love listening to him so much, I can't listen to just constant shred for ages, it needs some rhythm and melody. Which I think Jason adds to it.
I rate him alot higher than other neo - classical players like Yngwie Malmsteen.
Another to take into account, is how young he was back then too.
What do you people think to him?

That wasn't bad, but no GN'R song is very hard to play.
Agreed.

Why the 'unsure' face?
Why write the same reply twice in the same topic, 3 month between each other?
Oh right haha.
I apologise.... I guess I should look to see if I have already posted

I never really got into these, some of their songs can be catchy, but thats all.
And Synister Gates is one of the most over rated guitar players ever, along with Herman Li ofcourse.
Their technique is just so damn sloppy!

Nirvana, however I hate them both with a passion!

Go Satch!!!
Sue em for as much as possible, arrogant pricks.

Damage Control by John Petrucci.
The main part of that song is in F# Major

I'm guessing alot of people in who replied in here like the nice classic sound of gibsons.
I have played my friend's Les Paul Custom, but I would still buy an Ibanez over a Gibson
Agreed.
For ages I had my eyes set on a real Les Paul, until I played my friends Ibanez RG1550 and fell in love with it.
So I went and bought a 1993 RG550 for less than half the cost of a real Les Paul, and in my opinion its 10 times better.
So that just proves the point, don't buy a guitar until you are 100% certain it's the best for you.

Why are people really slating Ibanez guitars?
Fair enough the cheaper ones are crap, but the japanese ones really aint imo.
What the hell is up with song temps?

Glad other people have noticed this too. Many of the songs are being played too fast. I thought November Rain was the worst.
