Juke Kartel is a great band, btw. I don't think many people know about them. If anyone watched Rock Star Supernova, this is Toby Rand's band. The cool Australian dude.

Yeah, I remember watching that show. The first song he sang was Knocking on Heaven's Door if I remember right.

It's funny that show wasn't bigger than it was, because American Idol is huge and most of the poeple on the Rock Star show were five times as talented.

Yeah I was quite disappointed when they didn't renew it for another season. I found it pretty entertaining. I still think it would be great if VR did something similar....

I read that the delay for Slash's album is partially due to having to get clearence from all the guest artists labels...

It's probably the best guess we have so far. Another reason might be that he's recorded all the instrumental parts but needs the rest of the singers to come in and sing. Might be difficult to schedule convenient times for them as well.

I really hope the delay in the record is because of Velvet Revolver. I don't see why it can't come out in late summer. 9 songs by Monday? He's only been in the studio a month or two. He'd finish by June...mixing should take a month max...

OMG I do not watch American Idol the 2 or 3 times I tried it turned me off. Some people will say that Slash appearing on that show is a sell out. But in reality it is a good business move. 30 million people a night watch that show. If you are in the process of promoting a new cd what better way to get you product talked about and for free at that. And by the way I will watch Slash on anything.

Agh I can't stand it when people claim a band has "sold out" because of something like that. Slash's career involves selling records and playing gigs, and the more people he can get to follow him the better. I bet showing up on American Idol would increase his album sales by at least 200,000. Good for him.

I think it's cool for the celebrities who have one so fans can follow what they're up to. I could care less about any of my friends who have one though. lol.

he is alright but if you want that type of voice Brett Scallions, former fuel singer and now sings for the doors, is a better option in my opinion. Similar voice and much more powerful. Seems to be much more energetic live too. He could do the VR songs just fine plus be more of a hard rocker that Slash seems to want.

Yeah he has a nice voice, kinda sounds like the dude from Oasis. Don't know if it's strong enough to deliver VR songs though...

Ehh, Missing Cleveland isn't too bad, but the other 2 sound like a terrible mix between country and techno imo.
