There's some interesting discussion here:
Worth a read if you haven't already.

Anyone can create a countdown. This looks like nothing official at all.
Ototoy is a recognized music store however.

When you learn Elton John by ear, you're learning music theory whether you realise it or not. Same goes for learning any music by ear.

Anyone else looking forward to Brain's Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack? That one should be massive on his composer resume.
I'd be willing to bet Bucket will feature on it too.
Apologies for going off-topic.

I tried isolating it again after being reminded by this thread but it's just impossible unfortunately.

The leak its 100% bucket.no doubt it just different take.
Nah Bucket doesn't slop like that.

Isn’t it Bucket who does the solo on Sorry?
I'm not convinced on this particular version. Listen closely.
It sounds like Robin had first crack at it, then Bucket rerecorded it for the album version. Just like Madagascar's lead parts.

Are you talking about this leak version, or the album? On the album it's 100% Bucket. This leak sounds a lot like Robin.
-
After a few listens this version of Sorry is amazing, even with Robin's sloppy solo!

The Shacklers leak is interesting to hear, but anyone saying it is better than the finished song is just a deluded Bucket fanboy.
No one's saying this is a better version. It's obviously a very early demo. Besides, the album cut has Bucket playing every part except for the solo and the tapping section towards the end.

Do we have any post-gnr quotes from Bucket directly attributed to him about his time/feelings of the band?
There are none.
This thread is very interesting though (page 3 onwards):

Is that Robin playing the solo on Sorry??!!!
What the fuck.

Right, I'm forgetting the time shift; for me, this stuff always happens at night, so I only see it first thing in the morning (tomorrow).
Previously they've leaked at 0700 my time, now it's past 1500.
Hopefully tomorrow

Damn my math skills, I though today was the day.
I'm pretty sure it should be today.

I hope the Shackler's Revenge on this upcoming disk (I know it doesn't have vocals, for that song at least) has the Buckethead solo we can barely hear in Axl's isolated vocal track of the released version. If that is present, the life of my ears will be complete.
I'm in full agreement!
It will be a tragedy if disc 2 doesn't release

So are the rest of the tracks just different takes of Robin's solos?
Different takes of Bucket's solos. Robin's are the same in every track.

One a day apparently is what I heard accept for one for whatever reason.... could all be bullshot though I guess
I hope you're right. To come this far and still never hear Bucket's Shackler's solo would be tragic.

What are some other bands that sound like this?
Only one musician sounds like this, but you're in luck 'cause he's released around 300 albums.

What are the chances that the second rough mixes CD will leak?

I don't know why this question should be funny at all. He played synths on the track Third Eye and was recording something with them two years ago.
Now that I did not know.
There's a few killer synth parts on the album actually, I thought maybe Danny was dabbling on the instrument but it could well be Pitman.
Do you have a source regarding him working with them two years ago? I'd like to read about it.

Absolutely not, I'd rather her work on it than whatever Pittman did. And I've a feeling with the way towel guy quit, that his work won't be on whatever they release going forward.
She's pretty average actually. Listen to Buckethead/Brain/Melissa best regards CDs. Her work is a very tough listen.

We don't know for sure.
We do know that Robin was frustrated by the inability to complete in album in 1999 after his first contract expired.
We also have the following:
- 2001: Robin and Buckethead reportedly not meshing, having a tense relationship. Axl mentioned this, actually, but put a PR spin on it.
- 2006: Fortus and Robin reportedly being not thrilled that Bumblefoot joined the band. Why share the spotlight?
- 2007: A fan commenting that Robin slammed his guitar stormed off in Monterrey 2007 because he was tired of Axl's shit or something to that effect.
- 2008: Azoff reportedly trying to push Robin out to loop Slash back in.
- 2008: Robin quitting, seemingly with no communication to management. The email to Del James (I seem to remember more colorful language in the actual email) that mentioned "only Robin knows what Robin's doing"
- 2010-2014: General disfunction, band members not being paid, no communication with band members
If you take the available evidence at hand, Robin probably got tired of Axl as Dutch van der Linde promising him a bridge to nowhere.
You've got to have faith, Robin! I've got a plan!
Can you link to the Axl PR spin regarding Robin/Bucket?
Would love to read it. Thanks.
-
Now I'm not a huge fan of the guy by any stretch, but I just saw this come up on my Facebook feed and thought many here would like to watch it.
Explains a lot actually imo. Robin plays like he speaks - he hasn't the faintest idea about where he is, where he's going or what he's doing, yet somehow it works - sometimes.

I love the sound that's on some of the stuff on CD, especially TWAT, Prostitute, and Madagascar. Are there any bands that have a similar sound or did Axl create something completely unique?
Are you familiar with Buckethead's solo work?

Can you post a link?
Years ago I heard a version of KOHD with a very cool solo from Buckethead. Have never heard it since but would love to.
