  1. I'd ask him 3 simple questions...

    1. How could you be such an asshole and steal your band's name by blackmail?

    2. Why are you using the name Gn'R when you're not with them?

    3. How long are you going to go on and pretend your solo band is Guns N' Roses?

  2. I think a lot of people here don't understand how great a band Judas Priest are. They are respected by media very much. It goes to show that giving respect to fans and keeping your head up and pushing forward with music constantly, pays off. And as someone said about an "Axl Master Plan"....we don't even know if there is one. On the other hand Judas Priest has one: release the double disc Nostradamus album, do a slightly shorter classics tour, showcase 2 or 3 new songs to fans, finish the tour, give fans enough time to get know the entire album's songs & lyrics back to front and then embark on a tour on which they will play the entire album live, with a theatrical setting, maybe a choir etc. For anyone who is a Judas Priest fan it is a dream come true.

  3. Rob Halford is still gay.

Yeah, and? He is clearly gay, and has said so.

Double album from Priest = win.

    A rational answer from someone.

It's a really great album, from the band that defined heavy metal. I can't wait to buy into it in just a week. It's set to be amazing, I heard 11 tracks from it and it is a masterpiece. :xmasssanta:

  4. Nostradamus is just about to get released...a 23 track 2 CD album (14 songs and 9 introductory pieces) in a matter of days. Axl could learn from Judas Priest how to make a successful album out of bounds of the band's usual repertoir. How did Judas Priest do it? For one they stuck together as a BAND, not Rob seizing the band name and using it for his own solo project, unlike Axl. Secondly, they picked a GOOD concept, and not a concept of self-indulgence, and self victim portrayal and twisting of truth. As well as that, they realise they have fans who deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, for all the effort they put to support the band. I will be lucky to attend the Judas Priest "Priest Feast" tour this year twice, in Toronto and Sydney, and these guys are a prime example of how a "different" album should be made, and how to treat their fans. Of the 11 track promo that exists, the songs are masterpieces.

  5. Hello all, im going to see Judas Priest today and was wondering if anyone here has seen them this year.

How is Rob`s vocal now? can he still pull of songs like painkiller??

What set list do they play?

Also on the bill today is Immortal and Quireboys so it`s gonna be great day ^_^rock3

Rob's vocals are relatively good. The band sound kickass. Browse around on youtube for the Helsinki gig this year. That should give you a feel. As for the setlist:

    01. Intro: Dawn of Creation

    02. Prophecy

    03. Metal Gods

    04. Eat Me Alive

    05. Between the Hammer And The Anvil

    06. Devil's Child

    07. Breaking the Law

    08. Hell Patrol

    09. Death

    10. Dissident Aggressor

    11. Angel

    12. The Hellion/Electric Eye

    13. Rock Hard, Ride Free

    14. Sinner

    15. Painkiller

    ---------------

    16. Hell Bent For Leather

    17. The Green Manalishi (With the Two-Pronged Crown)

    18. You've Got Another Thing Coming

Have yourself a good time buddy. I'm going to see them in Toronto on 13th August during my holiday, and in Sydney on 12th September.

  6. You people aren't getting it. It shouldn't be about if a few people don't want it or even if a large group of people don't want it. This is about exercising the full right of everyone who wants to voice themselves for a reunion to do so. If someone thinks that opportunity should not be allowed then you sir are a fascist and look at your own interests only. The fact is that most rock fans want a Gn'R reunion, and therefore should all be given a section of their own to make a petition or vote for it whatever.

  7. I am meaning this in a very sincere way. As to divide the war between people who believe this band is Gn'R and those who don't believe it is. That way all the rock fans who want a reunion would have a chance to voice in on the reunion without interrupting main discussion.

  8. Obviously there is a lot of fans that would like a Guns N' Roses reunion, and this site would attract many more rock fans if a reunion section was set up. I have always thought about it and wondered to ask the modding / administration on this forum if we could have a section with people voicing their wishes for a reunion. And I think doors should be open to allow all rock fans to come to this forum and voice themselves for it if they want to, up to now we have only had wishes for a reunion in other threads. This subject should be given a full fair run in its course however long it be, and perhaps it could influence something....

  9. Fuck. This means we can say goodbye to Guns N' Roses getting back together if it comes out under the name Gn'R. Let's hope it doesn't and that it's all untrue. No reunion = no Guns N' Roses.

  10. Not sure SS. I'm a member of www.judaspriest.com under this same name. The band will be hitting the road in June 2008, so I'd be safe to say the album should come out around late April / early May. If a setlist for the classics part of the tour interests you here is how it is shaping up to be in my opinion and observation, and then another 6-7 new songs should make to the list as well:

    The Hellion / Electric Eye

    Metal Gods

    Judas Rising

    Breaking The Law

    Diamonds And Rust

    Turbo Lover

Blood Red Skies (fan favourite voted in #1)

Sinner (fan favourite voted in #2)

Battle Hymn / One Shot At Glory (fan favourite voted in #3)

    Hell Bent For Leather

    Living After Midnight

    You've Got Another Thing Comin'

Other songs of possibility on the setlist include the popular '80s songs Devil's Child, Jawbreaker and the notorious Eat Me Alive, as well more raw progressive songs from 1974-1980 such as Saints In Hell, Steeler, Dreamer Deceiver, Dissident Agressor. It looks like this is really going to be a special tour, containing all the essentials, a load of new songs and surveyed fan favourites, and then a theatrical saga tour with new album played entirely and closed with an encore of a few classics.

  11. I can't wait for this album. It is said there is 18 songs and possibly over 80 minutes of music thus it may have to be a double CD album. Additionally, the album will feature 20 key moments in Nostradamus's life, will be orchestrated however with plenty of headbanding space and "monster metal riffs to span the Grand Canyon" as Rob says. The album will flow like a story without any actual stopping apparently. The lineup is definitive...reunited since 2003 in their famous Painkiller lineup. The tour will consist in two parts, the classics tour, on which they did a poll online to see what songs people want played the most thus possibly making it a classics, new songs and fan favourites tour including Sinner, Blood Red Skies and One Shot At Glory as well as quite a few new tunes. The second part of the tour will be the album played in its entirety in a theatrical saga, possibly live actors and with Rob changing outfits 'more than Madonna' as they said. This is going to be amazing. This lineup is just superb, they made Painkiller, the triumphant highly acclaimed reunion album Angel Of Retribution, and now Nostradamus. A truly great band and lineup.
