Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction

The vocal melodies were the biggest problem. The music wasn't that bad. They need to kick that singer.

let us know who you feel are original and unique...............

Opeth, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Steve Vai, Katatonia, Emperor, Ulver?

These guys just need to disappear. That album is going to suck. The only album worth anything is their self-titled one.

It's unfortunate that the only influences seem to be major artists. What I would like to hear is some influences from some lesser known, but still amazing artists.

Bands like Paradise Lost (the Draconian Times album comes to mind) for example. Somehow I think a harder approach could be interesting in a few songs. Since he's into many other styles why not try a harder approach (with feel) in a few songs.

I always thought that that picture of Adler was actually one of the hobbits holding a dagger or something. I always thought the Izzy quote was a bit strange in that context.

(I like Adler btw. More than Sorum. I kinda agree with Izzy's comment. Well put. I never understood how a rock band can ever kick someone for using too much drugs (This was the reason right?) anyways. Same happened with Metallica and Mustaine.)

We all know that Axl has a very unique voice. I was thinking it would be cool to discuss and check out some other unique vocalists. Post our own recommendations and comments. I'm gonna start with Dan Swanö:

He does metal and prog rock and as should be expected he is a very unique singer. Listen to some of those songs. He does death metal too, but he's clean vocals are amazing. One of my favourites.

Share some others. I'm looking forward to maybe finding out about some new talented vocalists. Go!
