  1. Figures the one night of the WHOLE year I happen to be in NYC overnight (Aug.31st) is the same night Axl is going to be there. UNFORTUNETLY (lol..) I have tickets to a broadway show that night so I cant go to the VMA's...I am going to be in the area all day so I am going to have to be looking hard for all the clebs who are going to be around there (not like I care about 3/4's of them). Maybe I will spot Axl and give hin a "Hey, how ya' doing?'..but I probably have a better chance of getting a winning $1000 winning scratch off ticket . If anyone can suggest any places where there might be VMA after parties that Axl may attend, I may scout it out...lol....

  2. Paris Hilton was there?

I also heard of Jimmy Fallon and Artie Lange there......I only personally saw Lenny and Fred and Mickey though and I THOUGHT I saw Constanine Marguilaias (dont know the spelling...American Idol kid) on the floor...but wasnt sure....

Pretty sure there was quite a few "celebrities" there.....more then we realize.....lol

  3. Hey peeps...I am just waking up after my 5 hr drive to the city....hanging in the city for 4 hrs...inside the Hammerstein for 5 hrs and my 5 hr drive nack home....lol....

NOt much I can add to reviews that hasn't been said,,, I will give a little more info here...

All in all it was like my 18th Guns show since 1987 and this one (Sunday Night) is in my top 5. Crowd was fantastic (I was on the FLOOR and could feel it bouncing MANY TIMES from the audience jumping...very surreal feeling...lol) Axl had an excellant night vocally overall..there were a few times he strained...but i have never seen ANYBODY do perfect for 2 hrs straight...lol. Crowd age was all over the place...I saw 10 year old kids with thier parents and I saw other people in thier 50's....was a very friendly crowd.

There are 2 new shirts that were being sold there as well as older style shirts. There was also a Robin Finck shirt being sold......prices were decent for a show. T-Shirt were about $30 each...there was a GnR Hoodie for $85 ...and I think hats were like $20. I got a Rum and Coke at the show....that was $8...they had pretzels and what not there...i just didnt notice prices...sorrry.

Opening band was........ok.......didnt know them,.....but I won't be getting thier album anytime soon

Be sure to bring earplugs if you want to actually hear the show and Axl talk.....lack of plugs will just cause you to just hear lots of noise and a giant hum when all band members are playing at once.

Last night there was a chronic "hiss" in the speakers.....I figured the sound guys would fix it...but it was never attended to......I learned to deal with it and enjoyed the show.

I didnt quite get what was going on between Stinson and Axl....at the end of November RAin Stinson "marched" across the stage like a "good soldier" it seemed to me! Axl later said something of allong the lines when he was talking about the day before him and Tommy having a discusiion that went ""Fuck you", "fuck you", "no fuck you" "fuck you"..but then they continued thier day..Tommy was a ham during hte entire show....making various faces singing along with the lyrics and making faces at the crowdand just having a grea time...

Bumblefoot I knew nothing about,,,,,,he rocks....

MAybe I will put more in later...but gotta go eat......

    GREAT FUCKIN' SJOW !!!!

  4. yeah. gotta love pixels the size of a large island. and soundquality that's almost an insult to the music that's actually in the noise somewhere. :P

haha.. I really want to see this in quality.

    Don't we all

That little bit makes me just that much more excited to see them tomorrow.......I am sure better vid will syrface as the day progresses......lol

  5. I personally could care less who opens for GnR,,..just as long as GnR plays. I have sat through many many bands I didnt know and it is no big deal. Thier set may be a whole 45 minutes?? No biggie!! Plus if this band does get booed...that is one more reason for Axl to get pissed off....lol....

  6. I am soooooo confused...I am HOPEFULLY going to get my tickets tomorrow AM...BUT i am reading here that people allready have thier tickets??? even though there is a pre-sale at 9AM tomorrow???....and there are 4 dates in NYC...not 2 ????....please someone explain to me how people got tickets allready and if these shows are allready sold out!!! Is it to late for me to get in on a pre-sale and where do I go for it??......i am at work TRYING to read as much of the posts as possible ...BUT... .i am having a minor heart attack here...i have NO idea what is going on.....lol...

  7. In response to the original post....No, i have not thrown my hands up in disgust yet. I will wait patiently. Glad you are listenng to Metallica. I am listening to Joss Stone a the moment....but that doesnt mean i wont listen to GnR again within the next 24 hrs.....lol.....stay warm and have a booo-YAHHHH day !!!! rock1

  8. I should do it...I have a SONY Digital camera and I can edit it through WINDOWS Movie Maker 2 ......I work cheap....I also like Chinese Food.... so there is no other real candidate other then myself.... rock1
