I feel that I what I have set out to do has been accomplished. How it got done doen't matter to me. 9 years ago when I first started taking part in this chat board. I came here to help people with questions with Reckless Road and found it crazy to see that the fans were fighting and taking sides between Axl and Slash. I started defending mostly Axl because, he was the one taking most of the hits from the fans. I explained over and over again that it was no ones fault for what went down in 1995/1996 in the breakup and tried my best to keep the peace here. No one has worked harder then me to help try to convince everyone including the band members that there was a lot of miscommunication between some of the band members and that they just needed a few years apart. I feel that I won, there has been a lot less fighting here and the band is back together and booking gigs and look to be having fun on stage. They sound great and what else is there for me to do? Im happy that has all happened. I helped people learn about the history of the band with their questions and put together a great scrapbook with great insight about the birth of the band for everyone to enjoy and I think there really is nothing more that I can do.

I didnt go but my Son did and he said it was great and Axl sounded great and the vibe on stage was great. In the end thats all I care about. I could have gone, 2 different people offered me a ticket but, I have not made peace with Axl yet so until I do, im not going to go where I might not be wanted. I dont want to cause any drama by being there. Its sad that it has come to this after all the good history and this gig was such a milestone in the GNR world. Maybe by the time they come back to San Diego things could be different? There are a lot of things that Axl and I have to discuss that took place in the last 9 years that have to be cleared up first before things can be good again. There are some apologies that I need to tell him for some of the things that have gone wrong. Its very frustrating and complicated.

To pick the best gig is not going to be easy since for me most of them were so good and as the band wrote more songs songs, the gigs just kept getting better and better because of the fact there were more of their own songs to play, but I will go with the Street Scene 9/28/85 because it was the gig that the band showed that they can be a stadium band. The way they looked and moved around and fought to hold on when the crowd was spiting at them. It was Slash's first gig using a Les Paul and he looked and sounded so good with it. The amount of people that were there, it was like 2,000 plus. Before that gig the most people that the band played infrount of was around 300 people. I shot 4 rolls film of 36 photos each in a 6 song 30 min set because no matter where I pointed the camera, there was someing cool to shoot. It was such a rush.

All I know is that 9 years ago (which is the last time I talked to him) Izzy was very much into getting the AFD lineup back together. It sounds to me that the partnership that owns the old GNR which is Axl, Slash, and Duff and now that they are booking gigs again, It may be that they did this without talking to Izzy because Izzy is not part of that partnership since he left thet back in 1991. I would think that the guys would love to have Izzy involved in whats going on right now but maybe they have not talked about it yet and it sounds to me like Izzy is a bit upset that they have put this together without him. Maybe the guys think that Izzy will come up and do some songs with the band but it seams to me that Izzy wants back in the partnership now that the other 3 are working together again. Sure the shows are going to sellout with or without Izzy just like they did in 1992 but I think the difference is now that Izzy wants to be very much involved now. I think they will workout something with Izzy and probably Steven too in addition to what ever other musicians are also in the band. These are just my thoughts no one has told me anything.

No, but not that this has anything to do with your question, his grandfather used to be a barker at Canter's. I don't know if that info is out there.

They were only together for a few months and i'm not sure if it was in late 1986 or spring 1987. I also don't remember if she was Erin's friend to begin with or if her and Erin became friends after she was with Slash.

I didn't go my real job is working at canters. I only documented them in Los Angeles

I bet they sold a few copies at the Marquee shows.... And in LA
The reason they booked theses Marquee gigs was because the EP was doing well in the UK.

Steven can handle any of the AFD songs well as long has he stays sober. I have seen him play in the last year and he is fine.

I dont think so but I didnt spent a lot of time hanging aroung the studio for UYI.

There is no reason why they couldn't make new music again. We already know that they have great chemistry when they work together.

I will always work with the band or members of the band when they want to use my stuff. They know what I have and when they need it they know where to go to.

The technology to incorporate video didn't really exist back when we did the book and we didn't consume video back then like we do now. The show is a more robust look at the archives. Again happy to answer these questions and more on a Q&A here.
