You're making the mistake of assuming "heavier, faster and more melodic" equates to "better songs". To be honest, it just sounds like a classic case of music snobbery... someone who think they're better than everyone else because the music they listen to is technically better than the majority of what others listen to.

The truth is, being technical counts for sweet fuck all in my books. I regard music that moves me, something that I (and others) can connect with as good music. Whether that's Dylan strumming over a 3 chord acoustic number, or Alexi Laiho shredding the fuck out of some CoB track depends entirely on the person.

Honestly, my favourite band is AC/DC and they have little that's "technically" brilliant about them. I could seriously care less about that - they're the band that makes me happiest while I listen to them, so i'll continue to enjoy my basic 3 chord rock n' roll track without worrying how many bpm Angus can play the TNT solo at, or how melodic Bon's vocals are. If listening to black metal makes you happy, then go listen to it and stop telling people how much better you are for it.

if there so "talentedless" why have they sold 150 million+ have millions of fans. There music on a shitload of tvs and movies. Been the same band for 37 years for the most part. There was like a 3 or 4 year period with out joe perry and the other guy. They/ve made a shitload of albums.

So they're good because many people like them?

First of all this thread is just a way for you to get attention cos first you're saying "prove me wrong" and then it's "I've already heard everything they suck I won't change my mind bla bla bla". If you don't like Aerosmith that's fine, you can think they suck or whatever, but why start a thread just to say it? Personally I like Aerosmith, they're not the greatest band ever, and they do have some shitty lyrics and there's bands out there that are a lot more technically proficient, but I don't really care cos I like them. I've barely listened to the bands you've listed but I doubt I'd like 'em cos it's not my style, but if you like 'em that's fine by me, everyone's got different tastes in music which is good, since everything would sound the same if everyone liked the same music.
