I don't understand.  I have tried so many times.  Were pit tickets in Philly gone within 5 seconds or something?  I don't think I've been this angry in a very long time.  I bought the Nightrain for this presale, and it hasn't helped.  Now they're unable to process my request.  I am so fucking irritated.  Should I keep trying throughout the week in case they trickle them out, or is it a lost cause?  I could just get one of the F level seats and rush the pit and try to jump over whatever barricading device they have

I feel the same fucking way man.  Its too damn frustrating.

  2. New Guns N’ Roses hits the airwaves via the Internet

New Guns N’ Roses demo’s from the upcoming CD “Chinese Democracy,” leaked onto the internet Wednesday night just as my last column went to print.

On Feb. 15 someone on Mygnr.com posted demos of the song “I.R.S.”, and a one-minute clip of the song “Better.” Within hours, these files were posted for download on every Guns N’ Roses message board and fan site on the Internet.

By the next morning “I.R.S.” was being played on Howard Stern’s satellite radio show. Nation wide, rock radio followed his lead; I have a list of about 30 radio stations that have played the tracks, according to www.heretodaygonetohell.com.

I listened to a streaming web cast on Friday afternoon from radio station WAAF in Boston. They had decided to play “I.R.S.” at the top of every hour. Boston radio DJ Mistress Carrie, stated that she had no idea when the record was coming out and that the recordings were in fact acquired from the Internet leak. She then went into this rant, “Axl said we would hear new music this year, and then poof, like a genie with a magic lamp...I know you’re sitting in your mansion Axl, beating a Victoria’s Secret supermod   el, laughing, thinking ha, ha, they have played right into my hand.”

Guns N’ Roses management have supposedly denied responsibility for the leaks and asked all GN’R related websites to take them down. Most sites seemed to comply with this, but at the same time these unofficial new songs were being broadcast on radio nationwide.

Later on Friday Feb. 17, two more song files magically appeared. Another new song was leaked, “There was a Time,” and a longer but still incomplete file of the song “Better.”

The rumors just keep coming. Were these demos’ posted illegally by friends or fans lucky enough to acquire a copy?  Or is it some kind of modern day marketing campaign being carried out by Guns N’ Roses and their management?

I have read rumors that management has told radio to play the new songs as much as possible. I have also read of a supposed ‘Cease and desist’ order telling radio stations to stop playing the songs. I don’t know if either is true, but after five days, radio is still playing the songs. This makes me highly doubt the ‘Cease and desist’ order.

Only one thing is known, with the amount of bandwidth on the net and radio play these first couple songs are receiving, this may be the biggest rock ‘n’ roll story in years.

In other GN’R news, the rumors of the reunion show at England’s Downloads Festival are heating up. The website GunsNRoses.us has reported that the three headliners for the festival will be Metallica, AC/DC, and G   uns N’ Roses.

A post on VelvetRope.com claimed to know from inside information that the “original” Guns N’ Roses have, in fact, started rehearsing. The term “original” seems to be used pretty loosely. The informant could only confirm that Axl Rose and Slash have started rehearsing. No one knows whether Duff, Izzy Stradlin or Steven Adler are involved at this point.

As the world sits and waits for the official word on the situation from management or the band, one thing seems to clear: if they want it, 2006 will be the year of Guns N’ Roses.

    so, what do you think?
