My friend and I are still going. We'll be arriving on May 27th and leaving on June 2nd. Maybe we can swap emails or something.

the Foo Fighters might be fun to see, the others on the bill aren't that great. I wonder if we'd be able to sell the tickets at the show?

My friend and I have already paid for everything, so we'll be there. If they don't get a good headliner, I'll probably sell my tickets.

This is one of the worst days in my life. I have everything! Promition to take free from school, tickets for a plane, hotell, and tickets for the concert. And now the big thing that I was looking forward to, and that ment so much to me, is gone..

What about you? Do you still got patience? Who to blame?

I just can't think clear.. I'm angry and upset, mostly on Axl, but this big fan as I am, I think that it will pass. This sounds quite stupid, but this concert really ment a lot to me, and gave me much hope.

I feel your pain! My friend and I already bought plane tickets ($700 each), hotel booked ($475 each), and tickets to the concert (bought in euros, so I'm not even sure how much they cost). So, we are out a lot of money, time off from work (not easy because it's our busy season), and there is so much disappointment that I can hardly stand it.

We are still going to Lisboa, but we are deeply disappointed. This would have been my first time to see GNR live. I was so happy, I was even designing my very own GNR t-shirt for the show!

I wrote two letters to Axl in c/o Geffen and Sanctuary, which I know will end up in the bin, but I felt like I HAD TO DO SOMETHING....

The situation is sooooo, soooo sad, I am angry at Axl, angry at the situation, and disappointed beyond belief!

Yeah, we are really in the same situation. I'm also still goin' to Lisbon, for a holiday. I really hope that it will be some good band as replacement for GN'R!

Ok, this may do absolutely nothing...but it's made me feel a little better...

I've mailed letters to Axl c/o Geffen and Sanctuary, and to Buckethead letting them know that there are a whole lot of us out here in the U.S. and world-wide, who have already purchased tickets, airfare, and booked hotels in Lisboa, for the exact purpose of going to see GNR live.

The letters will probably end up in the bin, but at least I've tried. Maybe I'll send copies of the letters everyday until the day I leave for Lisboa!

This situation sucks! I've tried to stay positive throughout the rumors, and now I'm so disappointed.

Don't bother buying tickets, the show has been cancelled by Axl, according to an posting on the Discussion and News section of this forum. I've already bought tickets, airplane tickets, and booked a hotel. This is such a bummer, I could just cry!

Yeah, too bad for me and my friend who've already have tickets to the show, airline tickets, and hotel (I booked the hotel yesterday). I guess we'll just have to focus on Evanescence and the other bands. We'll have a nice vacation, anyway, but this is all too sad

If anyone on this forum is located in Lisboa, Portugal, can you please recommend a mid-priced hotel? We are going to the festival to see GNR and really need some help locating a hotel. I've gone online, but most are expensive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
