I wouldn't dare on this new laptop, it's too precious Buuttt, for some reason every singly bloody time I download a game - any game - it just decides to bugger up everything, most commonly the internet (of all things huh) doesn't work. programs stop responding and the whole thing just crashes.

Baring in mind I ONLY dwnld from Warez, Which I believe to be a very safe bet.

Get a rapidshare account. Trust me you wont have any problems downloading games.

For once, I agree with you. People bitch and whine about waiting 90 seconds and then a few hours to redownload something. Rapidshare premium is the way to go. Not that I condone illegal downloads - but its used for so much more.

Another good one is frostwire it's basically limewire minus the spyware.

I'd scan your PC, just in case there's anything on there still. As Max™ suggested, you can use the ESET NOD32 trial. Or you can use AVG Free for a free virus scanner.

Don't forget sygate. I think everyone should run that.

Knew it would work.

What you want to do now is download sygate and avg so this doesn't happen again. Sygate will track everything that tries to enter and exit your computer and ask you if you want it to enter or exit your computer. Then have avg do a scan to find if there is anything hiding. And then you'll be all set.

I think I'll have to do the system restore because I can't browse the web at all with it.

All your problems should be solved.

The first thing many viruses do is bury themselves in the System Restore data folders. Normally when cleaning the virus out of the system you would remove all available restore points to be rid of it from there.

That methods worked for me.
