  1. The 60s and 70s definitely, you had The Beatles, The Stones, The Doors, The Who, Zeppelin, Floyd, Queen, Sabbath, Cream, Hendrix and loads more. That's not to say that there hasn't been good music since, that would be an utterly ridiculous statement, but I think most of today's music does struggle to live up to the high standards set by the bands of those two decades.

  2. Agreed, Paul sounds pretty much exactly as he used to, and in my opinion he does both the old and new Queen material justice live, from what I've heard.

Getting really, really excited for the show I'm seeing now. :)

  3. No.

    Please God, no.

And that's not just because it's the guy from Alter Bridge, from that video I think he has an awesome voice, I just don't want ANYBODY doing vocals on a Led Zep tour other than Plant.

  4. Damn, they dropped One Vision as opener? That's a shame, I saw it on a setlist for one of the shows they played recently and assumed it'd be there for the whole tour. :(

Band set for huge homecoming show

Oasis will play a homecoming "super-gig" in Manchester next summer.

Noel Gallagher told BBC News that his band had planned the show, but wouldn't reveal which location it would take place at.

"We've got a super-gig planned next summer," he revealed. "Don't ask me any more questions because I can't tell you what it is."

Oasis have played a variety of Manchester venues through the years, including a gig at the Gallaghers' beloved Manchester City's old Maine Road stadium in 1996, as well as the team's new home, The City Of Manchester Stadium, in 2005.

However, Gallagher hinted that the band were set to play the show at an unusual location.

"If I gave you 500 guesses you'd never guess where it would be," he said.

Oasis kicked off their UK tour in Liverpool on Tuesday night (October 6).

  6. Death Magnetic by far. People can laugh at The Unforgiven III all they want, but at least it wasn't a remake of a song. That being said, I love Megadeth, but even The System Has Failed dominates UA.

People are laughing at The Unforgiven III? How?! That track fucking rocks!

    Death Magnetic by the way.

    How can I be lost,

If I've got nowhere to go?

    Search for seas of gold

How come it's got so cold?

    I'm guessing that's why...

Still, it is a great song.
