    MSL discusses Guns n Roses

    Without reading this entire mess, I'm going to go out on a limb and make a couple guesses at what has been said.

    MSL is trying to drum up publicity for his website, and continues to be a spokesperson for Team Brazil. If anybody has questioned him or his motives, he has twisted around their posts to imply they are haters and they are unhappy in their real lives off of the forum.

    Coma, Andre and one other guy, I can't remember his name off the top of my head, are really going overboard praising and defending MSL.

    On the MSL board, many posters are talking about how bad mygnrforum is and are keeping track of everything that is being posted and then insulting this forum's posters.

    Brainsaber is letting us know he takes a lot of delight and joy that Slash fans are irate, butt-hurt and angry about this topic. Slash fans will be discussing the matter civilly, the only people showing great emotion will be guys like Brainsaber. Who will be taking all this information very, very srsly. And saying things about people spending time on a forum of a band they don't like, ooops. Followed by saying how he laughs out loud at how angry Slash fans are.

    Volcano and Wf*ckina (who both are actually pretty nice guys) will have several posts calling Slash and Duff junkies and loser drug addicts. Brainsaber will join those two in saying how stupid and dumb Slash and Duff are.

    Ali will be defending Axl's every move.

    Rita, dangerous curves and a couple others will be bashing any user who says anything negative about Axl or what he did. All in the hopes that Axl will send them a PM.

    I bet I'm pretty close with my predictions.

    As for the actual issue here?

    I really don't care. And am confused as to why so many people on this forum are more worked up about it than the actual members of the band. Weird.

    Axl is a prick, is hard to work for, and pulled a prick move with the contract.

    Slash and Duff were stupid to give up the name so easily. Was it because they were strung out? Or because they were tired of dealing with Axl's bullsh*t, so they said "f*ck it"? Probably a combination of both.

    It was how many years ago? Why are "fans" now arguing and fighting about it?

    Who cares. None of us were there, none of us know the real story.

    Everybody actually involved has moved on. Shouldn't the fans as well?

    to put it in a nutshell, as ever the gnr fanbase is infested by pricks !!

    It's simple kiddie:

    Axl: The dude everyone saw in all the old videos. It'll be cool to see him no matter what. Mickey Mouse voice or not. Dude kinda worked his way into 'must-see' status. Hence selling some tickets for shows now-adays.

    Bumble: Better than bar gigs around NYC. End of story.

    Ashba: Gets to look cool as a sillouhette (forgive my spelling... you do it without looking it up on Google) as some weird Marylin Manson/Slash/I'm piereced everywhere, tattood everywhere... get kicked out of hotels because I think I'm that that important to not-have-to-walk outside to smoke my cig catroon guitar dude. Who happens to have a nice piece of ass on his side... who probably brings along some fine pieces of ass too to hang out with middle-aged Axl and Izzy, when the dude decides to surface. I mean, WTF is wrong with that guy? Millions approaching a billion or more would be waiting for Izzy and the rest of the 'Appetite' lineup for their families if they would have kept it together... seriously... dozens of generations worth of their family trees woiuld have been taken care of... but fuck all of those people.s

    Dizzy: Axl's too lazy to play his own parts. Except where he wants the spotlight for NR. Keep drinking Jayger (spelling again). You're cool to an exent. The classic example of not going anywhere w/o Axl and left otherwise to play two-bit barts with 5 patrons. Wait, you do that anyway.

    Frank: See Dizzy above. Best drummer for GNR? Adler. He sucks at just about everything, including life, and drumming, but was the GNR sound. Matt Sourum is too full of himself, but fit the GNR image when he got lucky enough to be put on the map with GNR.

    Tommy: Replacement must feel good. It certainly does in GNR. Just ask the replacement in the, well, Replacements about that. How's that working out for him?

    Richard: Smartest man in the band... great paycheck... can kill any cover thrown at him. Would love to hear what he migh thave to offer in the studio. But he's happy to collect a paycheck none-the-less.

    Pittman: Still tryting to figure out what the fuck he does other than the keys on Pardise City in the beginning. Possibly the smartest mother-fucker in the world. All he's really needed to have known is those notes for PC. GENIOUS. You've contributing nothing to GNR that a karoke machine could not have done, but has toured the world, fucked countless chicks (I'm sure- even for one ugly mother-f'f), jerked off Fernando every now and then, and appear to be doing something on the second set of keys during a GNR concert. You, my friend, are the luckiest basterd in the world.

    Then there's the beggers-and-hangers-on like Del James just crusing along with the wave.

    Hay Axl! Would any of thse dudes would have made it (millions) without you? Doubt it.

    You suck and your band sucks. No amont of lights at a rock show ill make up for that.

    Find your voice at least.

    When actually Vegas is a success.

    How is this a success - none of the shows are sold out and Axl's voice sounds like shit.

    I understand "there's no such thing as bad publicity", but if Axl is able to land a major TV performance for the band off his rediscovered fame, he's going to embarrass himself.

    First time I've posted in a year or more. Doesn't matter though. Axl is on a cash grab. Has anyone heard Steven Tyler lately? Dude's in his 60's and is KILLING HIS SOUND. Axl is making a parody of himself. It's PATHETIC. Sad. Mickey-mouse. Whatever.

    Axl, here's some advice, tone down and use the rasp. You sound like a clown. The only people telling you it's cool to use the 'Mickey' voice are your South American 'family' members, that are only in the whole god damn thing for the money, because without you, they'd still be trying to find their way over the fence for some wellfare money here in the states.

    Wow, there are still like 3-4 people who just cant let it go. I will be waiting in my seat three days from now, and there is no set list that can be bad. Axl will NOT hit every note, or even 75% of them. But that's fine, cause I know the vibe and energy that is coming, and a few guys trying to conflate a concert experience to a band from 20 years ago are serious in need of a new topic to bitch about.

    I'm betting we're gonna have a lot of talk about the tour and the current Vegas Residency and maybe a question about future plans with a vague "We're gonna tour Asia after the Vegas shows" and "we'll see what happens from there," but I doubt anything ground breaking comes from this.

    My desire is for Axl to say they're going to tour for a bit then work on finishing touches for the next album.

    so none of the MSL CD2 talk will be talked about by axl rose on kimmel tonight?

    Kickstarter, while a novel idea, would only receive a negative backlash along the lines that Axl can't get a record deal.

    according to MSL it's not about a record deal. it's not about money. axl is 1% wealthy. like Romney and friends. like Hollywood and Sports Superstars. it's not about that. because cd2 has been done a while. the songs have been written and recorded. cd2 is ready to go. it's been ready. but it's right now sitting on the shelf. collecting dust. why? like the beach boys say "god only knows" and god only knows why an album pre-recorded pre-2012 guns n roses lineup isn't out to purchase before upcoming vegas residency tour.

    maybe we will figure it out after the kimmel show...

    Whenever a show doesn't go well, everyone acts like the sky is falling. Calm down. Whether he was rusty, or not warmed up, or ill prepared, or sick, or having a bad day, or tired, or whatever the case may be, it's one show.

    The drama queens here are unbelievable.

    Can't agree with you on this...

    Axl and the band are professionals. they have to be as constant as possible in every show for the fans even the first date of the tour.

    As a fan, what would you think if you could only go to a single venue, completely or partially failed because of lack of practice, while other venues of the tour are much better performance. Frustrating...

    Every fans deserve an average quality on the performance.

    Sometimes I feel like I'm beating a dead horse.

    I was watching and pulling for them, but I'd be deliriously deluded to think anything other than it's not quite right. At least they all (Axl included) kept in good spirits and gave it.

    What Axl does is tough, vocally. And the glare is brighter acoustically. Even if it doesn't always come off, I'd prefer he put it out there and went for it which he did for most of the set.

    While I love Eddie Vedder, and he was great tonight (both in standing in and in performance) and deserved all the plaudits, it's a totally different style and a lot more contained and comfortable in range. But yeah Axl does seem to have problems with his throat and consistently pulling off pitch. He's not the singer he was, which I'm sure he's well aware of. He can still have moments of brilliance live, and can pull off studio recording. As far as I'm concerned I'd much rather that than nothing.

    Glad I watch it and I enjoyed most of the set. The band looks good and they'll be snippets they can use for promotion (i.e. on JKL).

    one thing that would get me excited again is the release of an unreleased chinese democracy 2 track as a fresh single for purchase and download on itunes before vegas residency and jimmy kimmel

    yeah i am not finck6 aka queenie, but I love the way he posts and cupcake you with Mr robin Finck

    Maybe the animation was going to take too long and be too costly. The post-production studio that did the video was in its infancy - had he gone to them now, they'd prob. want way more money. He prob. could've had some Art Institute kids do it for the credit though and have it done in 2 months.

    Axl should've ask the great film maker andy phillips to work on better video instead of kicking him out of stage !!

    and maybe that's why Axl didn't release it in the form it got leaked?

    Was it supposed to be a video with a scenario etc like the old vids? Anyone can guess what the reason it was not ever released was?

    Does Axl have official or unofficial but stated plans for a new video?

    Better video was supposed to be the best movie on rock industry ! An axl's brilliant concept with robin finck showcased as the star attraction of the video !

    this and many more is what's so fuckin' AWESOME about the better music video !

    SHOW RESPECT TO BETTER VIDEO !
