  1. Five tracks into Day & Age on my first listen...and I'm very disappointed. They've always had some filler mixed in with the great on their albums but so far there isn't anything that's close to the best on Hot Stuff or Sam's Town. And I still don't like Human... :(

Don't worry, it all grows on you. I promise.

Not after one listen at least :( I'm gonna give it a couple of more listens before I decide but so far this is easily the weakest Killers album and not anywhere near Sam's Town. And Flowers' isn't close to what he did before...

Definitely a big grower. First time I listened I was demoralized that this was the follow up to Sam's Town, after a few listens though I absolutely love it.

  2. Really after 4 albums now the killers have enough material that you can really make a bad mix cd of them. Either one of your lists would likely turn a newbie into a killers fan if they have tastes.

  3. Awesome band, deserves all the fame they get and much more. There isn't a single bad track in either of their albums.

It's amazing that this band gets so much hate on a GNR forum, makes you wonder what some people see in GNR.

The fact you put Hinder and GNR on the same level makes me wonder what you see in GNR.

Yea they both sing about similar shit and are both gritty and loud, but there is a whole lot more art buried in GNR then there is in fuckin Hinder and its an insult to suggest otherwise.

  4. Radiohead has yet to made a decent album, let alone something, that you could call "favorite".

    What an awful band.

Says the guy who made a thread about Nickelback's last album

Stop being an elitist who only listens to what is kool :rofl-lol:

Alright man, I'll go and listen to shitty music for a change rock2

Good, we need more rebels like you. rock3

Anyways enough making fun of no taste clowns. OK computer for me, but honestly I dont think there is a bad radiohead album, all of them are pretty great.

  6. pfft bias. some of you act like stuck up "elites" who only listen to whats kool .Get a grip , if nickelback sucked as much as u state they wouldnt sell all those albums ans single's in a dage and age where downloading is the cheaper easier option.

and Ac/Dc are much more boring than nickelback , atleast nickelback change there style a little around every album.

Ummm Nickelback is considered "cool" dumbass, thats why sheep like you buy it up. And ooo they sell a lot, so do miley cyrus and britney spears. I suppose they must be totally awesome too right? :rofl-lol:

  7. mmm,I just love this album. After All The Right Reasons, which is a candidate for the best rock album on this decade, Nickelback come back with producer Mutt Lange for this album and the sound is a lot more glammier (with a little bit of Shania Twain's pop country on the ballads).Favorite songs:Something In Your Mouth,Gotta Be Somebody,This Afternoon and Next Go Round

And thank you ,Nickelback,Hinder and Buckcherry for bringing back glam metal or "cock rock :D " to the top of the charts.

So thank Nickelback for bringing all the bland, uninspired crap that gave the '80s a bad name? Gotta Be Somebody sounds like an 11 year old wrote it.

I honestly give the 80s guys more credit. Even if it was bland and corny at times, at least they came up with it themselves and werent rehashing something that died out 20 years ago.

  8. ironic how poeple like an aerosmith song like love in an elevator but claim to hate a song like something in your mouth when essentially its all about the same topic , sex.

on a side note this album is really good and i enjoyed the lead guitar showcasing in a couple of the song's , its a good album.

What a weak argument, its about the same topic therefore its ironic people dont like both? Here's a newsflash, a lot of rock songs are about that topic and it doesnt mean shit in terms of liking them all.

  9. I was really disheartened after listening to the samples, but now that I have the full songs I really love the melodies they have put together on this one. Completely different animal from Sam's Town, but a great animal nonetheless.

  10. Tough choice, I think I have to go with Def Leppard though because they had a bit longer run in terms of good albums. I give Leppard a solid 4 album run compared to only a 3 album run by Bon Jovi. Plus Bon Jovi loses majors points for that country joke they did recently.
