I don't even really care if there's a reunion or not. I mean yes I would absolutely love it if there was one and they got back together because they wanted to (not because of the money). I just want Axl to finally grow up and quit acting like an ass. I just think it's foolish on his part to tell people to move on and there's not going to be a reunion yet he's still dragging out this current lineup pretending to be Guns N' Roses. Who's not moving on here?

I´m really and deeply disgusted by some of the comments I´ve read in here. Some people need to get a life. I can´t understand why so much hate and anger towards Axl and I can´t understand why they take all this stuff so personal either. It was pretty obvious that this was going to be a no win situation, it´s always been like this with Axl since the so called "fans" are NEVER happy, no matter he does things right or wrong there are always the bitter ones who are ready to start the bashing fest in a heart beat.

Whether you agree or not with his decision of not attending and not being inducted, why can´t you fucking respect it? It´s his decision not yours and if he wants it all this way, so be it.

I don't respect it because it's not a respectable decision. You don't want to show up? Fine. But releasing this letter and playing victim yet again, is just low. It makes him look ridiculous, and it's truly painful to see him that way.

People supporting this are being very foolish and blind IMO.

Better blind than being a cry baby and hoping for something that'll never happen. Not at this lifetime....

If Axl wants nothing to do with the classic line-up he better stop using the classic songs.

Why should he stop using his own songs? Leave them to whom? The likes of Fergie?

Oh no, he had absolutely nothing to do with writing them. They were written entirely by the others and infact Axl was simply lip-syncing Milli Vanilli style.

Actually most of the classics were mostly written by Slash and Izzy.

I have seen several friends on facebook post about this today. None of them had Axl's back lol. There are alot of people replying to the posts too.. None of them are speakling very highly of Axl.

I think it's hilarious that people on here who are supporting Axl think this is some kind of rebel move and he's so cool for doing it. Yeah, for being 50 years old and being immature and can't act like a man and be on stage with the guys who helped make him famous. They act like Axl is just some misunderstood talented musician. Face it, the guy is 50 years old and goes on tour with a Guns N' Roses cover band, he still won't go on stage at a normal time. I mean really who the hell thinks it's a good idea to go on stage on a week night at 11 PM or midnight while the fans who did go and buy a ticket most likely have work the next morning? It's not "cool". People see he's an asshole. It's not listening to "corporate" radio. It's not that people don't have minds of their own. They're just sick of Axl being a douche.

Yeah honestly, no one really cares about the new lineup except for the hardcore Axl supporters. I'm not saying the new lineup isn't talented. Axl has always surrounded himself with great talent. I loved Buckethead and Robin Fink. But really even then no one gave a shit about those guys being in Guns N' Roses. Everyone wants to see Axl and Slash and Izzy and the original lineup back together.

It isnt just the press. It is nuts how many people have posts with many reply's about Axl on facebook right now.. The guy is a complete clown.

And the answer to your question. If he kept releasing shitty albums like CD under the GnR name, then yes the press and everyone else would continue to rip him.

I actually think CD is a pretty great album, and I'd be happy with 4 albums of that quality by now. Axl's lack of output is what's doing him in at the moment, imo.

Chinese Democracy is a good album. It's just not a Guns N' Roses album.

Yeah I watch TMS and follow him on Facebook and he does kiss a lot of ass. He can't honestly truly believe this is a good move by Axl.

Axl is trending on yahoo and twitter. His letter is in the Wall Street Journal. Axl is everywhere!

He is a master at getting people to talk about him and he's equally a pro at going off-the-grid as we have all witnessed throughout the better part of 18 years.

This once again proves that he's still as big as any current celebrity even though he does things on his terms in his own time. I'm no longer disappointed that he won't perform with the old band.

Sure he's still a big star but he's seen as an asshole. So how is that a good thing? When he's filling up not even half the arenas with the fake Guns N' Roses. How is that a good thing? He's still only famous for the ORIGINAL Guns N' Roses. Not for anything he's done since then.

Axl is getting so much shit because he's been a douchebag since the beginning. Even in the original group he was always such a drama queen. He wouldn't go on stage or would walk off stage or wouldn't show up if everything wasn't perfect. He got away with it back then because the original Guns N' Roses was amazing. But now he goes on tour and puts out an album and calls it Guns N' Roses and it's not and he's still doing the same shit. Yeah, this past tour was as much as a success as he's going to get because he didn't cancel any shows. But he still didn't go on stage until 11 PM or midnight most of the time. He needs to grow up already.

I don't even care if they didn't play. All I wanted to see was the original lineup on stage to accept the induction. That's it. They didn't need to play any songs. I just wish they'd grow up already. Even David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen could put aside their differences and go on tour and release a new album. I'm not even asking for that for Guns N' Roses. Just be on stage together for 5-10 minutes and accept the induction and that's it.

If Axl is truly tired of hearing about a GNR reunion and wants to move on the drop the freaking name already. People will continue to bring it up because he still goes on tour and puts out an album with the Guns N' Roses name on it and it's NOT Guns N' Roses. I like this band that he's put together but this isn't Guns N' Roses. I have no idea why he won't just go on tour and put out albums as just Axl Rose.

I think Rose is very talented but come on people (those who are standing up for him here). Why can't you guys just admit that Axl is a total douchebag. He broke up what was one of the greatest rock bands of all time and now acts like a child and refuses to even be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because he doesn't want to appear on the same stage as Slash. All the other guys from the original GNR had moved on. Why can't Axl?

I agree. He should stop playing the original songs and choose another name if he doesn't want to discuss reunion shows anymore. People discuss it so much because he's out there with a cover band pretending to be Guns N' Roses.

I looked up ticket prices today. It's $230! WTF? Why can't Lollapalooza sell 1 day passes for like $75? The ONLY band I really want to see is Black Sabbath. Seeing the others like The Afghan Whigs and RHCP and The Black Keys would be cool but Sabbath is the only one I really want to see.

I would only pay $230 for Black Sabbath, Metallica and the original Guns N' Roses if they played a show together.

I'm tired of Axl's bullshit. Seriously, I will always love the original group. I will always love Axl as a musician and the band he's put together since then sound great. But the real Guns N' Roses haven't been together since the '90s. This "Guns N' Roses" is NOT Guns N' Roses. I really wish he didn't even own the name. It should just be the Axl Rose band.

That stinks. I would love to see them do a solo U.S. tour during the summer or even co-headlining Ozzfest if they have it next summer with Black Sabbath.

Was it a sell out though? I didn't have anyone to go with last Tuesday but I was checking that day to see if tickets were available and I was able to find 8 GA tickets on ticketmaster only a few hours before the show.

The last 3 times they've toured the U.S. has been during the fall. I would love to see them at an outdoor venue during the summer next time they tour the U.S..

I thought he looked great in 2006. Looked like he really slimmed down a lot. He looks like he's put on weight again. I didn't mind his look that much in 2002 either.

Missed the show last night. I didn't have anyone to go with same as in 2006. But at least unlike in 2006 I didn't buy tickets to this one.

Anyways, I saw them in 2002. I was reading the link/review someone posted here and the person who wrote it said it was a disaster in 2002. I actually loved it in '02. One of the best concerts I've been to. Did anyone here go to that show?

I wanted to see them in 2006 but kind of had little interest in seeing them last night. I just really don't know anyone in the band anymore. The '02 version had Buckethead who is an awesome guitarist. The '06 had Robin Finck. I really couldn't even tell you who the guitarists are right now. I mean I know their names but probably couldn't point them out in a group or anything.

Oh man I can't believe it's been 4 years. I still feel so fortunate to have seen Pantera live in 2001. Dimebag was an amazing guitarist.

I got to see them at the Allstate Arena in 2002 and it rocked... there were so many people talking crap on the way into the concert when I was there I was like why are you even here then? But I think Axl shut everyone up when he arrived on time and played nearly 2+ hours. It was so awesome. I got tickets when they came back here in 2006 but my uncle couldn't go so I missed them. I will definitely see them if they come here next year though.
