Axl in interviews of the time always said Gilby and Matt were full members. That changed like he said, but it was a back track on Axl's part... One of the more obvious ones too.

Yeah it changed when matt was listed as a touring member on live era. I'd say matt was delighted to see that.

It's funny how much us fans seem to like the ritz show in 1988 when from comments Axl and slash have made it was a poor show with sound issues.

Right was at the show last night and when guns were on stage they had from I can see the crowd who stayed in the palm of their hands.

Enjoyed talking to DJ after the show with a few others who hung around. He is such a nice guy and no ego.

Interesting pieces of info

- Axl wanted DJ in GNR since 2002 but DJ was busy and didn't work out.

-Him getting into GNR was a "if he turns up it's his" thing

- Phil Lynotts mothers gave the band a small version of the Phil Lynott statue in dublin.

Right the whole shit about gnr being an hour and a half late isn't true. Danko Jones finished at 9.15 irish time and according to MCD, Guns were meant to be onstage at 9.45, so really it wasn't as bad as people made out. Also the O2 arena have a lot to answer for. Why were bottle been sold in the building in the first place ?

Ok I was standing at the band entrance at the back of the arena and someone recorded through the grate two people arguing one of which was tommy(she said bass player) saying stuff not the same but in the same vain as what is being reported in this thread to someone by the tour buses(according to the source it was del). They videod it but you could see two people but what they were saying is Anyones guess.

Just back to the hotel from the O2, it was one of the stranger gigs I've been to but the waiting paid off and DJ came out and talked with us for a good half an hour to forty minutes after the gig. The guy is a legend of the absolute highest order and what a humble guy. We asked him what happened tonight and at reading and why it needs to be safe before any of the band will go on. He talked about "Internet forums" and all that. I'll post more tomorrow when I've had a sleep.

Well have BBC three on and watching mumford and sons(never seen this band ever before.

with RATM a couple of years back it was known months in advance they wouldn't be shown. they made it clear.

with this Axl turned up and within a short space of time the BBC change their "live stream" schedule to remove Guns.

too much of a coincidence for it to not be the bands side of things causing the problem.

Was on the ticketmaster website earlier and the first thing I saw was "extra tickets available for guns n roses at the u2." now I take that as the actual size of the stage and all that is finally known to the venue and they see they have extra space.

so are there 2 stages then?? cause they're in Belfast the night before and that'll be one hell of a job to get set up. Just checked, I dont think theres any standing spaces left

Well sure belfast and dublin is only a short trip up the motorway sure now. But ya they probably do have two sets I would imagine, just looking at the tour dates and playing dates one after the other it would make sense to have two.

Ah the 2006 thing was an incident where I asked for the friday of the 2006 show off and was given it off and then before the tickets went on sale was told I couldnt have the day off and as I didn't finish work till five, I had no way of getting from cork to dublin in time.

Jesus christ on my day off having to get up that early but add us to the list. I could almost here ticketmaster laughing taking my money. right the wrongs of 2006(ye bastards know what YE did) have been put right thank jesus. Back to bed.
