He really no longer needs to do interviews.
He puts the word out on what's going on, what he's thinking about, answers the questions from fans, and then the media outlets pick up on it and put it out. If he likes the question, he answers it, if not, he passes on it. It doesn't matter whether I agree with everything he says, but it IS great to get his opinion and point of view. The questions he answered were thoughtful.
Yeah, he spills his guts here, so there nothing more for reporters to ask and he gets off the hook, pretty smart move after decade of silence. And also some of the fans' questions are better than 99,9% of those stupid fucks could come up with anyway.

Funny that you guys are talking about people considering Axl as the perfect godlike figure, I think what he did these past few days changed my view of him. I've followed Axl's Q&A these past few days, not being able to post any questions myself but it definitely was very cool hearing from the man himself ...but I'm not sure how to take this.
After 15 years of pretty much silence, Axl was the last person I thought would do this. Bands come and go but for fan of the guy's music for some 20 yeas he's always been upthere smewhere above other musicians. I was like 12 whwn AFD came out and many of you know what that does to kid of that age (let's not even talk about LIes and UYIs). Then out of the blue he comes and answers questions like regular guy for hours like there's nothing to it. Axl a regular guy??? Fuck no!! I thought he was the god of rock n roll for heaven's sake!!
Now that he has descended here among the regular folks, how do I handle it? Do I only enjoy the music and appreciate the man's work from now on and leave fanboyism behind?

From what I've read, he has told little about why the years of delays, only something about politics and so on. Anyone read anything if those problems are solved so that we don´t have to wait another decade for next album? Not that there is hurry as I'm fine with ChiDem for a while.

Exactly, did the ownership question get solved recently and was it keeping us from having ChiDem?
