My Falcon, I use it for jazz gigs and shows that there are a lot of girls because they love the thing.

This little orange strat is my #1. Put it together from parts and it'sd the best playing guitar i've ever played. And I worked at a music store for a while with R9's and high-end stuff like that. It's beaten up a lot more and has a couple stickers on it but it's the guitar that's going to the grave with me.

I had this guitar for a few months because I got it cheap and I LOVE randy rhoads but it was worth too much money as a vintage gibson so I sold it.

I have a couple of lower-end kramers and a Gibson les paul std. but they're on their way out this week on ebay. I will have a kramer pacer coming on monday though.

  2. I agree its quite arousing, where's yours Johnezz?

    My white falcon

Yep ill just whip out a few G's to get one.

Oh wait your talking about the one im building, it's almost done, should be completely finished in 3 weeks im hoping.

i have a white falcon too, got it in november. same thing but i have teh bigsby on mine although i ddon't use it.

i gotta take good pics of my rig for you guys, i'll try to have some up this week

  3. Conny, thanks for making that little mp3 for me man. That was awesome. I'm going to go to a new huge guitar shop and test out the Marshall MG30DFX and the Roland Cube 60 (if they have it) on my guitar. If I decided on the Roland Cube 60 and say if later on in the years I bought a Gibson Les Paul it would be weird, playing a Les Paul in something that is not a Marshall, huh. Well I'll test out the amps and see.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

a marshall mg is not a "real" marshall. if you get a gibson les paul and play into an MG you will not sound like the other players who play marshalls. Go with a jcm 800, jmp, jubilee or something that is voiced like a classic marshall.

  4. get an edwards les paul from japan for $700 new. i like mine better then every gibson I've played besides a pre-historic r9 at guitar center once.

that way you'll have a real good headstart on getting a jcm 800.

although i could understand if you REALLY want a gibson. they're nice guitars and if you have your heart set on a gibson go for it.

i would personally try out a bunch of les pauls and if you can't find a magic one after visiting all the guitar stores then i'd go with a used jcm 800 on ebay because amps don't vary too much from amp to amp.

  5. don't sell hte guitar, you'll regret it, even if it means nothing to you now everyone regrets selling their first guitar. plus you wouldn't get any money for the guitar, it wouldn't be worth it. always worth it to have a backup guitar too.

i say save your money and get an agile (i live near them, the guitars are excellent values) the guitar is more then good enough to play out.

i don't know how much you plan on playing out but maybe get something extremely cheap and then think about spending a good amount of money on something great.

  6. i personally don't think think there have been any great "rock" bands since GnR. I'm not one of those guys who puts everything down but that's the way it is. I really like Green Day because because they seem more honest in the way GnR was. GD and GnR (i worked at best buy and they were right next to eachother :) ) are the 2 bands that I can't live without because they wrote songs that were true not made to really appeal to anyone. Another band which was very similar were the replacements, i liked them before I even knew about Stinson being in both bands.

I still love my Van Halen for the musicianship and party attitude, Zeppelin for just being kickass and many other bands but very few bands have actually made me understand them.

The state of music now is terrible, the garage bands are for people who drive volkswagons and use words like uber. The numetal bands like trapt are for frat boys and pop-punk/pop are for 14 year olds. I don't really hate these bands because they're making money and everyone has to have a job.

It sucks because the top 10 bands are either nostalgia act or broken up. The only band writing new music is Green Day which the new stuff is still very good but doesn't have the same feel as the original stuff. I was 2 years old when Appetite was released and I used to really like GnR videos like the original 3 and november rain. that means I never got to see GnR or even GD in the prime.

It sucks because a lot of people can go to a concert for a band they really like and even though I'm seeing Van Halen its not the same as 20 years ago.
