  1. you are absolutely right epic!!!! whats ya point mate?

im sure you would do the same if axl had jumped in on another fansite you hadnt been registered to!!?

im not being funny or nuthin, just making a valid point.

Your a fan as much as any of us wouldnt you do the same buddy? :)

Yeah you are right, we are all fans and I'm really glad Axl and Guns are given the respect they deserve and so many people are showing it but I hope this isn't just a spur of a moment kind of thing where all the fans that have now registered, disappear as soon as Axl stops coming here.

It's always good to have new blood around and this is cool that we have a lot of new members giving their own point of views about things and it would be awesome if they continue to do that in the future and not just come here because of Axl's visits. Anyway, welcome to the boards and I hope you'll enjoy enough to stick around in the future too. ;)

THANKS I PLAN ON STAYING...HAD I KNOWN THERE WAS SOMETHING LIKE THIS BEFORE I WOULD,VE BEEN HERE...JUST RECENTLY I HAVE FOR SOME REASON DEVELOPED AN INTERNET ADDICTION.I FIND IT MUCH MORE INTERACTIVE THAN TV OR ...WELL...THAN TV.I NEVER WATCHED TV MUCH ANYWAY SO I,M NOT SURE WHERE I AM GOING WITH THIS.IT IS SOMETHING TO DO THOUGH WHEN I AM SUPPOSED TO BE SLEEPING BUT I'M NOT.IT ALSO HAS BEEN KEEPING ME OFF OF EBAY AND SPENDING MONEY.I'M GOOD AT THAT.ENOUGH BOUT ME...AXL IS AN ANGEL AND I,VE KNOWN IT SINCE THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THE FIRST SONG.ONE OF A KIND, HE HAS ALWAYS INSPIRED ME TO BE ME.

The Devil's one of a kind too, isn't he? "A man of wealth and taste"...and generally more interesting than an angel. Don't we need both to keep from getting bored?

  2. I am still not at all convinced this is Axl Rose writing these pieces.

I am simply amazed that Axl Rose is fully literate with internet slang (such as 'j/k'), and uses emoticons!! Next thing he will have a sig eh??

More interestingly, I am suprised somebody of his intelligence finds it difficult to write coherent sentences with the use of grammar.

If it is him, I do feel genuine sorry for the guy. What was once without shadow of a doubt my 'dont give a fuck' idol, is now nothing more than a hermit with an extremely big grudge against anybody that wouldnt follow his totalitarian quest for finding himself within music. What makes music any different from other situations? A brands popularity is based on its product. You cant change the ingredients of that brand, and still expect to produce the same product.

Imagine if GNR decided to tour, and put on two shows per venue. One show was dedicated to old GNR material, and one to new. Which would be more popular?

Chinese Democracy is a good album, but my no means the pinnacle of what GNR stands for in most peoples eyes. Its nice to see a lot of people have embraced it as their pinnacle of GNR music, however it is truly a tiny fraction of people compared to the impact of the old Guns movement.

It is honourable to try to continue something special, but sometimes there comes a point where you have to call time. It parrallel's to me GNR being a heavyweight boxer, trying desperately to reclaim his title. And then getting knocked out in the first round by a modern fighter with a different style. Sometimes things should be just left where they are, and not have the name tarnished by squeezing out every last penny.

Move down a weight, change the name, by all means yes. It hurts most people that the brand is being associated with a product that the majority simply dont relate to.

But thats modern economics and human nature I guess. Desperate times invoke desperate measures.

Right... it is hard to understand Axl is 'internet literate' and whatever you mean by grammar thing, Shakespeare... so I fully understand why you don't understand a thing he says... but it is better not to comment on those things you don't understand because it makes you look stupid...

Why can't rock singers be "Internet literate"? My grandmother is. Does being handy with a mike stand mean you can't be reasonably conversant with a keyboard? And all you need to do is read two nights' worth of blogs -- anyone's blogs -- to learn the style, if you want. Shakespeare's grammar is a bit passe, though...

  3. There are some things that have to be considered in all this stuff. Sometimes, the internet make people tell things they wouldn't say face to face. Internet make us powerful. I'd like to say my opinion about all this in topics, and I hope all the other fans can agree with me. So, this is going directly to Axl:

    1. We weren't in the studio's, shows, backstages or at the home of the Gunners in the past 80's and 90's. So, we don't know what really happened with you, guys. Unfortunatelly, you (Axl, Izzy, Slash, Duff, Steven and even Matt and Dizzy) need to understand that the Guns N' Roses fans are as savage as the Guns was. There's a crowd out here, very, very huge and crazy, that's seeing the Guns like a movie on their DVDs, in pause. Just waiting for the "play". I, personally, comprehend that, the old Guns cannot be an unity anymore, because they have anger from each other. And when it comes to money and reputation, things go worse. As this is not enough, I bet all the guys in the new Guns had a dream to be in a so famous and giant band as Guns N' Roses is. It's unfair to take their dream and their jobs away (and from their families too) just because we, the fans, want. There are much more things involved than our need to see the old Guns together. So, we just have Axl's version of the facts, and Slash's version of the facts. ONLY THEY KNOW WHO'S THE BAD GUY.

    2. Guns N' Roses is unique. For the fans, those savages and crazy guys I mentioned, there will be always 1 Guns N' Roses, wich is: Axl, Izzy, Slash, Duff and Steven. But there's one thing that has to be said: even if these guys were put together, the Guns N' Roses as the world know, would not exist anymore. There are no more drunk boys or full-of-drugs boys. Thay're mature, they've grown and their attitudes nowadays are different, much more responsible. It's easy to see it: go to a Velvet Revolver show. Or go to a Guns N' Roses show. The past is the past. But Guns N' Roses is a still-alive legend.

    3. Chinese Democracy is one of the best albums ever. Of course this is not an Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven album. I guess it wouldn't be even nowadays, as the way we, crazy fans, want. But, I'm a musician, and the work that is presented in this album is the more innovative I've heard in the past 10 years. Axl overcame himself. A lot. And this has to be recognized.

    4. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR GUNS N' ROSES. Since Guns N' Roses brokeup, I NEVER heard a band wich I could tell: wow, they're amazing. The only ones who got closer were MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE. This might sound ridiculous, but analyze: they are capable to call the attention, they have great musics (ballads and agressive ones), they have GREAT GUITAR SOLOS and they have the teen spirit. They're soooooooooo far of being the most dangerous band of the world, but musically, they impress. What I wanna say? There are 10 years of Simple Plan, Fall out boy, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Evanescence, Alice in Cahins, Oasis. And NONE put Guns N' Roses down. That's the reason for so much hope.

    5. Talk to your fans is a great idea. There's the internet nowadays. You can talk to anyone anywhere, without the obligation to answer some question you don't want to. Being close to your fans will make them understand your personality and attitudes. Some will like, some will not. Just as life is. But that's the proof that you really care about your fans, you're very thankfull to them and you love them. Keep in contact! We thank you!

So, that's all. As I said, this comment are just some fan words, but I really hope it help Axl and the new crowd to understand the mind of the Guns N' Roses fans. I wish the best for the new and the old crowd, and for Axl. Again, the world NEEDS some different Rock N' Roll. And I wish Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver make it!

I'm sorry if I was kind of agressive any time. This is not my intention.

    Bravo!

  4. Your a self obsessed knob Axel (shocking name by the way).... you think your S%*t dont stink and you make crap music... Your a has been that has no respect for anyone (Not even your fans)... Hopefully one day you will realise how much of a D*&k you are... by the way ive heard the new ablum... its crap!

Wow, what a self important person you are. I suppose you have something much more interesting to offer the world besides snide remarks and internet tough guy bullsh*t. If you have such a problem with the man, why are you wasting your time posting to him?

Oh, and learn to spell and use a little thing called grammar. Might help you make a point rather than look like a ranting juvenile idiot.

One man's crap -- and what's life without a bit of manure to fertilize it -- is another man's banquet...luckily.

  5. Axl I would like to know why you avoid the press so much. I think it's definitely hurting album sales, I mean, you haven't even done one interview. I know for sure you'd be able to get a few magazine covers. So why don't you? Why be such a hermit/recluse?

That's ur opinion and it very well could be true.

What I have to say a lot of people have no desire to hear.

With our team we were able to negotiate thru a mountain of issues to be able to release the album. Within' those negotiations I believed I had secured agreements, commitments and assurances that would have allowed a promotional strategy to be implemented that obviously I've had a fair amount of time to consider. Unfortunately those things never happened and once the record was closer to release the biz went about things in their standard business as usual mode.

Why can't people be hermits? It's not all that strange, and neither is being an insomniac/night owl. In any case, we don't own our idols, much as we may like to. In knowing so much about them, distorted though the knowledge may be, we come to feel we have a right to their lives, but we don't. Buy the album, buy the art. It doesn't entitle you to a piece of the artist. Or if you want to see it that way...it is a piece of the artist, and it's the only piece you've a right to.

We may love your music, Axl, but you've every right to escape us all.
