  1. 1)Buckethead is more stylish and melodic. His character goes hand in hand with his playing which makes him a very original player. His style is probably catchier.

    2)Bumblefoot is ( way ) more technical : FACT.

I can understand why people wouldn't like his playing ( too many dissonances, micro tonal stuff, TOO MANY NOTES etc...but at the end of the day, what he plays is way harder ).

You can deny that all you want but you just have to try and play both Bumble's hardest solo material and Bucket's and Ron is WAY harder...

But yeah, Bucket's part on Chinese stand out way more, probably because of 1)

Guthrie Govan shits on Bucket ( technically speaking ) at any hour of the day with one hand tied in the back.

Andy Timmons is equally as melodical as Bucket.

Paul Gilbert is a heavy metal version of Buckethead.

Thus, Buckethead, even though he is an incredible guitarist and artist, isn't THE ultimate guitarist at all...There is no such thing anyway.

    This one!!!

I must add that Bucket probably stopped being hugely technical (to the extent Ron remained one) on purpose. I suppose it is partly the reason for the Bucket....I think He knows much more than what He shows in terms of technique....I can somehow understand that for a player at His level it is sort of a shame that He ventures into melodic/predictable realms!

In terms of GNR, it is quite clrear that it is a true Bucket territory due to the above (the only virtuoso who dares/inclined to make easy melodic pieces without always showing off with His superior technical feats)..

and last but not least....my opinion on Ron vs. Bucket in GNR is not even shaped...BUT non other than Axl Rose is clearly preferring Bucket's work within GNR, it is a fact I believe!!!!!!

    Bullshit rumour after bullshit rumour...

    You're a mod.

    shit, yea!

Cheer up! I'm sure we'll have some positive news to look forward to soon as in "a week or so."

    I doubt it..

thanks for the info youthinkso..I really hope Bucket will return one day so I would be happy if you are proven right!

I will cast some heavy wishful thinking here...I was wondering if a reunion of the original lineup AND with Bucket has ever been considered?

I feel kinda privileged to have seen the Buckethead Era GN’R. Slash is still better than any of them at performing the original songs, but they need Buckethead and Robin to perform the Chinese tracks. I don’t support this new line up one bit. They are total cover band.

I know it’ll never happen, but a GN’R tour feat. Both Slash and Buckethead (they’ve met each other) would be the ultimate. If Robin Fink could show up for This I Love, and Better, then all the better.

this one...except I do not think Robin is needed that much...this I love would be much better with Slash!

  4. if you look into www.bucketheadland.com

You may find a welcome message that Buckethead is going to be silent for a short time period....the reasons are not known, though it is speculated that He is getting back surgery and needs to rest for a while. Not too good news, let us hope for the best anyways.

also please look on the heading of the page....bucketheadland is written using the same font as I reckon CD is using on certain merchandising?? just a coincidence or not???

    anyone with more insight?

  5. Kimi is a good guy...it is very important that he is never speaking bullshit, so the words He compresses out of himself once a day really worth listening to....here he says that there is nothing more than just some partying with Axl and he is also surprised to see his name on CD! so it is rather a list of all the celebs Axl came accross in the last 15 years:)

on Alonso, if he is the best how he could not plainly beat his rookie teammate in 2007 (you can argue that he did not get better support than Hamilton, but not worse off either)....I can accept he is the second best:)....on raw speed they claim Kimi is the King....I would add Vettel from this year as a quick one

He actually drew with Hamilton in 2007, both had 109 points. But you could say that being the fastest doesn't mean you are the best, Alonso himself says he is not the fastest but the most consistent on the grid.

indeed, in points terms they drew...also in points terms Kimi beat both:) on a side note, Hamilton has been severely hit by undeserved penalties (e.g. Spa) and by the stupidness of his own team (China)...so overall I believe that he was better as a whole package than Alonso in His very first year....to be fair this might not have happened in case Alonso did not underestimate Hamilton

  7. It is quite apparent why they can sell out stadiums outside the US, whereas it is not that shiny within their home soil....please just compare the number of US shows with the non-US shows, it will not show the same difference as population in those areas....so a non-US fan has far less chance seeing them live, He/She will grap every opportunity to do so....
