He did lots of songs with the 'rasp', it's like he can do it both, but preferred this voice on Sweet Child and You Could Be Mine.

The festival had only one stage with rock bands, the other stages were filled with grindcore, death metal, black metal, d-beat crust and more of these types of extreme metal. Most of the people were metal fans who enjoyed hearing songs like Sweet Child O Mine, Welcome To The Jungle etc finally live. No fans, but people who appreciate the music and loved the show. That's why they were too static. The show was good imo.

Great show, much better than Arnhem 2010. Axl's voice was great this time, in 2010 I had to cover my ears during This I Love, but this time it was just great.

Poor ticket sales by the way, only standing tickets and lower seats were sold out, upper seats were almost empty. So, about 8.000-9.000 tickets sold.

I guess that's because Guns 'N Roses and Slash play Holland 5 days after each other. So people are likely to make a choice for one of them.

But after all, great show. I'll upload some video's later.

Don't forget they play near the German border on next saturday and Slash and GNR are also on Graspop in a few weeks. For Guns N' Roses fans a better option imo (if they love festivals that is)

I like the song, but the sound is a little bit 'clean'... especially when you hear the Adler song after it.

2006 Goffertpark was made smaller due to less crowd expected.

They were very badly received in 2006, and deservedly so. It was a shitty show and and they let people wait for two hours in the rain.

I was there, and there was no rain, and the organisation let Soulfly play a longer set, so the crown doesn't have to wait too long. Graspop keeps booking more rock act lately, like Buckcherry, Whitesnake etc... But they didn't play very well in 2006, that's why I think it was not so good received.

It was raining like hell in 2006. The crew had a lot of work cleaning the stage before Guns started their show. Soulfly was booked at last as headliner in 2010, the year Guns was supposed to play at Graspop.

My bad, it was indeed raining later that night, Soulfly played before GNR in 2006, Korn should play between them, but cancelled. So Soulfly played almost 90-100 minutes.

depends on the song I think, I personally would love to hear You Could Be Mine from the Appetite sessions... but can't imagine Coma or other songs with Adler's sound.

"sellout" is such a childish term. he's a grown ass man and can do whatever he wants. He's almost 50 and I dont think he cares too much about being a badass stickin' it to the man. He's not 18 anymore. These rediculous terms dont apply anymore. Hes a father first and this is an awesome way to do something for his kids.
