  1. at the drive-in are better.

but mars volta pull off a killer live show. i saw them about a month and abit ago wen they came to aus. the show had more energy than a million nuclear bombs literally. great band. great music.

  2. i enjoyed the album. they had some great songs. the unknown feeling, sweet amber, some kind of monster, and st anger. some songs were just fillers, but meh. i dont know wat you guys were expecting, i wasnt expecting much, thats why i probably liked the album :)

i just can appreciate that there still together, touring, and making music, cause without these guys i would of never picked up guitar, or gotten into rock n roll :) so cheers to metallica

  3. I bought the album sometime last week. its better than their first album...

What i love about jet is their ability to rip off beatles, pink floyd, radiohead, stones, and what not, and kinda mix all their songs into one.

Its a great skill to have, and i dont care that they still rip off riffs cause their a good band, and are good at what they do. + there from my hometown :D

Anyone else bought the album ? what do you think ?

check out their video / single -

  4. Man. why does this keep popping up? we know the mainstream sucks ok ? fuck get over it. go to your local pub, or a bar, and go watch a band. quit waiting for radio to play a decent band for you, go find it yourself.

I mean personally im really happy with contemporary music. and i got plenty of ablums released in the past 6 years to prove it.

  5. hard question...

    2 of my favourite bands...

i saw placebo on friday night and can i say it was awsome... fucking awsome.. fucking awsome...

Muse have got great riffidge, and are probably better. But personally i just like placebo, brian's lyrics have helped me alot, and he is a great song writer.

Muse just write about anything, i dont think theres as much meaning in there songs.

  6. i know when i have a problem, i just think about other people's problems and compare it to mine... unless ur living in a small ethiopian village, and you just found out you caught ebola, you shouldnt really be complaining.

  7. they are my new favourite band... very underrated.

they make beautiful music, favourite album is definitely blacks holes & revelations & absolution.

  8. stop making posts about this album.

    its not that great really.

its instant gratification. i listened to the ablum once, its a great ablum. its just boring. and predictable and generic.

the only song that has any greatness to it is joker and the thief. that riff is awsome.

  9. Did I fall or was I pushed?

Did I fall or was I pushed?

    And where's the blood?

    And where's the blood?

This song is so haunting now. There was an interview on the radio with thom yorke and he explained the inspiration for the song. Its about an employee of the ministry of defence in the uk. He was outspoken, and claimed that all the arguments for invading iraq(weapons of mass destruction) were fabricated and there was no evidence to base them on. He was found dead on harrowdown hill shortly after. Its very spooky and the lyrics are very powerful, i find it hard to listen to it now.

There was a big coverup with his death, they said he commited suicide, but it was impossible to kill yourself with a blunt knife, and cause that much blood loss etc. Alot of flaws in the report. Did i fall or was i pushed, and wheres the blood ? Beautiful, thom is a genius, and this song has taken on a completely new dimension for me.

  10. No ones given any credit to motley crue.

i just like the 90's better i think...

u had the chili peppers, radiohead, placebo, pearl jam, soundgarden, rage against the machine, nine inch nails...etc

the only good thing that came out of the 80's was motley crue :)

  11. Showbiz = Great.

Origin Of Symmetry = Amazingly great.

Absolution = A bit underwhelming after OoS, but very good.

Black Holes and Revelations = Very poor.

I just can't dig Black Holes and Revelations at all. It's so dull, and where on EARTH are all the electric riffs I've grown to love from Muse? Meh. It just seems very boring, they used to have a pretty progressive sound, but that's been lost with the new album. It's lost the magic their first three albums had.

They're still an absolutely amazing live act, and I'm seeing them this November infact, but it's just a shame they're going to be playing so much material from the new album.

thats funny cause black holes and revelations is wat got me into the muse, and has been in my car cd player for acouple of weeks. i rekon its an awsome album, and far from very poor, its up to par with the rest of their albums.

  12. muse are my favourite band at the moment...... love these cunts too much... absolution is one of my top 5 albums of all time now :)

  13. Dude, it shouldn't be that hard to appreciate somebody that can do more with her voice than most of us can with a guitar.

I do appreciate the voice, but the song does nothing for me. I admire her for taking risks with her music though, just proves shes not in it for the money, and will not sell out to wat the public want her to do. Like Nelly furtado(who has just dumbed herself down completely)

Just saying the song does nothing for me, it lacks substance i guess.

  14. no denying shes got a great voice, and even better tits.

but that song does nothing for me, just cause shes doing songs influenced from the 30's 40's, everyones giving her so much credit for being innovative. Honestly who gives a shit? its garbage. but we all love it, cause about every guy just wants to pound her silly, including me.

  15. Here's Clapton demolishing every live version of "Little Wing" Hendrix ever did:

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=_w7Cm7QhWKQ

You should be ashamed of this obtuse post. Clapton himself would slap you for that one.

    SRV Little Wing

Now that's demolition at its finest...

I thought that perfomance was great. But SRV is the man when it comes to blues. no one touches SRV. And its not apples and oranges. its fact.
