Potentially some very short Slash interviews coming up

Same shit...different thread title

Still clinging onto the past like sad old men retelling stories of the glory days, it's fucking pathetic
I know, Axl really needs to move on!
I don't see or hear Axl bitching and moaning about the past too often, he's just playing the tunes with people that he wants to play them with

I don't even know why I wander in to this section anymore.
Too many annoying cupcakes that need to be banned.
That's probably the goal though - real fans leaving, old fanboys and cupcakes doing their party here.

Axl seems happy and has done for years so what does it matter? Axl is the man and his opinion and feelings are all that matters regardless of the "yes" men that surround Axl. It's his vision and no amount of threads complaining about it on the internet will change a single thing. Be thankful for the little things (like touring) I guess

Piers Morgan is such a tosser
Care to elaborate why?

God bless people from England and their love for Axl
There's tons of love for Axl here in the UK, he might be an asshole sometimes but he's the best frontman around. People here are perhaps more willing and able to put aside any preconceptions and just go along to the concerts and enjoy what Axl and the band can do.
Piers Morgan has made a bold move here and certainly gone against the tide, but perhaps he is one of the few that can actually see through all the bullshit.

I really dont think he is that unpopular in the UK, he has an interview show in a prime time spot on Saturday nights on ITV with huge ratings and is now doing the same in the States....probably jealously or something on here. He's had some flack during the whole newspaper phone hacking fiasco, but in reality he was nowhere near as culpuble as most. I think his opinion carries some weight and influence and I'm happy he is on Axl's side.

I'm a massive fan of the new band but the list is absolutely correct in my opinion. You have to accept that the band in that form elevated Guns N' Roses to greatness and worldwide popularity.
I still don't see Axl showing for this (unless someone like Elton John or Brian May are inducting them), even if he does there is no chance of a reunion...they have all travelled too far down different roads now.

What does it matter anyway? Its not going to change anything or magically transport everyone back in time to when they were all still together and functioning as a band.
It's water under the bridge that passed 20 years ago, and like with any story over time the actual truth becomes more and more diluted.
The whole situation doesn't bother me personally, and why should it? This was between the band at the time and none of them has a responsibility to talk about it publically and essentially it was (and still is) a private issue. Axl has chosen not to talk about it and I think you've got to respect that.
Bring on the future....stop digging up the past.

Maybe things (in terms of promo) will pick up when the band is actually in the States?
-
Presumably this kind of statement is going to be submitted every time they go on late?
This might well be true, but given the history of late starts and contradictory facebook messages this seems very ill thought out.

That's a huge task if that's what he wants to do
Better then AFD and the illusions that's crazy talk he has a shit load of work to do
yeah for a start he needs to learn to play the guitar properly the goon
I don't think there's anything wrong for showing a bit of drive and ambition and sharing this with the fans. He might actually be the person that gets Axl to start regularly releasing some material and I for one hope so.
I think he genuinely cares about the GNR legacy and wants to move the band forwards and release something special...whether he's talented enough to achieve that is a different matter but I'd say this is promising at least.

Look, his voice is in bad shape and needs practice. End of story. Stop posting these stupid topics.
Agreed. Whatever happened has happened...Axl didn't retire, the world didn't stop turning and the show goes on...
I think this has been analysed to death by both sides
-
I remember a similar thing happened to Bono a few years ago. Some trashy UK newspaper got hold of a picture with Bono looking somewhat portly...but I don't think anyone ever talks about it anymore.
I'm sure Axl will be working hard to shift a few pounds, its not like he can't afford a trainer/dietician/surgeon

The conspiracy theorists are having an absolute field day with this. The amount of utter bullshit being posted on here is incredible....but I guess if there is a wall of silence then inevitably that's going to happen. Not sure if Axl has ever apologised to anybody in his life, so the chances of one to the internet community are miniscule. Maybe we should all just carry on and see how this tour pans out.

Given the internet bashing he's been getting I would think only a public flogging live on Youtube would appease the masses....followed by retirement.
The People In GnR, Analyzed.........maybe.....

That's some very insightful and well thought out analysis there. Congratulations on that post and this topic in general.
