Realistically, i'm expecting the same rigid setlist, hopefully, Dead Horse, Locomotive, and a few others will be added, as well as at least one new tune. As long as Estranged is played, i'll be more than happy.

Ticket has been bought. All I need now is for time to pass quicker! Roll on the 17th!!

Dublin Show!
in 2012
I'll be making the trip over from Manchester. Not been to a gig in Dublin before but looking forward to it. Let me know which boozer you'll be attending and i'll make my way there for a few beers with you guys.
-
Ticket for Dublin, Done. Can't wait for it after missing out on the US tour.
-
In the event that there is a tour in whatever form! I'll make the trip over from the UK to catch a few. Can anyone reccomend a kick ass drinking town where I should visit and catch a show and hopefully meet up with some fans off here?
-
Just off to the Walkabout now for the pre build up get together. See you there if you're going. Otherwise catch you all there tonight. 2006 gig was amazing, lets hope it's as good this time, can't see it though, 06 tour was way more intense than this one. But all good.

The WALKABOUT bar on Quay Street are having a pre, during, and after party from 3pm until 1.30 a.m. Was there for the Pearl Jam gig last year, good place to meet and get rid of or purchase spare tickets.

Christ! The o2 standing tickets went fast, only managed to get seating, oh well, still fucking ecstatic - this and Reading!!
Looks like you can only get upper tier seating now so it's very close to being sold out way before they've even been on general sale for 24 hrs.
Maybe they will add a second date in London :xmasssanta:
It's a pretty big venue as well, pretty amazing that's almost sold out already.
What's the size in comparison to London Wembley Arena? That sold out very fast too.
I do find that Guns are still quite big around England. Haven't found a lot of people with love for the new album (nor know about the new album ) but I find a lot of people have Guns as one of there favourite bands. Whats more is any club/venue I go to, the biggest response of the night is consistently Sweet Child O' Mine.
Wembley Arena is 12,500 and the o2 is 23,000 - so quite a difference.
I've personally also not come across a lot of love for 'new Gn'r' in the UK, so it's great to see that they can sell this much in such a short amount of time (surely, by now, everybody knows that the old guys are not in the band).
You going to this show?
Indeed I am Standing of course.
Apart from friends who i've introduced to the new music and band- most people don't really have a clue what Guns N' Roses exactly is. Most don't even know that they are still about. They are blissfully unaware of Chinese Democracy, them touring or anything of the new band. They just know that Sweet Child O' Mine and Paradise City are two of the greatest songs of all time.
Now pre-Chinese Democracy release I wouldn't have minded that but now the album has been out for almost 2 years I find that pretty criminal.
I fear that a lot of Reading/Leeds festival goers are going to be in for a shock when they see Axl, DJ, BBF, Fortus, Stinson, Ferrer, Dizzy and Pitman, I think they're all expecting GN'R reunion and AFD UYI setlists of the past, not the CD rich setlists!! Oh Dear. I fear Axl might see his arse at these 2 shows.

Slightly off-topic but just fyi :
Bumblefoot : It’s looking like we’ll be working from the end of August thru October we will be performing our way all the way through to Croatia and then hopefully some key dates back in the USA!I know the keyword is "hopefully" but he wouldn't say it if there weren't plans...
God I hope there are some US gigs, a NYC gig would cap off a great gigging year for me. G N'R (x5 hopefully, Calgary, Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester), Pearl Jam, Slash, Stone Sour, Avenged Sevenfold, Alter Bridge. Some Jane's Addiction would go down well too.
Let's hope there's a few Axl friendly venues left for some quality gigs.
-
1 x Standing ticket for Birmingham as I want to get to the front again and get a good look at them again.
2 x Standing tickets for Manchester as my mate is coming with me for this one and he's not interested in barrier standing and early access.
Can't wait for these 2 gigs on the back of Calgary earlier in the year and Belfast in a few weeks time.
-
Either way, there's a lot of good potential gigging to be done, hope the setlist gets tweaked a little so it's not so static. Calgary, Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester, possibly London too.
I was too at the calgary show, it was ace!!
Well worth the 800 quid trip, had a good time there even though I was solo.
Yeah I was solo too, it's not quite the same but I still rocked like crazy!! Manchester will be FANTASTIC!!
It was in 2006, never lost so much weight at a gig before in my life, crazy hot and everybody was giving loads up the front, cracking gig.
-
On the London date it says:
Onsale to General Public
Start: Fri 06/08/10, 10:00
Presale
Start: Thu 05/08/10, 09:00
End: Fri 06/08/10, 09:00
American Express
Start: Tue 03/08/10, 09:00
End: Fri 06/08/10, 09:00
Is there going to be some code for the presale like last time?
Hope that they are new ones, can't remember the ones I used for the Calgary gig.

Nothing confirmed on Birmingham LG Arena either!
-
It's all confirmed on the MEN website, having worked there, I know they don't advertise 'Maybe's'.
-
Was the same before the Calgary gig, nobody really knew they were playing, but it looked pretty packed from the front of the stage. Sure it will have a chance of being packed, but it is a school night!!
-
Can't wait for this one. Saw them in Calgary earlier in the year! Watched Pearl Jam at the Odyssey a few weeks back.
-
Right, on my way, 14 hour flight on the way but excited after last night's setlist! Hopefully nothing gets thrown on saturday and a kick-ass show is on the cards. See you there.

Managed to get my GA Standing tickets today. Never been to Calgary before so looking forward to that, anybody point me in the direction of a good pub? Think it will be cold! But hey, might as well be cold in Canada watching GN'R than cold in the UK! Hope to see you all there.
Where's the pre-party? I'm flying in for both Edmonton and Calgary.
Not heard any whispers or mention of one, given the internet a good searching too. I fly in from UK thursday night all being well, so will have a look around then just in case there's something on somewhere. Looks like i'm going to have a spare GA ticket too. Can't wait to see you all there.

Caught G N'R 3 times in 06, twice at their own gigs and at Download. Both of their own gigs involved Axl coming on at his usual sort of time, which in turn produced awesome performances. Download meant he had to start on time, which he did, despite being on the booze at the British GP that afternoon, wasn't going well at all for the first hour, but he dragged it back. We all know that starting on time doesn't suit, so I don't think he'll fancy doing too many festivals again for that reason.
Think Rammstein has got to be a shoe in for either friday or saturday nights next year, with, hopefully, Soundgarden on sunday night.
I'll come down from the clouds soon!
The next tour

Another tour the same as the last will be just as good! I'm still attending 4 of the UK gigs, but it's risky to do it exactly the same. So i'm expecting a slightly different stage, slightly revamped setlist, and maybe 2 new songs to test the water with. Not too long before we find out. Roll on the 17th.
