  1. Hey

Due to last minute medical reasons (girlfriend is pregnant in 3rd trimester and the doctor just recommended we avoid travel), we can't make it to the show. If possible, I'm looking to sell our 2 tickets, sector 108, buying price 87.4 € (digital tickets)..Let me know if you're interested.

    Thank you

  2. Considering these 2010/2012 dates, I'm pretty hopeful they'll do more central/eastern EU dates. Pretty sure in 2010 they announced Serbia first, I rushed to get a ticket only to have Romania announced a few weeks later so they might not drop all at once.

  3. Izzy would do it even without Steven... He was in the first version of velvet revolver with Matt... I cross my fingers that he's in the reunion.

Gnr fans know how izzy is important for the sound, for the soundwriting, for the band alchemy...

I totally acknowledge Izzy's contributions to the band's success. He may have been involved with Velvet Rervolver initially, but that's not GN'R. Just wonder if Izzy Sees GN'R as the original 5. He said it wasn't the same after the band lost their 'swing' (Steven).

It's hard to say. My view is that Izzy is more important to the songwriting process than he is to the live setting. If new music comes about then I'd hope he'd be involved in some capacity. As for a tour, I'll still consider a reunion without him. At the very least it's Slash and Duff reuniting with Axl.

Izzy was very important to the live sound during their club days (85-88). The Appetite era band had a special sound that could only be created by those 5 guys. Once Izzy sobered up and there were ego issues going on between Izzy and Slash, the magic was gone during UYI Tour. Supposedly Izzy played through an amp that wasn't even turned on during the UYI shows.

What ego issues between Izzy and Slash? Any details / source?

  4. Throwing my 2 cents around here;

Reunion rumors have been going for months now, but everything went crazy after the Billboard article. The thing that makes it most believable for me is that fact that no-one (Adler included!) is saying anything about it. I don't think Axl would go on a show to dismiss it. He could do the letter / press release thing he did for the Hall of Fame and spare himself any question on the matter.

Regarding line-up I personally think it would be Axl-Slash-Duff-Fortus-Matt-Dizzy (+ Izzy and Adler on ocassion ). The Kushner rumor is strange because he was never a member and it would make it harder to market as a reunion. Gilby also seems out of loop. Dizzy has 25+ years so he's a safe bet. For casual fans, though, Axl+Slash is all that's expected. Also, having a Coachella line-up and a different tour line-up? Does any serious band do this? They would obviously do photos for media and marketing so coming with 2 line-ups would be weird.

As for Axl's fitness level, I think he'll be great. Yes, he had some really low performances (RiR 2011, bridge school), but I've seen them twice in the last 5 years and he was great on both ocassions. The second time, in 2012, they went above 3 hours and he was holding it up, though maybe it's just me being over enthusiastic at GnR shows.

All in all, I hope things are really good between Axl and Slash and this isn't just a cash grab. I'd really like for them to enjoy the time on stage. Even if all this hype builds up to nothing, knowing they moved on and there's no longer any have would be awesome.

May you all have a great 2016 and fingers crossed for some central/eastern EU dates in 2016/2017.

  5. Unexpected ending for me as well. I don't feel it leaves as much open possibilties as would have other scenarios.

Not sure how Basaam could still turn things into his favour right now. He will survive for sure, but I can't see him finding too many allies, except for his journalist friend. That speech must have some significance, otherwise it wouldn't make a lot sense to have included that part. I can already picture Jamal feeling betrayed and unleashing hell into the country.
  6. yes this is one of the shows I've been following and enjoying if only to see what happens next. I'm thinking barry will dig in so deep and become what he's trying to fight against. Barry's wife isn't a very good character or maybe she's just not a good actress? Can't quite put my finger on what's wrong there. They need to show us a little more of what's it's like over there from the people's perspective imo.

I think the wife and kids are undeveloped becos they are going to get whacked. Some scenery would be nice, they aren't rioting I guess because of the elections. but maybe closer to voting stuff will blow up. jamal will want to pull out. So Barry will have to work fast to save his ass and win out.

I feel the whole parent - kids theme was very neglected throughout the season. It's basically what got Jamal and Bassam to be who they are and I would have liked to see more focus on how those 2 relate to their kids. My bet on the finale is that Barry will somehow get to be head of state and Jamal in quest for revenge. Probably some notable deaths too.

  7. 1. I don't think Axl owes the fans anything in terms of new music. What he does with his life is his own business.

    2. I think Slash was the one who took the decision to leave, without being forced, possibly thinking GnR would not go on without him.

    3. I think Axl was genuinely upset that Slash left and tried to get him back, at least for a while.

    4. Axl did not manage to replace Slash in terms of creativity, Slash did not manage to get a decent singer for GnR songs (probably Izzy+Duff would have been the best choice).

    5. I find CD to be a good rock album, with 3-4 songs being actually at AFD-UYI level.

    6. UYI and AFD are the greatest music albums for me.

    7. I'd go to a GnR show for as long as Axl is in the band.

    8. Current GnR has awesome live shows, better than the classic lineup. Contrary to common opinions, I think Axl was in pretty good physical shape in 2012 (vocally not the greatest).

    9. CD couldn't have possibly lived up to the expectations that were set. I wouldn't have released the material under that name.

    10. I'm sure Axl and Slash could keep it civil and mend some differences if let alone in a room for a couple of hours.

    11. I'd spend a lot of cash for a reunion show ticket. I'd honestly expect it to be a charity event one-time thing and not a cash grab.

    12. I find GnR to be the greatest band ever.

  8. I think you can say that about Better, SOD, Twat, Catcher, madagascar, TIL, Prostitute. If they came out in 94 with Slash playing on them they would be considered classic GNR songs.

Pretty much what I can listen to from CD. Probably neither comes close to GNR's best, but those wouldn't have been fillers.

  9. Stopped following somewhere in season 8 after getting tired of it. I agree seasons 1 to 5 were great and then it all kind of went down. Not sure if the season 5 theme was planned from the start, but the development into that direction was pretty smooth. I might give it a try if season 9 seems promising.

  10. The idea of putting new songs each leg of the tour is for more dedicated fans. Most people go for the well known songs, ones that hit the mainstream media and not the rock niche. I saw them twice and I will buy a ticket next time they come around this area. Yes, I'd like Coma, Breakdown, Dead Horse, Catcher or TWAT live, but I'm quite aware that won't happen. How many fans would take anything from CD over any of SCOM/WTTJ/NR/PC?

The 2012 gig was about 35 songs with over 3 hours of amazing show and just 10 minutes of delay. Of all the generally praised bands out there not sure how many come close to that.

For me, it all comes down to promotion. I think about 80% of the people go to a show if they find it to be an important event. If the management is clever enough and they scale an event to the significance of say Pink Floyd / LZ / GNR reunion (generally speaking an unique event), the fans will want to be part of it. If it's presented as an ordinary event, people will just ignore it.
