Nearly 20 years pal. This is what you have after nearly 20 fucking years! 1 album and a never ending nostalgia tour that gets worse every time out. People who say the fans bitch too much are fucking idiots at this point
You are right, I am a fucking idiot. What was I thinking going to Vegas for an epic weekend seeing a band I grew up with, playing music I love. I wish I was more like you, sitting in my basement on a Saturday night trolling message boards about lack of setlist changes for a concert I'm not even going to attend.
Since you only seem to be interested in new music - i found an artist who makes lots of new music that you can go comment on: http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/justin-bieber/forum

Other notes about this show i'll leave for people that care:
- There was a couple Jewish guys in front of me waving little handheld Isreali flags. When someone threw up the Brazil flag (seen in pic earlier) one of these guys threw theirs up too. BBF picked it up, waived it a couple times then started playing some cords of the song using the handle as a pick. He then crouched down and gave it right back to the dude who threw it. Cool souvenir for that guy.
- One our way into the joint, we were standing beside this old dude (who had a SUPER hot young blonde on his arm) who my friend joked "looked like Keith Richards" thiking it was just some older fan going to the show. Needless to say we were blown away when we recognized the same guy playing Bass on stage later that evening. We were standing out there with Tommy Stinson and didn't even know it! Too bad, would have been cool to get a pic.
- Tons of Canadians. 90% of the people I met pre/at/post show were Canadian. Wonder why?
- I mentioned the panties on axl's forehead earlier, there was another pair (this time Red ) that were thrown up at some point. DJ picked them up and strung them over BBF's two neck guitar while he solo'd. Was pretty funny.
- Axl commented after singing UTLH that he likes watching the difference between the guys who rock out and the girls who cringe as he sings the chorus.
- The audience was such a wide age range. I saw some 80+ year olds and some as young as 9 or 10. I found that weird.
Anyways, i think thats it from me. I'll let this post die now. I just got back from Vegas and need a nap!

You guys bitch too much. I was there, the show fucking rocked. Energy kept me going in Vegas till 7am.
Axl sounded fucking great. He was in a great mood. All smiles and was interacting with us up front a lot. Threw his mic into the crowd after Paradise City. Some lady threw her panties and they landed right on his face and stayed there. It was fuckin classic, perfect shot and he loved it.
Only problem was the 40 something year old lawyers who brought their wives down to the front and then got pissy if you came near her. Get a fucking seat next time asshole!

Yah, day 2 is weak - but this isn't your normal big city rock festival. This is @ a park I take my kids to the swings and splashpad on the outskirts of downtown. I'm stoked ANYONE would play here.
Also - isn't Stix fronted by Lawrence Gowan these days? Gotta support the Canadian artists!

Hope this isn't a repost!
Big music fest lineup announced today featuring Slash and Aerosmith on the third day. Best part is this park is about a 5 minute walk from my house!!! Will be a great weekend.
Check it: http://bigmusicfest.com
I think this must be karma for spending a truck load of cash on my upcoming Vegas trip in May... the rock gods want me to see all of GnR, past and present!
(p.s. Kitchener has been rocking well lately, we had L.A. Guns play a free show in front of City Hall last year. My 3 year olds first rock show!)

Tickets booked. Going to the show on May 24, maybe on the 25 (will be a decision that day)

Grade 6 - would have been around '89 i guess, got the AFD taped from a tape that was taped from a tape i think. Was in love playing that on my yellow water resistant sony walkman while mowing the lawn, delivering papers and riding the bus to school. Grade 7 my whole look changed as a result. I showed up first day of school in cowboy boots with chains, some kind of metal band t-shirt, a leather biker style jacket (which i still have) and long hair. Looking back its funny as shit, because if I picture my 11 year old nephew looking like that now i laugh my ass off. I only saw the original lineup once in concert - i thnk it was '92 at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton. Great show, i remember AXL storming off stage after being hit with something and Duff finishing the vocals on whatever they were playing (Paradise maybe?). Duff has been my favorite since. Saw lots of boobs that night too.
Fell out of it in the grunge days for a bit, doing the major summer alt rock conerts through highschool.
Then in college, when MP3 downloading became a thing, i re-discovered GNR and have never looked back. Now 13 years graduated and GNR is still in heavy rotation on my phone's playlist. Went to see them in '11 & '12 at Copps again, almost went to vegas this year but timing didn't work out with the arival of my 2nd kid. I hope they continue to tour because my 3 year old fucking LOVES them (due to the aforementioned heavy rotation no doubt) and when he's a bit older would love to take him to see a show.
Rock on!
-
Where are you guys? Hbo Canada on Bell didn't show the gnr performance...cut to Robbie Robertson right after the induction.

Nope, not true. Chicago show was a few weeks ago and Albany was supposed to be this week.
My bad. I was meaning the Worcester show, not Chicago.
Just thought I would point out to anyone from out of town who wants to eat prior to the show, the best spot in Hamilton is just down the street from the concert. Place is called Mex-I-Can and is amazing. Just ate here last night. I recommend the guacamole starter and the chicken super burrito! (it is also licensed)
I believe me and my fellow concert goers will be meeting at the Slainte Irish pub before the show tomorrow. There was a few other groups of GNR fans here last time. Any other spots that ppl plan on meeting?
-
Hey I was listening to Y108 tonight and they said that there's rumors they won't play this show. I see they cancelled a show in Albany but Played Chicago the next night. I wonder if poor ticket sales will cause a cancellation? (im assuming poor ticket sales based on the 2 for 1 ticket promo)
Who is doing GA FLoor? What time is everyone lining up? Can't waitttt gonna be amazing - as always
Second this question - what would be a good time to get there if I'm trying to make the rail?
The last show at cops the floor was actually pretty tame - by about mid show I had been pushed up to the front right in the center without much hassle at all. I didn't even enter the arena until Baz was almost done... and we drank a bunch of beers waiting Gun's. All in all - i don't think timing matters... its all about motivation
-
Baz would be awesome. I was at the last Hamilton show and missed most of his set. I recall the Gunners took the stage a bit late.... shortly after Favre threw the interception that ended the Vikings last playoff drive. I wonder if we'll have to wait for MNF to end before they take the stage on Nov 28.
As long as they show the game again in the beer area I don't mind
Sorry in advance for being the drunkest dick @ the show! ROCK AND ROLL BITCHES!

Hey Guys, I'm a new member who stumbled upon this site scouring the net for vids from the show on Sunday. I want to appologize to anyone on the floor about 15 people back, centre stage. I was sooo hammered and there was a couple incidents of aggression towards me on Sunday...(luckily i had lots of freinds around). I had an amazing night, and if that dude is a member here who wore some of my Rum&Pepsi I'm SOO SORRY!
The show was amazing!
Rock and roll dude!
LOL! Thats exactly what i said to the guy..... he still wasn't impressed.
