  1. I was at the Sydney show on Tuesday night, and also at Sydney 2010.

Sydney 2010 was just magic in every way. There's plenty of video evidence to support this, and for those that were there it was even better! Tuesday night we had a great time, but vocally, it wasn't great or consistent. I think you have to remember that when you're at a concert you are getting a whole experience, and therefore vocals are not necessarily as important. I mean they are, but when you watch video, you're missing the atmosphere. It's pretty easy to focus on the whole show when your'e there.

There were lots of satisfied people around us having a ball...except for one old fan who didn't own CD and felt the need to bitch when something off it was played. We had families with young kids around us too, that was pretty cool. On the whole though, the crowd was pretty sedate. Moments of crazy, but overall with the exception of the first few rows at the barrier, things were pretty quiet. We would definitely go again.

  2. Coming out of lurkerdom to ask a very unimportant question, that I haven't seen asked here yet! I googled about this but nothing came up..my kids watch this all the time. I can't find any connection with Slash, but surely they can't claim it's not meant to be Slash potato!

  3. Following in the footsteps of Cold Chisel last year, the Hollywood band will perform at Homebush's Olympic Park on Saturday, December 4 to an estimated crowd of up to 200,000 people

It seems unreal, but there it is. I thought it was at ANZ stadium? Maybe that whole article sucks, I dunno.

  4. I posted a link in the other v8 topic, it says there that they are expected to pull a crowd of 200,000. Does that sound right?

  5. Anything is possible. I recently went and saw AC/DC play to a crowd of 60,000...and there was nothing slow about them at all! They are around the mid fifties and into the sixties I believe.

Axl could do it no problem, if he wanted to.

  6. Ahh some fellow Aussies! I am hoping they come to Australia too...I totally missed the 2007 tour, must have been living on another planet as I didn't even know they were here!
