So my dad came home from work and told me something he heard on a local radio station in regards to the stage collapse.

The guy on the radio said said it apparently collapsed because Axl was extremely late, fans got restless, and pretty much destroyed the place.

I think Paul Stanley hit the nail on the head. The simple reason why backing tracks have to be used on songs like "Scraped" (the intro) is because it is a physical impossibility for Axl to do both lead and harmony parts at the same time.

This is NOT lip-synching. That would be substituting pre-recorded lead vocals for live vocals.

How can you compare this scenario to the typical scenario where the band goes on late? This is an anomaly, obviously. And again, unless you are attending the show, you have no reason to complain about the late start having any kind of effect on you personally, like affecting your ability to work the next day.

They are not overpowering Axl's singing, nor are the their to make one believe that he is actually singing the recordings. Thus this dude is being a dick slap. I acturally believe in bands being geniune on stage- in all aspects. This isn't a Lady Gaga concert where you have a person who has credit singing live but indeed has a back up track. This is.. or was.. a band that was always strait up in honesty. Flaws and all.

Comparing Axl to Lady Gaga is just fucking ridiculous.

1- Tommy was doing the back vocals.

2- Lots of singers from several band add a second voice in the background, so the sound have a cool effect, and they do it more often when they have several shows booked in a short time, and Guns N' Roses had big concert in the next day.

3- IT'S CHINESE DEMOCRACY, full of this cool tech stuff! Listen to it! In the title track, there's more than one Axl singing, different from the Demo. If there was only one Axl singing, people might think there was something wrong...

4- In Rio 2001 with a horrible voice, Axl didn't use playback. Why would he use it in 2010, that he's voice is awesome!?

If you're going to defend Axl, get the facts straight. Yes, the band do backing vocals, however there are some parts of some songs which use backing tracks; this is for certain.

GNR sounds great!! for Proof get outta ur basement n' go to a gig!!!

Aerosmith has used backing tracks, as have others-this in NO WAY deters from the Fact that GNRs are Sounding GREAT!!!

Nah, Slash is great. He was just stating the obvious truth : Axl is great (well, not as much as some years ago, ageing doesn't help), but apparently it's difficult to deal with his ego.

The obvious truth? What obvious truth??? The fact that dealing with someone is difficult for you doesn't necessary mean the other person is difficult to deal with. Maybe you are the one difficult to deal with.

Slash has spent almost 10 years bashing Axl and blaming him. If he had some dignity left he would just stop talking about Axl and refuse to answer questions about him. But of course he doesn't want to look uncool by telling the press he's not gonna answer questions about Axl anymore. He also knows that talking about Axl would get him some attention, so shame on him he needs to get attention at other people's expenses
