Anyone at this forum listened to that album?I dowloaded it today and i thought it was good for being METAL with big M. Its a pretty sick story behind that album and its said that it started black metal in 1993. If you dont have it, go download!

Rolling Stones is going to continue touring this year and so are Guns N Roses. Since the warm up shows in Germany was cancelled last year maybe Stones will give Axl another opportunity to do some warm up gigs. Would be great, and maybe Axl could join Mick Jagger for Salt Of The Earth again.....

I actually think its a very possible scenario...

And for GNR it would be great to promote the comebeck and hopefully Chinese Democracy!

Never downloaded or baught an album from them. To me metallica has no carisma. A group of half old man dressed in bleck totally booring live shows. They should look at Axl and learned who to put som energi and carisma into their performances. Along with the pop band red hot, their the most overrated band in the world.

Actually, Rock In Rio III ruled.

He hadnt voice on that show. But Jungle intro and outro scream was one of the best scream i ever have seen. Think about you, You could be mine and paradadise city was a shame.

In Leeds Axl moved like in the old days, i think he sang much better then in rio 01. he diddnt looked botoxed or anything.

yes the asian and european shows in 2002 sounded really really great, they were very solid especially London. Particularly Brain's drumset had that really good solid sound to it. Though I'd rather brand something from 2006 as the best show...like either Prague 6/13 or Roskilde 6/29

Roskilde consert really got bashed in the media. I have seen Albany and Boston, but leeds is so much better. Axls looks like hes in the late 80s on stage.

If you havent seen this show,download it. That show beats alot of old illusion conserts to...Axls amazing and Buckedhead to.

After the sucsessful European tour things has gione bad for GNR in the states. Half emty arenas, not much publicity in media, the publicity they got has been bad overall. And iof course Chinese Democracy look like it not will come out this year either....

Axl had promised it, and he has been saying that couple of times. My opinion on Axl has change the last months. Hes a clown!

I saw inland invation, My Michelle sounded like 88 and Jungle is the best version by the newgnr so fare...

I think his voice is actually better, well on the European tour at least...no seriously. Listen to him on Nightrain or doing the long scream near the end of KOHD- he does that better than he ever did. The old Axl used to scream out the vocal with raw power, but the new Axl, from a technical perspective, is a more accomplished singer.

I think fitness is the key here. If he runs around the stage and gets out of breath he can't do the rasp as well and sings off-key. Standing still his voice can be spectacular.

Don't get me wrong.. Axl used to be the greatest rock n' roll singer/front man of all time..

But now

If you compare his voice from 93' till now you'll notice it's quite a bit higher and I'm not talking about his range.. I'm talking about his tone! Speaking voice included! This is because at some time between 93' and now he has damaged the bass end of his vocal chords.. Hense the lack of control and weak quality to his voice.. and notable change in pitch!

Doubt it? Listen to Donnington or his recent 'Do you know where the fuck you are from the VMA's! All treble no base!

There is many thing you can be critical to Guns N Roses(The painful solos, the setlist, no interview with Axl Rose, etc) But hes voice is great now. I dont say its as good as it was in 88-93, but very close to. When people nowadays are critical to Axls voice i can say one thing for sure-Go see a show!

I prefer seeing Axl run around and give alot of power from stage like in 02, insted of a boring show(like RIR5)were he nearly wasnt moving. At that show he looked like he was 66.

In my opinion he should move more , and sing weaker. Everybody can hear Axl singing great on a album. To see a band live, you want power. Look at the tacoma report from 02, thats what i call power.

At least they should drop some of the solos and especially the jams.
