  1. Lol, jk. I'm fine anyway, you all know how I operate by now, I go through months with no particular attachment to (or interest in) anyone, and am often quite content (well, most of the time). Then I'll meet someone, get proverbially struck by lightning, fall hard, it'll get fucked up spectacularly (either through my lack of confidence/lack of ability to understand how to disguise the insecurity which women find so much more offputting in men than we do in them, or I'll have to move halfway round the globe or some bullshit like that), I'll moan for a bit and then go back to stage one...

Also, looking at it, who did wee Eddi Reader's wardrobe in that music video? She was at school with my Dad, so she'd have been in her twenties when it was recorded... They've got her looking like a slightly mad grandmother...

If I would have to guess who of all the forum people is going to end up in a relationship

with real love and lasting happiness, it would be you Graeme. You sound like you are

intelligent, trustworthy, balanced and nice - a great starting point for any relationship.

Sooner or later you’ll meet some nice Scottish lass who makes your knees weak.

That can actually happen, it is not only a saying. Keep socializing with people,

playing in a band and enjoying life, it will all happen when it is time.

  2. I might get a tattoo before I am done spending money on this trip.

I was thinking of getting the flag of Colorado on my shoulder.

If you have been dreaming about having this flag tattoo on your shoulder for years,

then why not. If you just got the idea that it might be a good idea....

tomorrow you might have another view on the matter and then it is too late.

  3. There are a lot of strange things in TV. I saw one episode of a reality show of cops in LV.

What I learned was that prostitution in illegal in Las Vegas and the street prozzies

charge 60 dollars. The ones in the show looked like and said they have been addicts

and prozzies for 20-30 years. I am sure in a city full of gambling and trade shows there

are a lot of the more expensive ones as well, but the police only went after these poor ones.

I guess it is not illegal to buy, only to sell there? Knowing Arnold is very budget conscious,

I hope he spent some more money.

It might have been cheaper for Arnold to just fly to Germany. There are good quality

brothels with even skinny model type blonds from the Eastern Europe in addition to

of course the girls from the developing countries. The price is 60 per 30 minutes

and the girls have to see a doctor regularly.

The cheapest option (which I have seen in documentaries) would be to fly to India,

where the price is only 30 cents. That is if you do not mind dying young like most of

the girls working there, who are forced into the trade in one way or other (family tradition,

sold to brothels, the husband married several women, etc.). If a condom is used it is of

a thicker material than the normal ones and the same ones are used for years by all

the girls (they returned them like expensive items to the madam after use) and only

rinsed with cold water between clients (as in a documentary I saw).

Personally I do not understand this concept of paying money for sex. If someone wants

to stick a body part into some stranger for variety, why not just use the left hand

(or apple pie) and some lotion?

Brothels are legal in Nevada or at least some parts of it. Nate did something cool and broke out of his comfort zone. Can't we just be pleased for him?

If he from now on, is permanently happier because he had sex in exchange for

money, it was a good thing for him.

If from now on, the next 15 years he writes about his worries of all the STDs he

might have got, not so good.

If from now on, he is going to have nightmares and regrets of the experience he had,

it is not a good thing. It can be very traumatic even for a man to have the first

sexual experience (he has never even really kissed a girl) with a stranger you just met,

no tenderness, no warmth, no feelings - you are just with someone who is hoping it to

    be quickly over.

  5. People like the Kardashians make me think that Extreme Fundamentalist Terrorists are right to want to destroy us.

Pretty sure most brown men are like me and want to destroy dat ass first. She's pretty much the image of what most guys go for in the region, you'll see a lot of girls dolled up and plastic-surgeried to look like her.

Does the ass really have to be THAT gigantic? Is it attractive? She probably cannot fly anymore with normal planes,

the seats are too small. I wonder what all those fat injections are going to do her in the long run. There is always

the danger of infection in operations like that. I would hate to die for/with a fat ass.

  6. It is not anything new really is it? How many female presidents or prime ministers

are there in the history of Canada, US, England France or any other country in the world?

It should of course be about 50/50 or more women than men (women are more for peace

and less for childish wars). The fact is that Switzerland allowed women to vote in 1971 and

in some areas as late as 1989. In some other countries: UK 1928, France 1944, Italy 1945

and US 1920. I am sure there are still a lot of countries where women are still not allowed to

vote let alone speak in public or show their face.

Female children are used as sex slaves (“wives”) at 8 (Yemen), sold to brothels at 13 (India),

in some countries if women are raped they are killed by their fathers and brothers and

the rapists go free, and even in “civilized” countries it is not unusual to see older men with

teenagers they bought from the developing countries.

A lot of people have opinions about feminism which have all to do with ignorance. What kind

of moron is against gender equality? Equality does not mean that I cannot like cooking or that

I should spend 50% of my free time fixing cars.

I like the 50/50 model in parenting after divorce if both parents are normal caring persons

and that is what the children want. This model of course only works in countries where

women are allowed to work and are paid about the same amount of money of the same

work as men, and there is an affordable daycare system for the children.

  7. Yes, but I am not even trying to explain the concept.

One of my favorite things is to talk about relationships with strangers when we are stuck

somewhere for a longer time like a night train or just about anywhere. Strangers are

often more open about their lives than people we know. Some of the stories I have been

told are like chapters of some fascinating book.

There are all kinds of relationships and each relationship is different for each party.

This is one representation of how I see it at the moment.

Reasons for starting a relationship or staying together:

0.1 To avoid boredom, a habit, fear of loneliness

0.2 One is expected to live in a relationship

    0.3 Regular sex

0.4 Monetary obligations, money, more money together

0.5 Providing a home for the kids

0.6 Friendship, liking the other person

    0.7 Good sex and friendship

0.8 A similar sense of humour, friendship and great sex

1 Love: infatuation, weak knees, not able to think clear when the other person is in the same room

2 Love: a loving connection, feelings of love towards the other person, many sublevels 2.1, 2.2 etc.

3 Love: a shared personal, universal and unconditional love, levitation, heavenly – rare 1/100 000

    4 Love: a total explosion – rare 1/1 000 000

  8. In all honesty, currently? No. The last 3 months have, for the most part, been miserable. Before, I would say I was largely a very happy person, a bit insecure, particularly around girls, but otherwise optimistic and content with the direction of my life.

Returning to Scotland from Mexico after my internship felt completely wrong: I was doing the job I've wanted since I was 3 years old, having new adventures every week, living on my own. being financially independent and I know I meant something to an amazing girl who meant the world to me. Then I was unemployed, living in my parents' house in a cold, rainy country with a vicious incursion of 5000 snuffing out the spark I shared with that girl. I got a job in a shop 3 weeks after getting back (which is admittedly infinitely better than unemployment) and my life has stagnated ever since.

I know in my head I have a lot to be grateful for, an amazing family and friends who look out for me, I live in a beautiful place and fair play, my work is menial and I commute for over 3 hours every day for the privilege, but at least I have a job. At the same time, I know what happiness is and you can't use logic to make yourself be happy, happiness just is when there is reason for it to be, and I've gone from someone who felt that way 80% of the time, to someone who feels that way 20% of the time. I've never felt so consistently down for such a long period... :(.

What happened to you is quite normal. People who return home from working or studying

overseas find it harder to come back than what is was to leave home. You also had maybe

about the best time of your life, so it is just natural to feel down now.

The way you write makes me think that you might be quite good in writing e.g. a blog or some

other form of articles about things related to volcanoes. There are a lot of people fascinated

by anything related to volcanic activity. In countries like Japan there could be work opportunities

for native English speakers to write about their volcanoes and related matters.

They also have a lot of bars where you could play the music you love.

You have a lot of cousins? Follow how they are communicating with girls at the bars.

  9. I am for all kinds of flexibility. Flexibility in the music they play, the way it is played

and who is playing it. The only thing I do not want to miss in a GNR concert is Axl’s

voice and the stage charisma he has on most nights.

Moving a band of GNR’s size is a big operation. I would not make it dependable on one

or two or three members. The only one who is not replaceable is of course Axl. I would have

a pool of several people for each position to select from for each tour. In that way everyone

has more chances to book their solo work and take a break if they are not feeling well.

For example for bass the pool could be Tommy, Duff, a new X and one of the guitar players

or anyone from the tour group who can play bass (guitar techs?) in case of emergencies.

For the guitars I would select a pool of about 5-6 talented professionals.

The requirement for each position would be that they can play about anything composed for

their instrument. It could be also interesting to see some local talent play or sing with them

    a song or two.

Axl is a unique talent worth seeing live. The more people get to hear him live in about medium

    size venues the better.

  10. What has four legs in the morning, two in the afternoon, and three at night?

A baby, an adult, an old person with a walking stick.

My grandmother was able to remember hundreds of these.

  11. This Star song and the previous one have easy sing-along choruses, which is good

for the live performances. At the moment I like the Star chorus more.

Both songs sound like someone thought of an easy to sing-along chorus and they quickly

wrote something simple around it, they are like draft versions of songs. With a bit of time

they could have been developed into really good songs with evolving melodies and lyrics.

Now it is more just repetition of the same within the songs and in between the songs.

These songs are most likely better live than on record, like it was with the Life is Beautiful.

The singer’s boyish charm saves the videos, Ashba and Sixx just look like they are having

    an exceptionally bad hair day.

  12. Yes I am and I am grateful for it each moment.

There are a lot of things in the world one can be sad about: all the wars and everything

related to it, e.g. how some desperate parents now in Syria are selling their teenaged girls

to old men (worse than death). Or just about everything one can read in the news.

One can always have more money, more muscle, a bigger office, a more expensive car,

more friends etc., when is there enough to be finally happy?

I am sad when e.g. people I care about die or there is some unexpected dishonesty.

Even during the darkest of times, like the funeral of my best friend, I know and knew that

I am going to feel better soon again.

Where does all the happiness come from? At the moment I think that we are all born happy.

Then for some it is easier to stay in the positive frame of mind than it is for others.

There are people who are happy despite being physically disabled with pain, living in poverty,

growing up without loving parents, having no partner or pets etc.

I can feel unusually happy just by looking at the drops of water on leaves after the rain or

a ray of light on a beautiful flower. I choose to stay in happiness each moment and not to dwell

in all that is less than perfect in the world, in my life or in me. At times when that does not come

easy, I know from experience that happiness is always somewhere near - it is up to me to feel it.

  13. bbf is kinda ugly and not glamourous at all (zero charisma)

I think he's quite attractive, he has that Louis Theroux vibe about him. It's all subjective I guess.

I agree with you. He may be kind of ugly, but imo he is attractive and has a lot of charisma. Don't like the beard though.

I like the beard, I know a few men who have similar facial adornments so maybe I'm just used to mega beards. :-)

I think he is one of those men who look good with a beard. When kissing it is easier for the lips

if there is no facial hair.

  14. Old world gentleman-like manners are gone because of it - or so it seems. Blokes do not give up their seat now because, they think the girl might be a ''man-hating bar-burning Lesbo feminist'' and thus, ''offended''. So blokes just do not bother now. It is easier to be thought of as (at best) 'apathetic’ or 'lazy', at worst, 'rude or un-chivalrous', than, to be accused of being a 'outdated misogynist Victorian dinosaur'. The nightmare scenario is, being faced with some, hatchet-faced feminist ranting about her 'uman rights' being 'infringed'.

I must point out however that this is frequently man’s perception - we often have it in the back of our heads. It is not always the reality. I personally ignore all of that on a daily basis; I always seem to be helping women with suitcases and things and never once has it been perceived as an insult. Most women like, good manners. (You know who had gentlemanlike manners - and it might surprise some people? Jimi Hendrix. Whenever a lady stepped into the room, Jimi would always stand up.)

What is this got to do with man's dating habits? It is sort of the crux of the problem really as, gentlemanlike manners acted like a social valve between the sexes, as well as offering incidents of social interaction. As these manners have generally collapsed, men just do not know how to behave. You have this boorish 'sexualised' culture, the women becoming 'ladettes', the men rejecting gentlemanlike custom, so, some try to go to that extreme and get drunk and try and pull a date by saying, 'get your tits out luv'. Some however just buckle though timidity, whereas manners would have equipped them with the tools to interact. Throw on top of that dilemma a load of revolting internet porn, which surely distorts man's perception of femininity through regular exposure, and you have massive problems betwixt, the two sexes.

I really like it when men open the doors and such. Not too many men under 55 do it anymore.

It is always such a surprise that it works almost like an afrodisiac. I do not think men are

not doing it anymore because they worry women might get offended, I would say it has more

to do with growing up as kind of "genderless" equals.

I sometimes wonder how those men are like who have been watching hc porn daily from

the time they were 13 or so. Do they ever learn what it is really all about?

We had at work this really skinny girl, skinnier than models, her face was like a skull with

some skin on. I was quite amazed to see the reaction of some men at the mall to her,

they looked at her like she was someone familiar from porn, staring at her all bone bottom

and such. She has almost no boobs so that was different to silicon porn actresses.
