Ea wants the rockstar asset as part of the deal, it's why it's taking so long for them to buy them out. They want Rockstar as well, only reason they are really interested in Taketwo. I know that the rockstar deal is up in 2009, Sir, I'm well informed.

Rockstar actually doesn't put that much time or effort into their flagship titles, not anymore than any other developer might. There is only 3 men I can say that they put actual ridiculous amounts of time and effort into their games, and those 3 are:

2. Masahiro Sakurai

3. Hideo Kojima

As much as I dislike the MGS series, I can't deny Kojima's passion for the industry, and I can respect the man.

The gaming industry has already pushed far beyond the film industry. I mean, it's interactive. Films aren't interactive, you see someone get shot by the hero, all is well. In the game though, you are the 1 pulling that trigger, and depending what game it is, it usually is a very gory exploit (such as head shots are in GTA, where their heads blow off and they run around like headless chickens. Now if you want to tell me that's done with taste, and it's art, then sir, you should perhaps get your brain checked.) Games have also already pushed it about as far as things will go as well, politicians are mis-informally putting down their foots, and soon most gratuitous violence will be banned from games all together (perhaps that isn't such a bad thing.)
