Axl first mentioned it in 91.

Wow. It's better than CD's Prostitute. Fantastic.

@ chaos
You should try looking up in Merriam-Webster or Oxford dictionaries. You know, actual dictionaries.

This is a thread involving talk about Chinese Denocracy. I made a post in which I said why it probably deserved to be there/why I don't think it is a good album. Somebody commented on my post and I explained a comment I'd made earlier. Do keep up.
Also, I don't see how the pronunciation of the phrase in the Garden of Eden compares to using the made up word inconquerable when unconquerable already exists.
It's kind of funny...I make a criticism and a fanboy claims I can't "appreciate" and that I'm bitching.

@ Angelo: To be honest there's just so many things wrong with it. Axl's acapella vocals at the beginning are enough to make a person cringe, and the song in general just feels like a mess, even poorly produced at some points.
And inconquerable isn't a word.

It probably does deserve to be on that list. Some of Axl's vocal performances aren't the best (though I suppose there's only so much he can do about that) and to be honest the album as a whole does not match up to GNR's previous original work. Some moments are just bad. Scraped is probably the worst song to be released under the name Guns N' Roses.

I don't know if he was messing up, or if he was just trying to do his own thing, but Finck really knew how to put horrible sounding shit where Slash solos used to go.

Sad moment

I don't know how anyone can claim that the music and the band "still stays strong". The coming and going of members in the past 10 years is pretty shambolic and does not paint a picture of a "strong" band at all. Nor does the rate at which the band actually releases music. The same goes for GNR's fanbase. Don't they undersell tickets these days? Chinese Democracy was years in the making and still had ancient vocals at the time of it's release and sales didn't meet expectations. If this is a strong band I would hate to see a weak one.

@ Binge_And_Slash: I had Adler's Appetite in mind when I made that post. I've checked out some of their GNR covers on YouTube, and their performances are not even that entertaining, never mind comparable to GNR's.

The same applies to all ex-classic Guns members. Chinese Democracy, Slash and Duff's VR and solo works, Stevens stuff - it doesn't compare to Appetite, Lies, and the Illusions albums. GNR's ability was in it's collective effort.
