Sorry it's taken me so looing to get on here, moved house the day after the gnr gig and no internet!
In short, it was my 5th gig and bar far the best! Everyone seemed to have a great time apart from emo Ashba who's face was sour the whole gig.
The crowd.. Standing was full and the ticket touts were desperate to get their hands on them. I think maybe the last four rows of the seating was empty. The crowd were, well, a typical Dublin crowd. I saw about 4 fights break out before the band came on. People were just shoving others to the side (well, mainly women. They didn't seem so keen to shove any guys about) to get up front. There was a lot of europeans where I was that travelled just for the gig and they were shocked at how rough it was.
Highlights - Like I said, amazing gig! But I personally loved Dizzy's Solo, it really got the crowd going a lot more than any of the solo's and Tommys song was good fun.
Downside - no good T-shirts to buy! lol Designs were quite poor so went home empty handed.

Also, the dublin crowds are well known for having their heads up their arse.
For something so "well known" it's the first time I'm hearing of it.
Whether or not you've heard of it, it's pretty well known.

None of you people know what the fuck you are talking about. I was there. I know what happened.

Why aren't GNR coming back to Odyssey in Belfast this tour?
The fans in Northern Ireland were great and the arena was sold out! Why reward the badly behaved fans in Dublin instead? Should have had another gig at Odyssey, then all the true GNR fans would have made the relatively short trip from Dublin to Belfast to make for an even better show than before.
MCD was the promoter for both shows and they are cutting back drastically on the number of concerts they hold in NI. We're not even getting Bruce Springsteen this year!

No you see unlike the vast majority of posters here I actually have a grasp on reality. Irish crowds do not put up with bands that show them disrespect. With Axl you can never rule that out. I've also read a lot of posts on Irish forums that would indicate that someone in the crowd might start something just to fuck with Axl. Given the amount of cheap tickets being given away outside the venue and the free tickets being dished out by the promoter there will be a lot of casual fans at this gig. You know, the fans that don't follow every step of GNR and who WILL get annoyed if they are late. That is how trouble kicks off.
The band didn't disrespect the irish crowd, the promoter told the crowd the wrong time they would be coming on stage. Also, the dublin crowds are well known for having their heads up their arse.
MCD should have just booked them to play Belfast this time round.

Put me down for dublin!
Though be warned dublin - if you start the stupid shit you did the last time I'll be beating manners into whoever is around me!

1. Richard
2. Dj
3. Bumblefoot
To me Bumblefootneeds to stop showing off and actually play his solos correctly. "I have a double guitar", "I have a guitar with no frets" No one cares, just stop f*cking up your solos!

Hi Folks
I know this is probably a VERY long shot but I have lost my old ticket from VR's belfast gig back in 2005. Does anyone have a spare that they would be willing to sell?
My collection looks a bit bare without it! B)

I almost always stay out of political debates because, frankly, I can't be bothered dealing with right wingers hating the less fortunate and calling it normal society but the bit I have put in bold needs an answer.
So, it's up to each of us to stay healthy? I don't think most people have a choice when some of the following happens -
They get shot (happens a lot in america, sorry)
They get cancer
They get run over by a car
Their child gets sick
They get food poisoning
Also you state "Since I don't need health insurance now, I don't purchase it"
Good luck finding affordable insurance if you are ever unlucky enough to get cancer, because frankly most of the insurance companies would prefer that you just die.
