    Geez guys,

    ”beggars can’t be choosy”

"Beggars" really?????????????  thats so fucked up...perhaps if Guns N Roses released an album every few years like most bands do...and didnt treat their fans WORSE THAN SHIT..and kept us in the dark and hanging on stupid ass interviews like duff gave where he says "oh we do what we wanna do and it'll happen when it happens"  BULLSHIT...maybe we wouldn't be downgraded to being called "Beggars"  by fools like you!

  2. Im sorry but a thousand dollars is a bit steep for what they are offering in the locked and loaded set... this feels just like the vip packages the more money you can bleed out the more shit you get an i mean shit... I feel GNR or whoever is behind these sets is just fucking the fans money dry...however as gnr fans we have waited so long (soooo very long)  for any type of music release that of course we are going to drool over this stuff  right?  i can barely afford the super deluxe set and i am PISSED AS FUCK.. that they didnt include the vinyl remaster with that set...LOL SO you have to buy the vinyl separately and if you want that cool shadow of your love t shirt you have to buy that separately as well.. so if you get the super deluxe set AND the vinyl it will come to 214 WITHOUT shipping,,,if you also buy the t shirt with the vinyl and super deluxe set that comes to 249 without shipping....Ill skip the shirt and just get the super deluxe set and vinyl... however i will NOT be able to buy anything for myself besides the things to survive for a very long time...why they couldnt have gone the metallica or led zeppelin way where they could have made an awesome box set (just 1) filled with everything and made it affordable for everyone is beyond me.

so i have a question i hope someone can answer...has anyone ordered from the gnr site before?  do they usually deliver in a timely manner?  also does anyone know how much shipping is on these?  thanks so much..and sorry again for the rant.

Ah, ok.  Well, if they start pulling that BS, I would think people would react with their wallets...change providers, etc.

And on a side note, I have no idea what Republicans think they will gain by not trying to block this from happening.  If this causes higher priced internet, etc...the backlash would be devastating to them and just another bullet in Democrats' arsenal for 2018 and 2020....horrible move politically, imo.

THIS ISNT A REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT THING ITS THE GOVERNMENT TRYING TO CONTROL US

Let's face it, the bass is hardly a difficult instrument to play. A chimp could learn most bass parts in the GNR catalogue. Unless you're Larry Graham, Flea or Bootsy Collins, then I wouldn't say any bass player is underrated.

Bass hardly a difficult instrument to play...really??????   just because (some)  basses have less strings then a guitar doesnt make it any easier...im guessing you dont play bass?????   try playing at Geddy Lees speed or Steve Harris speed and then tell me "Bass is hardly a difficult instrument to play"

as to the original question to this post id like to say Duff is a good Bass player he has unique sound and odd timing Which NOT EVERYONE or as you say "chimp"  could just learn ....most people miss or dont even hear his unique fill ins...i agree with most who say he is the best bass player for Guns N' Roses.

Whatever happened, it wasn't good. They lost the spark, they ceased to care.

They were the greatest rock band ever when they started, now they're some sort of a Broadway act.

It's sad to see the band so dead when they still have such a huge audience all around the world caring about them. To think Slash is waiting for this to be over to finally record and release new music with his other group.

Im sure slash is waiting for this to be over...im sure it gets boring as shit to keep playing THE SAME songs for  2 years in a row..Guns N' Roses need new music...i cant stress that enough....if you continually live on past songs ..it eventually just crumbles...bands release new music to i dont know ...GROW..to see what works what doesnt...to see what the fans like (oop wait this is gnr we are talking about..they CLEARLY dont give a shit about their fans) ..so never mind!

Exactly. It's easy for people who don't have their comeback/career/money riding on Steven Adler to say Steven Adler has to be there. Nobody in the right mind would put a tour of this magnitude in Adler's hands. The guest spots were nice, but, true to forum, that wasn't enough for him. He shows up at shows he's not scheduled to play, expecting to play, he complains in interviews about not getting to play enough. Whatever the motivation or arrangement, it feels like Axl/Duff/Slash are all on the same page and know what they're doing and where this is going, and Alder doesn't seem like the kind of guy that could just go with the plan.

Im sorry but i never in my life seen someone like Steven Adler who wants to play their instrument so badly with a band he helped make huge...only for that said band to do a half ass reunion and treat him like dog shit wrapped in cat shit yet he still thanks them...regardless of what Steven did in the past it is so much easier to forgive...IMO steven seems to have such a great outgoing fun personality who seems to enjoy playing the drums more than ever...why they cant just bring him back and let him play is beyond me...cos that is clearly all the guy wants to do is play!

as for steven being unreliable or whatever else anyone thinks as to why he cant be givin a full chance at a tour ...umm perhaps you all forgot the uyi tours when axl would "maybe" show up or maybe not or maybe he would come on stage and leave for a tantrum halfway through..yet everyone seems to have forgiven him for that..right?

Yes, new songs will be debuted at Rock in Rio.

This will be the teaser for a giant retrospective box set releasing in Christmas which will feature AFD Remastered w/rarities from the AFD sessions, UYI: the original "naked" mixes w/ rarities (1/2 the album will feature the original drumming of Steven Adler), the 1996 "Lost Album" sessions w/ Izzy and Zakk Wylde, and Chinese Democracy era unreleased songs + the original "2000 Intentions" version of Chinese Democracy produced by Sean Beaven and a remixed Chinese Democracy featuring Duff and Slash. For nightrain members only, they will be bundling the box set with retrospective documentaries of the Appetite tour, UYI Tour (w/ backstage access to their legendary theme parties featuring vintage interviews w/ Mike Patton, James Hetfield, and Chris Cornell at the parties), the 2000-2002 shows and a pro-shot compilation 4k blu rays of the 1989 Rolling Stone/GnR shows, the 1991 UYI warm up shows, and the 2000 HOB show + warm-up shows at The Joint in 2001.

A bonus retrospective documentary blu ray of the "Wilderness Era" (1994-2005) will also be included in the box set. The "Lost Album" era and Chinese Democracy sessions are the focus of this documentary. It will be produced and directed by Werner Herzog in collaboration with HBO and narrated by Axl, Slash and Duff. The documentary will feature new interviews with the great Paul Tobias, Trent Reznor, Buckethead w/ hand puppet Herbie, Brian May, Izzy Stradlin', Matt Sorum, Josh Freese, Moby, and many others. These will be spliced with commentary and interviews from former producers and Interscope executives who worked on the Chinese Democracy project. Nothing will be held back. All the secrets of the last 25 years will be revealed....at last.

    • You will get behind the scenes footage of those final Fall 1996 sessions w/ Slash, Duff and Matt rehearsing at 3AM with Axl while Del James and Paul Tobias sit in and observe.
    • You will see Zakk Wylde and Robin Finck jamming with Duff, Slash, and Matt. Plus the "lost" 1995 Izzy sessions w/ Duff.
    • The infamous last jam session with Matt Sorum, Axl and Paul Tobias where Matt yells "Fuck you Yoko" at Paul in the parking lot.
    • Behind the scenes footage of Axl taking Slash to dinner and trying to convince him to sign on as an employee of the new Guns n' Roses in the fall of 1995. We will also hear the final phone call between Axl and Slash in 1996 and Axl's secret recording of the final dinner Axl and Duff have in 1997 where Duff quits the band.
    • You will see long hidden "media" footage of Axl running over albums sent by Interscope with his silver Ferrari and Buckethead terrorizing record execs with a butcher knife.
    • The infamous late 90's Halloween Party at Axl's house where he's mistaken for Barney by a kid. The uncomfortable footage of Duff, Matt, and Paul Tobias drinking beers and trying to interact at the 1996 Halloween party (the day after Slash quit) will also be included.
    • The crucial 1995 seance with Yoda/Sharon Maynard where she reveals to Axl that Slash and Izzy have bad psychic energies and may have been taken over by evil spirits trying to destroy Axl. Beta is seen in these sessions comforting Axl. Slash is rumored to be present at the seance, having flown out to Arizona in an emergency effort to save the band.
    • Late 90's footage of Josh Freese and Billy Howerdell jamming and putting together A Perfect Circle out of boredom waiting for Axl to show up.
    • The "lost" Brian May sessions with Sean Beaven.
    • Buckethead's recording for Chinese Democracy w/ a dog shit smelling chicken coop and hardcore porn being played in the background as the man creates his genius compositions while Roy Thomas Baker stares in horror.

If that wasn't enough, a double album tentatively named "The Perils of Rock n' Roll Decadence" is being worked on now for a summer 2018 release and a three year "farewell" world tour to support. The 1996 "lost album" and original Velvet Revolver sessions featuring Slash, Duff, Izzy and Matt will be reworked with Axl (and Josh Freese)  as the first album. It will be a hard rock album in the vein of AFD and UYI 1. The second album will be more progressive and experimental like UYI 2 and feature four original tracks from the reunited lineup (including Izzy and Josh Freese) + Chinese Democracy II big guns (reworked by Slash, Duff, and Izzy featuring Buckethead, Josh Freese and Brain): Thyme, Soul Monster, The General, Oklahoma, Atlas Shrugged, Oh My God Remixed (industrial elements stripped out) and a new final trilogy of odes to lost love w/ Stephanie Seymour written by Axl and Izzy Stradlin'. There will be some high profile guest collaborations on the 2nd album including Daft Punk, Maynard James Keenan, Dave Navarro and Josh Homme. Richard Fortus, Melissa, and Frank will not be featured on the album nor will they be joining the tour.

Both albums will attempt to leverage vintage Axl vocals from the 90's and 2004-2010 as much as possible - anywhere from 30-50% of the album will be culled from these vintage vocals.  There will also be a controversial hidden track to stir up some bad PR and keep in tradition with previous album releases by GnR. An instrumental only double album will be downloadable on gunsnroses.com for everyone who bought the album. Mike Clink will be producing the double album along with David Bottrill (Tool) and James Ford (Arctic Monkeys). The instrumental mixes will be produced by Trent Reznor, Empire of the Sun and James Newton Howard (Collateral).

The three year stadium world tour will be a celebration of the legacy of GnR and a final farewell to fans. Songs will be debuted at the Superbowl, billboard and mtv awards. All members of the band will be doing press prior to and during the tour. Some of the opening bands for the world tour will be Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, The Smashing Pumpkins (reunited), Pearl Jam and Nine Inch Nails. There will be a collection of co-headlining shows with U2 and Metallica planned to kick off year two of the tour. Steven Adler will be joining the tour to play all of AFD, Lies, and UYI material with Matt Sorum filling in as needed and playing the maracas and helping Dizzy with the bongos. Josh Freese and Brain will also be joining the tour to share drumming duties on Chinese Democracy and new material with guest appearances from Buckethead, Dave Navarro, Bono, and James Hetfield. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the band will be throwing mega theme parties all over the world after each show. Fans with VIP passes to the shows can hang out backstage with the band and attend these theme parties. There will be a rockumentary produced of this tour by Oliver Stone and HBO which will be released on gunsnroses.com to celebrate their final show. Live Blu Rays of these shows will be released + bonus songs jammed on tour with Izzy and Buckethead will be included on a three album greatest hits collection for the holiday season after the final show of the tour.

It's a great time to be a GnR fan!

LMAO...Thanks for the laugh...and damn does this sound interesting ...a GNR box set????????  holy fuck wouldnt that be amazing!...or ANYTHING NEW released!

Sure, on a personal level I would think... fuck that guy, he's an asshole... but I wouldn't throw the records out. Of course this has never happened to me before, but I would like to think that I wouldn't let their lousy personality affect the music, and music is all it should be about.

you are absolutely right the music is what it should be all about but if that person is singing about one thing and you meet them and they are an asshole for no particular reason it puts a damper on EVERYTHING!   you are then essentially just listening to a fake and phony at that point..

  9. Just my 2 cents....

I guess Slash is too good to take pics with fans...you know the people that made GNR who they are.

So im reading a lot of BS in this thread...

If someone doesn't want to be famous and known and recognized...perhaps they shouldn't pick a career where they CAN be those things! IE oh poor slash..getting asked to take pics..ugh.,..

why the fuck should any fan feel weird or guilty or any other way for wanting a pic or an autograph??????  THAT was the dumbest thing ive read here..as GNR fans we get treated like shit and played with enough by all the BS...

There are some bands (and i know this is going to come as a shock to some of you)  who actually do care about their fans who dont charge and arm and a leg to just get close to them ...who will sign and take pics with their fans all day.. (and not make you feel bad about it)  ...

  U2, Metallica, Coldplay etc also don't waste a large portion of their show playing pointless jams, solos and covers. Their shows feature new material off new albums they've released. NEW ALBUMS. Now there's a concept.  FFS even U2's nostalgia tour this summer supporting the 30th anniversary of The Joshua Tree has more merit than what GnR are doing now. At least U2 is playing the Joshua Tree from start to finish and are also featuring a new song in their encores. U2's most recent show had them playing 22 original U2 songs. GnR's most recent show had GnR doing 19 original GnR songs, 16 if you don't count CD, because let's face it nobody in the grand scheme of things gives a flying fuck about those songs.  It's unbelievable there are fans like you who can sit there and call what U2, Metallica, Coldplay and others are doing lame and then act as if GnR are some sort of fucking god like figures of integrity for doing what they're doing. Fans like you are the exact reason why GnR gets away with all the bullshit they do.

GnR right now are the absolute epitome of a band doing a cash grab tour. Milking their past, abusing the "reunion" factor.

What Bono Said....hit the nail on the head!

Ok, I'll give you that 'My Michelle' you just posted

But your theory is plain wrong. Like I told you before, he's mickeymoused the whole planet by now.

That awful DVD 'Appetite For Democracy' is Mickey Mouse in full mode in Las Vegas, USA.

The Bridge School Benefit disaster happened in the United States.

And this is from last year in the USA too and it is just as awful as those Paris videos

who gives a shit about Axls voice that drummer is too fast...and obnoxiously horrible!...maybe that's the reason Axl sounds bad to some of you cos of that damn drummer...i know when lars from metallica drums fast james tries to keep up and he sounds horrible too!

  12. Just my opinion here....to answer this question NO ...and as someone who has been a fan of theirs for 29 years now Guns N Roses are sure hard on their fans...
first off not every fan who really wants to see them live can afford the outrageous ticket prices...
so some fans depend on releases of music/dvds whatever...you know that "new material" stuff everyone talks about everyone bitching about.   (mainly lack of)
the whole VIP thing is fucking insane...and should tell you something... you pay  1 or 2 grand  and what????  YOU'RE STILL NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO MEET THE BAND???????  absolutely horrible!!!
If GNR continued to release new music over the years and some albums sucked OKAY so what you keep producing and making records eventually one will be amazingly good... I'd rather wish they made some shitty records instead of breaking up and having nothing for 16 to 20 yrs... and here it is again 9 yrs after Chinese Democracy was released hearing the same old shit i heard since 94 "they are making and working on new music"...they need to stop touring for now and take a breath before the same shit happens all over again!!!......

again this is just my opinion!  which of course does not matter!
