Have you seen the stream? They won the audience over and it was a great success for them. Same goes for the reviews of that show (besides 1 or 2 dipshits)
I watched it live and multiple times after and even though I thought it was great and know there was some good reviews at the time, iv also heard a lot of people dissing Axl’s voice and seen a few ‘worst headliner in years’ quotes. Also going by the crowd reaction (having been to Glastonbury numerous times) I can say that was a lukewarm reception full of a crowd that didn’t know anything other than sweet child o’mine.

So pleased they added a few different songs to the set and for the first time In a while it seemed like they were actually enjoying each gig rather than going through the motions.
I sort of wish they hadn’t played Glastonbury. I don’t think it did them any favours? It wasn’t their kind of gig but even if it was it came 20 years too late IMO. They arnt relevant to that kind of audience anymore. The sound problems (apparently the fault of the bbc) made them look like a poor live band to people watching on TV which is a shame as they sounded ace in London a week later.
Im not too bothered about new music being played. I’d rather they release stuff b4 a tour so it’s familiar at the gigs but I know some people are desperate for new tunes so I get the frustration.
I also think they need to scale it down a bit if they plan to tour in future. Do a few arenas for a change. I think the shows would be so much better in an intimate setting. If they want to keep doing stadiums then bring back the pyros to at least make it look good!
Also if playing the UK maybe do a few shows outside London for a change.
Axl’s voice is not getting any better but I didn’t think it was that bad on most shows and fair play to him for putting the effort in. You could tell he really pushed himself to do the best for the fans. 3 hour shows can’t be easy.
going by the YouTube videos, the Madrid show looked the best.

I know the Euro tour hasn’t finished yet but it would be cool to see them back for a few arena dates at the end of 2024? Kind of bored of seeing the big stadium shows now. An arena tour would be more for the die hard fans.

How are the chances to get tickets for cheap in front of the venue tomorrow?
Is that a thing in London?
Got into the 2nd night at Tottenham for £40 GA standing. Was very lucky though as there wasn’t many tours about. Leave it as late as u can before Gn’R hit the stage u might get a cheap ticket? Also check twitter. There’s always people selling tickets last minute on there.

I used to quite enjoy so glad to be here by bumblefoot. Wish he’d have stayed and been part of the reunion.

Right. Because making the money of his life, not having to worry about a thing, basically being on paid vacation and playing to the biggest crowds in his life is hell. Geez. The things you interpret in whatever you see. Also they hold him hostage and he can't opt out any time that all becomes too hellish for him.
Jesus just an observation…u ok hun?

Just rewatching from last night and is it me or does Richard seem really pissed off lately like he’d rather been anywhere other than on stage.

Didn’t Lana del ray kick off that her name wasn’t high enough on the poster so she threatened to pull out if they didn’t change it which they did. Sounds like she’s still annoyed?

Lot of people eating their words on social media that were expecting a shit show.
The band did us proud and smashed the life out of their set. Todays a good day for being a Guns N’ Roses fan!

I'd doubt we get any interviews, I think the BBC will try to ignore GNR for the most part
Agreed. I get the impression the bbc are hating the fact they are playing. They have hardly had a mention in the build up and can guarantee that Lizzo will get all the hype tomorrow night.
don’t think the band fit the agenda- 1

Glastonbury is so much more than a ‘festival’ it’s not just about the bands. U could go all weekend and not watch a band. The site is massive. Having been 5 times I can tell u that if uv never been then you are missing out on something special. Never been to coachella or RIR but I’d choose Glastonbury over them any day.

McCartney was there for Foo’s too. Maybe a duet for live and let die?

Duff, Susan, Slash and Meegan are side stage for the Foo’s.

They can still debut new stuff at Glastonbury and it not get broadcast. Despite it always saying it’s ‘live’ it never is. When Oasis played in 2004 they played 2 new tracks that the bbc edited out. Wouldn’t be surprised if GN’R have an agreement to only show the highlights?

Just watching the full show from last night. My god they smashed it! They sound so much better than previous tours. The set is much fresher, Axl seems happy and enjoying it and slash played his bollocks off! Can’t wait for London. Hope they do a long set that night. They need to make up for last years london shows but going by the recent shows I think we could be in for a treat!

Looks like TV eye next to new rose which is an Iggy pop song who Duff has been playing with recently and Iggy is in London doing a gig the next day so wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not a guest for the London gig.
also I reckon down on the farm is on the set for Glastonbury?- 1

Could be utter BS but then it could also be a ticket agency that have been given a list of dates ready to sell tickets when they go on sale. Slash has confirmed a summer tour and said ‘see u sooner than you think’ following the last euro tour so I wouldn’t be surprised if a tour is announced over next few weeks?
-
Hearing rumours of a Wembley stadium date next summer. Just googled it and there’s a website ‘allevents’ claiming 10th June as a date. they usually announce uk/European dates around this time of year so expect updates soon.

Is the blu ray available without having to buy the box set?

I was at both London shows. The first one was decent after the sound issues in the first few songs although the short set list was pretty poor. Was even worse the second night but at least Axl explained and did his best to get through. I’ve see shows on each of these European legs (slane/London/Barcelona) and think these were the worst shows. I felt like they seemed burnt out and got the impression they just wanted to get the tour over and done with. The lack of pyro was pretty poor but the setlist is getting really boring now. Drop the covers and songs played for years. Bring in songs like pretty tied up, move to the city, nice boys (I’m aware this is a cover but at least Is on a GNR album) the garden, bad obsession and just freshen it up a bit.
Feel a bit short changed if I’m honest. Hoping Slash and Axl’s recent comments about seeing us sooner than we think means we may get a tour next year with some changes to the show?- 2

I'm surprised they haven't yet taken the same route as the Stones, in just making everything available online, including show specific shirts/lithos. Would cut the bullshit ebaying of everything, and make it all available to the ones who really want it at the affordable prices.
Yeah that’s what I thought they would do? Think AC/DC do this when they tour too? I get that some shirts are exclusive to the gig u attend but it would be nice to get a generic tour shirt with the dates on the back.
-
Does anyone know if the merch sold at gigs are online anywhere? I didn’t have time to get a shirt at London.
-
Spare GC for sale if anyone is interested? £120 can meet at stadium or central London tomorrow afternoon. DM if interested.

Loving the video. Looks mostly filmed at Hyde Park? Wonder if the whole show was filmed for release? Might need a slight bit of editing of Axl & Slash falling over onstage but it was a great show otherwise.
