  1. Cover albums shouldn't count, cause they (almost) automatically suck. And some of those records are considered sucky, just because the didn't sell well. Aerosmith's Just Push Play is a great album, and I honestly dig St. Anger. But maybe I'm just biased.

TSI has some good songs (those that Duff sings on), but yeah, it's pretty effortless album.

I don't know, I really like "Honkin on Bobo" by Aerosmith!

  2. When I went to buy tickets to the Target Center gig, it said it was at "Full Floor" thing on the area to buy. Under neath it gave a bunch of options such as Basketball, Hockey, Ice Dance, Half Floor Concert, etc.

  3. Holy crap! I'm actually going to be able to see GNR live for the first time!!! Couldn't be more pumped right now! Aerosmith making a new record (which might turn out to be unbelievable) and GNR touring America! Even Obama can't make me miserable right now! LOL

Knockin' On Heaven's Door: I would take either the Columbus show or the Minneapolis show! His voice is awesome and Buckethead's solo makes a guy nearly break down and cry. On a side note, since Axl wore jerseys from each of the towns GNR played at, does anyone have a pic of Axl wearing jerseys from Minneapolis (vikings, twins, wild, twolves, gophers)

hey does the Knockin on heavens door bucket solo from Columbus and Minneapolis sound like the one from 2002 leeds? cuz i always loved that version of the song in general and really loved the bucket solo at leeds but didnt like that it was so brief.

also do you know where i can find recordings for those 2 shows?

Well, yeah. The Bucket solo is basically the same for the entire tour, but I think his solos' are the best here. It seemed that every show he would keep making the solo better, and better. These two are amazing!!!

-this is the Columbus one, AMAZING!

-can't find the minnesota one, its pretty much the same, GREAT!

I think Buckethead's solo and the emotion in Axl's voice make it so much better than anything the old band, dylan, or anybody else has ever done

STILL LOOKIN FOR A PIC OF AXL W/ A VIKING JERSEY ON!!! hahahaha lol

  4. Completely agreed! Might be the best cover they have ever done. (Whole Lotta Rosie, Knockin', etc) It should be on the next record and be a single.

Pretty good review of the show.

Fans at a Guns N' Roses concert in Townsville, Australia this week say they were left disappointed and angry by the performance.

Theyre calling for their money back after Axl Rose and his band came on two hours late and appeared to be miming ().

I think its an imitation band it is absolutely terrible, one concert goer said shortly after the concert began.

Audience members reportedly began leaving the event in droves as the sound problems continued.

Tell Axl I said get stuffed! one concert goer yelled at a TV camera as he left early.

He sux (:rofl-lol:), it sounds like shit, exclaimed another.

Some fans did enjoy the performance and went to the airport to say goodbye to the rockers.

Concert promoters say there will be no refunds.

Gotta love the liberal media <_<

  7. Hehe. Well, I can respect that you have your point of view, and that you personally don't want a reunion.

Me on the other hand can't understand why any GNR fan at all don't want a reunion. your post makes it clear that you weren't there when back in the day when GNR were huge.

GNR today can't even begin to compare to what they were. GNR was the biggest band in the world in the early 90's, like a modern rock version of The Beatles.

It's actually hard to imagine today, how big they were, the world is a totally different place when it comes to music.

    That's for one thing..

I mentioned that on the beggining of my post. Here, Guns N' Roses is still the most popular band, together with Iron Maiden.

The Slash issue.. to bash Slash contribution to this band as just an instrument.. that's just as ignorant as saying that Axl is GNR. He is now, but he never was. The only reason he is, is because he's the only member left that matters. But in the old band he was a frontman of a band that were filled with "superstars". The trio Axl, Slash, Duff were the face of GNR in the early 90's, though mostly Axl/Slash. Slash was a huge part of Guns, and a huge part of their success. You can say whatever you want about the songs, and who wrote what, cause everybody knows that Axl/Izzy wrote a major part of the material, but Slash's addings made much of it what it is. November Rain without Slash's solos? Estranged?... just to name a few very obvious ones that Axl have full credit for writing.. On ADF on the other hand, there are a lot more of Slash. Welcome To The Jungle.. probaby wrote the music for that one alone, if we should believe Axl and Slash's stories about how that song came along. That song alone is enough to justify why Slash shoud be there.

See? Slash is just an instrument, he never really said anything on the songs.

CD is a great record, but it isn't GNR, the band now isn't GNR, it is and will allways be Axl's project, hidden under the name of GNR. Because he can, he has the rights to the name, and there is a lot more money in it when going under the GNR name than going solo. Still, the orignal GNR if continued and stayed together would be in the Metallica/ACDC league, now they are just selling out on the name. The band still put on a great show, and I enjoy it every time I see them, but I'm there for Axl, and I really miss the band that they were. They were an interesting band, with a lot more to it. Now they are just another rock band with a great singer, living on past glories.

Cool Video...You can't even hear Axl sing on "This I Love" cause the crowd is so loud; and most don't even speak English, that's amazing! And that huge flag at the end..."Holy Shit!"
