Look, I wanted to apologize for my over the top rhetoric. But it gets very fucking frustrating to see people just come in day after day who trash your favorite band, and it doesn't make sense to me why people who hate the new band would come to this section just to annoy people who LIKE the new band. And with some members, there's a hatefulness to their posts. And as far as the MDC comparison, that only really goes for people like BBA, who keep coming back with multiple accounts, pretending to have a bunch of different identities, just to hate on Axl and the new band despite being banned over ten times.

That's where I disagree.

He may not be my favourite singer ( Mike Patton is ) but I can't see how anybody could replace that voice, that rasp, that high pitched scream and all the colours that he's capable of expressing.

While it's the chemistry between the five original members that made AFD what it is, I think that Axl is most definitely the most recognizable element of the band. You can immediately tell that it's him singing.

Axl is recognizable but at the end of the day he is one of many bands I listen to. His voice was really refreshing to hear but everything can be a gimmick overtime and you'll want something new. The mods are too busy banning people for no cause. They're irrelevant and don't have anything productive to add so they ban people. I was level up 2 minutes ago and got banned for no reason. No warning. Nothing. Ridiculous. I actually never broke rules on this forum to warrant getting banned. They just say your BBA, and make you go away. And delete all your posts.

If Axl were to stop being angry at Slash and supporters, Stephanie Seymour, the press, what would he have to write about? Would he pen happy songs? I think anger drives a lot of Axl's songwriting. If you back track Chinese Democracy back from Appetite the anger seems to evolve and grow with an ever increasing quantity of enemies.

Some singers do musical theater and can sing with passion as part of an act. Axl's songs on the other hand always seem to be genuine with palpable emotion based on true to life stories.

I think Axl doesn't hate Slash or anyone anymore but he has to maintain that anger to avoid a writers block. I just think it's curious how very few songs have been made after 2002.
