  1. Ok. For some reason the site kept kicking out my password making it impossible to enjoy it. Every time I wanted to check a different thread I had to go through the same aggravating process. Finally I had to give up and get a new password. It was like 15 characters long... to memorize and type into my phone. Random mix of alternating letters and #.

I had to do something similar once with my bank. Far less painful than what you guys put me through. And the information you hold is far less critical.

Now I'm supposed to change my password when I can't find where to do that. I'll probably just give up and not come back. This was my favorite forum. But I have a life and little time to "hack" into a FAN SITE.

Moderators: feel free to move this or or delete or what you will. I still got FB & Twitter for news on my favorite band. Someday I hope to meet them. Good luck

  2. I realize that arguing over this stuff is fun for most people, but come on. No one except those involved, and maybe not even them, know what happened. We will probably never know. "It's Axl's because he _____!" Well it's their fault too for letting Axl get away with everything. Why don't the "Axl haters" realize that when a drunk crashes his car, it's not Model A's fault. It's the drunks fault for elbow bending to many times. Everyone was too inebriated or struggling too hard with sobriety. Axl was probably getting a SNOW JOB by fake friends and no one in the band stood up to or for him. Read Duff book. He does write about his brief discussion with Axl over it.

  3. I quickly scanned through the some of the comments. Did no one else notice that Axl seldom left the stage? He seems to be there for all of Estranged and most of This I love. I'm up to part 8 (Better) and I believe he only left 5 times. Not 2 or three times a song. I think he is trying to do more. Maybe show off for Papa Beta?

  4. To me, I wouldn't mind hearing them finished. When I first heard OMG I did not recognize it as GnR. Silkworms just sounds to painful to sing.If it were finished I'd give it another shot. To me they sounded like songs created for a fictional movie rocker to sing. Not horrible, just missing a certain something. Like Inside You Inside Me by Brendan Frazer for Bedazzled movie. It is an ok song. Of the right people covered it it could be great. Tweaking!

  5. To think this all started because of Liberace! In a music appreciation class I learned that people BEHAVED at shows. Then Liberace paid some girls to cry and scream during his concert. It caught on. Now the whole idea is dangerous fun. Drunk fights, moan pits, to each his own.

But quit hitting ME or groping ME or throwing full beer cups at the band because I'm getting hit with your spray, and your spit. I go to see and hear the band, whatever band. Why did you buy a ticket if your back is going to be toward the stage most the time?

People who screw around like THAT are pathetic wastes of space. Mosh if you want just don't involve EVERYONE, please.

  6. My two cents. You teach others how you want to be treated. For good or bad that is what has happened. The rants ( something about BonJovi springs to mind ), the lateness, etc. Once you have, it is very hard turning over a new leaf. 20 years ago GNR was over over exposed, now they are under exposed. I think it is in some sort of effort for improvement.

As Axl stated in one video intro for the new line up, after introducing the rest of the guys, Axl said something like " And I still haven't figured out who the F--- I am...."

  7. I remember the heckling U2 got when they declared they would no longer do the old songs. They only wanted to focus on the new stuff. Fans were not happy. I think that did change. Just goes to show you can never please all the fans all the time.

I would be happy just to see any incarnation of the band live. Somehow, I keep missing it.
