A couple notes about the production quality:
- To properly get the sound of a concert you need to add "room tone" to the video, which this doesn't have. It makes the music sound bigger, grabs crowd noise and will make it sound less like a soundboard recording.
- The editing is really lacking here. Granted, the last time they edited together footage from the Appetite for Democracy residency, it had Michael Bay levels of cuts and was seizure inducing. This could have to do with the lack of cameras available. There appears to be three "hero" cameras on Axl, Slash and Duff and then the way overused wide camera, and not much else (I guess the drum attached camera counts, though it's shaky as hell). This video appears to be edited by a non-Guns fan as it misses key moments like the "Fuck off!" part of ISE. The edit lacks a lot, and fans will most notably notice a lack of Axl shots.
Glad to have some new stuff, regardless. But there's a real lack of professionalism in the compilation of this video.

It's a glorious mess. Axl needs some work on the timing.

Devious Bastard definitely has Illusions/Snakepit guitar vibes.

The Black Crowes live on!

The mixes of these songs finally breathe. Pretty cool. The drums on Riad... wow. Groovy. Maybe it's because they're higher in the mix with the bass, but damn they sound hot.

Here's a live map of where the fires are in Malibu. Definitely looks like Axl's place is in danger. He's on the edge of the fire. :/

The crowd looks like they're at a blueberry festival. Dead AF.

The lithos look like they either have to be folded or be microsize to fit in the box. No collector wants a folded litho or poster.

Happy Appetite 30!
Here's 66% of the album, out of order!

What a Frank-enstein monster mash of drum beats over Nightrain. Frantic mess.

They better play 'My Favorite Pillow' this show.

Soundboard is 3% Axl's jangly bracelets.

Trunk is a big fan, but he's not a sit-on-an-internet-forum-and-share-Periscopes-of-a-muffled-soundcheck type of fan.

Nice to have the audio channels broken down into rhythm and lead like the old days. The Chinese wall of sound wasn't very dynamic.

Really enjoying this through some Bang & Olufsen H6 headphones. I can hear Slash's converse gripping the stage.

Coma FTW. Easily the best effort by all. Now, bring it home Axl.

Yes, they consciously decided to up the tempo for some songs. But, Frank can't keep tempo. He rushes and drags and can't transition from a four-on-the-floor to a ride. His transitions on Estranged are a good place to start if you're not hearing it. Sounds like old videos of me playing drums in high school.
With that said, he sounds great on Coma so far.

YCBM is going to set a land speed record at this pace! Faster! Faster! Faster!

Love the quality of this. I can hear every moment when Frank rushes. Need J.K. Simmons out there to keep him in line. His tempo is hilariously off.

That moderator was intolerable. Like, the worst. Who is he to judge the quality of questions, when his first question is, "Hey Axl, what do you think of mammals?"

Vertical video is the new tl;dr

First of all, Frank plays "on top of the beat". He always has. He doesn't sit in the pocket. He plays in a way that it makes it feel like the tempo is always rising and the beat is a wave which is falling over and crashing on the shore. The reason why we notice the drums so often now is that Steven was a groove player, sitting back in the pocket and Matt plays like a robot always on the beat. Frank plays in a completely different way. Also, Frank adds fills and extra bass notes which Duff doesn't play. It muddles up the groove and makes it sound as if some of the song transitions are falling apart.
It's exacerbated by two things:
1) Frank plays heavier and is louder in the mix
2) Duff's bass is always noticeable, whereas Tommy's bass was generally buried
For whatever the reason, the band sounds off a lot of the time. I subscribe to the theory that it's Frank as the weak link. Duff isn't always going over to Frank to just say hi. He's going over to try and slow things down.
Vegas 1 was a bit of a mess, but they brought it around for Vegas 2. What irked me was that when I was at Coachella - Richard's guitar is way too loud. Obscenely loud. I've always joked that I bet if we could actually isolate Rich's playing it would sound amateur when he does his punching of the power chords. In the three-headed guitar monster, it was hard to tell - because let's be honest Pitman was probably dropping "sub-bass" at the same time (that's a deep cut for you liner note fans).
Before I went and saw the three shows I did, I thought this lineup looked awesome on paper. Sure, I would have rather had Matt on drums, but I could live with the compromise. Now, I'm less confident. Rich's guitar will eventually be turned down, they'll eventually get Slash's levels right, but no one can fix the mess that is Frank on drums other than Frank himself. Stop the extra fills, lay back and start and feel the songs again, big guy. I think they'll gel eventually, but wtf were they doing in rehearsals? There's no way they sounded like this then.
As for the speed of the songs. It hasn't nothing to do with curfew. It has nothing to do with video screens (they're cheesy graphics on a loop). I have a hard time they're using a click track and if they are it's quite sad. They obviously had a predetermined speed they wanted to play at, but it's the drummer's job to push and pull the pace. If Slash starts out PC too fast, you bass drum-snare slower. You reel him in. If Axl starts out November Rain like he's actually getting wet and is running to find an umbrella, you slow him down. I think adrenaline has a lot to do with it.
Onward and upward. I'm headed to see more shows and I hope this, while an issue now, becomes a thing of the past. Best of luck, Guns. (Please advise speed limits are not suggestions, but rather the law.)

Still waiting on my VIP package to arrive. I bought the Signature package. Has anyone received theirs yet? Maybe it's because I live in Canada? I'll post a pic when (if) I receive mine.
As for the lanyard, I was pretty choked when they didn't hand them out at the show. Buying the highest tiered package was a bit of a letdown. They didn't want people taking photos while on stage and the backstage tour was 5 minutes of the garage where they bring in the equipment and where they eat lunch/dinner. I'd like to think it was more disorganized than anything else and hope it improves as they get their footing. There was never a moment where I felt 'VIP' during the event. We were lucky that we got to see soundcheck from the party area, even if they left us in the concourse for 30 mins too long.

The surprise was Mickey Mouse! He came in from just down the road!
As for Tommy, he's ALWAYS grouchy. He's also generally drunk. I've met him a couple times and the last thing he wants to do is chat with fans. I sat at a hotel bar with him once and we were the only one's there and he basically told me he wanted to drink alone. Eventually, he conceded and he ends up venting to me. Strange times. After three whisky's, he was out of there. Good times!

Axl is going to be pissed when he finds out they released a version of Chinese Democracy that has 7 screw-ups in it... what a bizarre choice to release this version.
