Axl is not like most of the other musicians ( although quite a few artists have their peculiarities), so things around him, like his band , work in a different way.

Some credible musicians are obviously able to take this for years (like Tommy e.g.), so it cannot be too mad.

I would like to hear the remainig "old" stuff, I would enjoy having one album from the current line-up within the next 2 or 3 years and I don´t consider this impossible.

But if nothing like this happens it would be kind of sad but that´s the way is. As I don´t pay Axl for being "normal" or anything at all he owes me nothing.

Finally, I have sympathy for the headstrong.

Well, I personally would get mad, really mad, if I had to learn that some stranger got hold of parts of my personal conversation. Even if it contains only discussions about which color to choose for dying my hair (or similar nonsense ). I would give no guarentee for anything if said stranger would use the documents to make up his own nasty stories about me and persons I know and offers them to public.

Axl is, for different reasons, very particular ( I hope, that the right word) in things concerning himself and his privacy. I guess he felt much worse than I would have and if he feels bad he isn´t always acting appropriate.

This issue could have been handled in a much better way from GnR , but if there is someone to blame for the mess in this special case , than it is MSL.

So what MSL had was legit...

Basically yes, but I´m sure, not in every detail. I still believe in Rons words & I have seen, that MSLs perception and acting is somehow, well, twisted.

Based on everything I read about the whole issue at different places, I think he used the facts he got to create his own story.
