Slash like any other musician wants to play. He doesn't need the money it's his desire and passion that drives him and his need to be creative.
All things considered he is a winner in anyones book. This guy does what he loves to do and gets paid for doing it and he has made a great career out of it. You have to respect the guy for that...
Slash just gets on with it and has a good time, Axl has been allowed for too long to get away with his antics and seems so caught up in whatever, that the music gets lost.
Course he needs the money, all musicians do.
a percentage of musicians have long made their money, invested well and only take work when they want too, and play because they have need to satisfy their creative hunger not greed/ or lack of money.
then again feel free to argue and disagree..

haven't got around to listening to the album yet, bought my tickets for the concert. going to be strange seeing the guys without John, but i have seen Josh play with PJ Harvey and with RHCP. I do rate him highly as an artist/musician but John always had that edge.. new chapter/new dawn...

once, still have very mixed feelings over it. didn't enjoy it as much as i thought i would. the build up was more exciting. the crowd turned on Axl for being late. then again you don't keep drunk irish fans waiting. the irish can be very unforgiving and never forget..

i saw Def Leppard and Motley Crue in the late 80's and again in 00's to be honest the 00's performances not that great but the atmosphere still as electric..
they are all getting a bit long in the tooth and they have more off days than on but i still wouldn't pass up on an opportunity to see them.
it is what it is!
